Sticking points of the position of a mask path to a position of writing - brush

Hello

After effects so something VERY strange - I create a pen path by drawing a power signature in sequels (see pink path in the attached screenshot), then I click on'm "shortcut to bring up the mask path. I make sure that the mask path is selected, then I copy. I add the traced effect and in the position of the brush, I paste the mask path points. I did exactly that way in the past but I've lost my marbles or some weird preference is set to make smaller glued track points and nowhere near the same position that I took so much time to draw! Why? How can he stick more small and somewhere else? (green points will be the points of the brush to write it on the effect) Please help - I can't know what's the problem here - tried during the past 6 hours: O

I need to reveal the original image with the writing on the effect I do not understand why it doesn't work this time.

Thank you SO so MUCH!

I guess that this model will be used as a model nested within a model of other dimensions.

Make sure that this model dimensions and pixel format matches the layer.  The traced effect should then work correctly.

If you want to use the effect on another layer - a solid, perhaps--make - you use the size of the model for solid.

  • Convert a path in the shape of a mask path

    It is a question that has been requested before, but as far as I know, has not received a satisfactory answer.

    So I have a rectangle that I made in a shape layer, and I want to it by using the effect of the race, because I need the form to scale, and I found that the scales from the standard race in a shape layer when you turn the STROKE layer

    But with him being a shape path and a parametric shape path that I can't copy/paste this shape as a mask.

    At this point, @Todd_Kopriva

    usually appears to copy and paste the following text:

    "command to convert a path of the parametric form of a Bezier curve layer:

    You can convert a path of a Bézier path after the path has already been created by context-click (right-click or control-click on Mac OS) the Group of properties for the path (for example, the Rectangle drawn 1) and choosing convert Bézier path command in the context menu. If the path is animated (retouching), converted Bézier path is a static path based on the way at the present time; keyframes are lost. »

    Who indeed converts the path, as far as I can see, but unfortunately this does not seem to help me pass this way in a mask layer

    Any ideas?

    PS someone else has a really weird problem with this forum where you will write a response and everything suddenly find your cursor/Carat jumped a few lines and you type half an answer at the end of a previous line?

    I went through this dozens of times on this forum. To be successful, you need to set a keyframe. Here goes:

    1. Select your shape (Rectangle 1) and right click and select Convert to Bezier path
    2. Open the Rectangle 1 path and set a keyframe
    3. Copy
    4. Select the layer that you want to add a mask of
    5. Choose the pen tool
    6. Click anywhere on the layer to set the first vertex
    7. If you try to put a mask on a shape layer, you must reset the pen tool to create a mask instead of a new form, before setting the first vertex
    8. Dough

    That's all. Works every time. The only problem is that the layer you add the mask must be posted on the default transformation and the shape layer, that you have copied from must also be to default transformations. That and everything works every time.

  • Mask path is not correctly copy to a position of the Null object

    I created a mask path to an animated logo which is the basic text. To track the letters correctly I created a mask path and used the handles of the tangent to the curve at the edges.

    When I copy the mask on a position of objects Null path, it copies OK but all the curves have disappeared. I tried to adjust again with the tangent handles, but it does no good curves, they are still gaps. Is it possible to copy the mask path and keep the curves? I have attached a few photos so that you can see the difference between the two. Any help on this would be appreciated.

    AHHHH I got it!

    the reason you see this jagged line is the time interval by default of the path to the technique of the post is 2 seconds and there is not enough frames here to cover everything that you hide the curves of the path to a path of accurately. It must simply more images to interpolate exactly as you drew it since there many vertices and not enough frames to store this information in. as soon as you drag the last keyframe of a more reasonable of images amount, your tween will be fine and not serrated.

    short time duration - less frames - motion in stairs:

    longer time - more pictures - smooth motion:

    example of the final result. you have to experiment just how long you need it to be exact vs winding movement you want

  • Variable width tool not work - cannot adjust the position of the points of width - Illustrator CS6

    Hello

    I'm having a Mare with variable width tool in Illustrator CS6...

    When I add points of variable width for a stroke I can't move the position of the decimal point of width. I watched several videos showing the width point slide seamlessly along the racing line - but I am unable to do this in my session of Illustrator!

    However, if I move the cursor width-tool on the end of the race only point, a (~) symbol will appear and I am able to slide that point only along the race. But this isn't a suitable way for me to realize the effects I'm trying since.

    I would be very grateful of any advice or experience with this issue.

    Thank you very much!

    When you create a new point width, you can move it in the direction of width but does not change its position. Howeven after the point is created, you can move your cursor near the point which is along the central axis of the race, to move along the racing line.

  • How can I play a clip of the position of the read head instead of from the point to?

    In first Pro CC, if I already put an in and out point in my source monitor, space plays clips of the point bar in only.  I prefer to be able to move my CTI at any place in my clip, press the space bar and play from there, but it always aligns the point in and play from there.

    The game around shortcut is a joke because he plays not the location of the playhead and loops at seemingly random intervals.

    Any thoughts?

    Yes, 7.2.1 represents the current version.

    Normal default behaviour of the organism is exactly as you want it to be. By pressing the space bar should start playing the position of the read head. Playing around should similarly work compared to the CTI.

    As to why these commands do not work as expected, I see that two causes:

    1. keyboard shortcuts have been customized. It's easy enough to check. Just open the keyboard shortcuts dialog box and research "Toggle Play-Stop" and "play out."
      Of course, the shortcuts could be the culprit if the wandering behavior is limited by using shortcuts. You have not indicated if the buttons give the same results.
    2. Something is messed up in the preferences of the AGENCY. To check this possibility, I recommend that you close the BODY, rename the folder profile- ... \Documents\Adobe\Premiere Pro\7.0, then revive the ORGANIZATION. In this way, if this measure does not resolve the problem, you can easily return to your customized preferences by removing the new profile - folder and rename the file old back its original name.
  • Trigger path changes grows when they are copied to the Position shape parameter

    Hello

    Richard Gerard has been useful and well as other people.

    I got sorta getting a stroke to a path.

    (So far), I can't get a form to follow the same path.

    My form is a small ellipse, commonly referred to as a circle!

    I saw this post- http://forums.CreativeCOW.NET/thread/2/959085 Interestingly,

    but does not work.  My shape layer consists of the name, "Blue Circle" and two properties below that:

    Content and Transform.  If I copy the path to the Transform-Position the path property is about 2

    times larger than the way I want to use, and does not start at the correct place.

    After reviewing the post above - I've added a 'path' to the ellipse in the 'Content' area, I see the path, it is the right size,

    but the circle does not follow this path.  If I try to copy this path to a position property, no dice,

    the path completely replaces the form for the wrong coordinates.

    I must be something basic is missing here, but remain to be discovered.

    Advice will help you.

    Thank you

    The way to the station is offset because your solid black with the mask is not in the default position. Point of anchor and Position must be reset. Parenting can also blame this upward. Here's how to fix it.

    First of all, until you copy and paste path remove parental and solid with the mask back to its default position by resetting Anchoe Point and Position. Now when you paste the path to your blue ball it will exactly match the path on the solid layer. Once the path is set, you can redo the parenting and reposition layers but you must include the blue ball. If it was me I create value null and do as the parent of the solid Black, the blue ball and the card. Now, you can animate the position of the null value to scroll on the map and the blue ball will follow.

    To match the date of the race for the blue ball just hanging out you the right most diamond keyframe on the position of the blue ball until it corresponds to the last position in the race... That's all he has. Your timeline should look like this:

    One last question. You have a non-standard publication size. It cannot make properly. What is the reason for the odd size. NTSC D1 widescreen should be 872 X 486, it is acceptable to have a model which is 872 X 480 also. MPEG compression requires an even number of pixels, so your 853 dimension is very likely to cause problems or be automatically resized to a standard frame size.

    My Pro M10 suddenly stopped starting or to reach the POSITION.
    When the switch is pressed, green light turns on and stays on and that of about it, no display and not even the rotation of the fan to the top. :(

    Funniest, it is the battery always fresh and is fine.
    As you know, this model is out of warranty now and I'm technically minded and disassembled laptops before so I don't mind open my machine.

    Just thought I would ask here first before doing so.
    Hope someone can point me in the right direction of what's wrong, have heard a rumor that the M10 with a video fault, but surely would not stop the machine POST'ing would still.

    Thank you very much

    Hi Jay,.

    Difficult to pin-point your problem remotely as you will understand, however, I expect the laptop either emit a series of beeps (in a type long, short of the boss) or else Flash HQ led to give some clues as to the reason for the failure of the POST.

    First I'll try to remove/replace the modules of RAM, hard disk and also the optical drive to see if it improves the situation. Otherwise, I would tend to suspect the motherboard failure.

    I would like to ask if any Graph control NOR for .net enables drag and shift the points on the graph with the mouse.

    Hello

    It seems that you may be heading in a different direction, but I thought I would offer my 2 cents.  One possibility would be to update the point in the data table based on the position of the mouse in the MouseMove callback and replot then data.  Although it may not fully satisfy all your needs, below is a simple example of how to proceed.  If all goes well, it may be of some use to you.

  • Determine the position of a part of the signal on a graph

    Hi all

    I have a problem. I determine the position of a part of the signal on a chart. So, I have to determine the maximum value of the part (this is not a problem).

    Signal a lot of noise. I did some filtration but still signal have noise. Concerning this, filter change signal, two later when I take one measure, there is a possibility that this is not true.

    Anyone has idea how to determine the position of a part of a signal automatically, for the various signals (similar).

    There are photos attached where is what belongs to an interest in a signal. There is a VI where is an a test signal.

    Thank you

    Hello

    From the screenshot, I understand that you only interested in the local maximum of the signal.

    There is a VI that detects peaks when you specify a certaing point and this point maximum width.

    Later, it's just a matter of setting the value of local maximum of you. Basically, you'll have to point once again got 1 d table than VI.

    I enclose a VI that can be a good starting point for your application.

    Best regards

  • Which is the correct Point on the waveform of the Signal?

    Hello

    Please see attached image.

    I have labview software which is to measure the load of a load cell output. According to me, that the reading is accurate, except with the software Labview, we get up to 50 lbs less when we read it with the oscilloscope technician.

    What I see is that the technician measure the amplitude of the signal at the top and when there is little noise reading of the oscilloscope is even higher because the placement of the cursor is higher.

    I see that LabView is more or less because when we place the cursor oscilloscope in the middle of the measurement at the center of the signal signal not top it it reads then the same my labview program. I also have a low bypass filter in labview software.

    Which are the correct measure points waiting for oscilloscope to measure? in the picture as an attachment the white slider is positioned correctly, or is the correct red cursor?

    It's just an example of image zoom to see better.

    Thanks to you all.

    JCollado

    If I understand you correctly the width of the track to noculars represents 50 lbs of difference as? If you think about how works a noculars, then the center of the line displayed is probably the most accurate. The line width is determined by a few things, noise superimposed on the signal being a. So, with a noise filtering in your LabVIEW its 'width of the line"program will be closer / diluent, as it will have removed some of the noise component. Place the cursor in the middle of the path displayed in the noculars is an approximation of this, sort of looking for the point where the noise is "average" out 1/2 top / in-1/2 under the cursor, which is about the signal of 'data '. It is difficult to make measurements of accuracy of a noisy signal with a noculars for this reason, where do you put the trace? If you were to remove the filter program LP you would probably get the equivalent of the "wide trace flag" which would be a series of values that plotted close the underlying signal, but with high and low variations equivalent to the width of the track.

    So after all this verbiage, I would read the trace Center, perform an average of noise 'eyeball '.

  • same function brings a different number of points in the various calls?

    I use an automated test program, tests of mobile pistons. The test will extend the plunger and collect data of position through a few pots and the current data when moving. He will then go to the piston, and make the same data collection. Then, he makes other tests. The data are written in files and are then retrieved for after the treatment trials later.

    I use the same function for the extension and retraction, and I notice that the number of points of data collected during the measurement is always much less than the number of points collected during September.

    It's the 3rd version of function, I used to collect the data of the test apparatus, and this question has stuck with all 3 versions. I joined the service in this post. First level VI is large and contains several screws at a lower level, so I can't understand all of this. I use a USB-6008, LV8.5 Daqmx 8.5.

    Any ideas why this would be different each call?

    Explanation of the function:

    The shaded area VI with 'NOR' is a Subvi, which communicates with a controller for the tester. He sends the position to move the piston. In the loop, the daq assistant grabs data from the 6008 and examines the values of pot. If the values are close enough together, several times, it stops the loop and data collection (the piston has reached the end of its run). After the loop of data collection, the rest of the service is to write data to a file.

    NOTE that only the case 'true' inside the while loop questions here, because that is where the rub.

    PS. Sorry the front looks like crap, because it's a Subvi to its façade has ever seen.

    -SK-

    I think that the culprit is the DAQ Assistant.   I suspect that the first time you call the DAQ Assistant (this will always be in the course of an extension) it takes some amount of time to get the task configured and started.  As the piston is already running, you then have less time to take samples.   When you make the withdrawal, the task is already loaded into memory and can begin to collect samples immediately.  You should get your task daqmx Installer and started outside the while loop before starting to move the piston.

  • Need to know the position of the bitmap wrt 0,0 on blackberry screen field

    Hello

    I have a form that contains a few text fields and a field of bitmap image. I use this bitmap field to capture the signature.

    The problem is how whether the y of the bitmap field. I used the getContentTop and getTop methods but they give me the position of the bitmap field wherever I want to know where my bitmap field at that time regarding the point 0,0 of the screen while I scroll vertically.

    SO if someone scrolls the screen so that the field of the bitmap image is moving upwards or downwards, and the area of the bitmap is always visible, I still know where my field bitmap regarding the point 0,0 of the screen.

    If you see the atttached image, I want to know the position there of the bitmap that will be different in the two scenario illustrated in the image.

    I created the following code to discover something I did some time ago, in fact I think that I have found this code on the forum somewhere and modified to fit my needs.  Not sure it has never been used in a production application, so no warranty.  But may be useful.

        public static final XYRect getFieldExtent(Field fld) {
            int cy = fld.getContentTop();
            int cx = fld.getContentLeft();
            Manager m = fld.getManager();
            while (m != null) {
                cy += m.getContentTop() - m.getVerticalScroll();
                cx += m.getContentLeft() - m.getHorizontalScroll();
                if (m instanceof Screen)
                    break;
                m = m.getManager();
            }
            return new XYRect(cx, cy, fld.getContentWidth(), fld.getContentHeight());
        }
