Sticky mouse trackpad

My left key my Track pad sticks and I was wondering if it removes as a key on a keyboard or if there was another recommendation on how to clean it

Thank you

If MouseKeys are under the trackpad, and then the bezel needs to be replaced. The keyboard is not supposed to be repaired without specialized equipment. Years the main summits could easily remove and reinstall, but not now.

YMMV

is there a way to fix this

    Hi Kimberly,

The best place to start is to contact technical support for your computer manufacturer or the mouse/trackpad carpet if it is separate.  They will probably ask you update the drivers/firmware/software applicable to the unit at first (which is what you need to do if you decide not to get their support - but they are the ones who can help you better and the fix can be much easier).

I'm moving this to the hardware subforum generic because I don't know your OS, or anything on the device or computer - but experts, should be even more fun to help you if the above does not work (but it should and is the best first choice).

    Good luck!

  • mouse / trackpad medium sensitive & can not change

My mouse / trackpad is so sensitive that he clicks on his own all the time. It does if often it is almost impossible to use the computer at all b/c he wants to always click on something and take you away from what you type. I guess it's the possibility of a click by tapping the trackpad went hyper.
I tried to go to control panel - mouse, but there is no sensitivity setting. There is also nothing that appears when you do a search for "sensitivity", "trackpad", "touchpad" or even "pad". So, is there a way to fix this? Perhaps to lower the sensitivity or disable the click in typing option?
Just upgraded to Windows 7 but I am having the same problem, I had when used Vista.

Finally got to the Asus technical support. There was a missing pilot and now things work better. No idea how he wasn't there first place however.

  • MacBook Pro slider is not clicking on things. normal mouse/trackpad

    Hello

The cursor on my Macbook Pro retina 2012 stopped affecting what I click on.  The mouse and trackpad are normal, the cursor will move normally, but nothing is affected when I click. I tried a USB, mouse, but still does not.

I turned he walks to the switch, it left overnight, but it still does not.

Recently he has had a problem one or twice with the warning of problem of sleep/wake, don't know if that is related.

He carries the original operating system, cannot tell you what it is b/c I can't open the info.

In addition, my office has had the same problem 2 days ago, which picked up after leaving it and unplugged overnight. Strange coincidence?

    Help, please!

    Hello inafromfitzroy,

If your Mac does not respond to the commands of your mouse or trackpad, first try to reset the system management controller (SMC) and the LANDAU.  Start safe mode, and then see if you are able to navigate through your system.

Reset the management system (SCM) controller on your Mac - Apple Support

OS X Yosemite: reset PRAM your computer

Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

    Start in safe mode

Follow these steps to start in safe mode.

    1. Start or restart your Mac.
    2. As soon as you hear the startup tone, hold down the SHIFT key.
    3. Release the SHIFT key when you see the logo Apple appears on the screen.

After the Apple logo appears, this may take longer than usual to reach the login screen or your office. This is because your Mac performs a check of directory of your drive to boot in safe mode.

To leave safe mode, restart your computer without pressing any keys during startup.

    Take care

As soon as I open the box and pull the mouse on, I noticed the rubber supports the fresh new mouse its also sticky. I feel that the distribution of support rubber happens over time, even if you do not use the mouse. Now, I'm not sure I want to open the 3 remaining boxes of mice. • X120e mouse / Trackpad configuration error

    Hello

I just bought a X120e and I'm really enjoying it, except for an annoying bug:

I want to disable the trackpad ' tap to click on ' as my awkward finger often end up turning it when I want too. For me, this should be a simple configuration in the trackpad configuration change, but when I choose Control Panel - hardware and sound - mouse or the Lenovo - settings of the mouse devices Experience, I get the message:

Unable to connect to the Synaptics Pointing Device Driver.

If you have installed another PS/2 pointing device driver, please uninstall the Synaptics driver by clicking on the Yes button. You must then reinstall your device pointing to your external device driver again.

You want to uninstall the Synaptics driver now?

Standard Windows, the mouse configuration screen then appears and I can't access the Synaptics trackpad settings to disable tap to click option.

Needless to say, I have not installed the external mouse drivers.

    Anyone has suggestions or solutions?

    Thank you

    Paul

I had the same problem when I unboxed my X120e.  I uninstalled the driver UltraNav, rebooted, ran ThinkVantage System Update and chose to install the Synaptics UltraNav driver he suggests.  This solved the problem for me and now I can access this missing page in the mouse control panel.  Sorry for the inconvenience!

  • Satellite P500-12F - mouse trackpad not working not

    Hi all

I just bought a P500 opportunity and the touch pad does not work, I tried to market through f9 FN keys but nothing will work even the left and right mouse buttons, I would like to ask if there is something else I can try or if not what kind of costs are involved to fix it please also where would I get a backlit KB and it would work on this model? When I type some time missing a letter as if I'm not hitting the keys hard enough, but I think I am lol...

Any help really appreciated, thank you very much.

    Sincerely, Wayne...

    Hi CT1965,

The touchpad does appear in Device Manager correctly and did you test if other FN keys work correctly?
What operating system is currently installed?

There are different reasons why the touchpad does not work, but first of all I recommend reinstalling the driver for the touchpad itself. You can download it from the official European driver Toshiba download page.

Regarding the backlight keyboard: it s based on the motherboard if there is a second keyboard to the keyboard backlight connector. Normally, you can check this if you disassemble the laptop and remove the keyboard and take a look at the motherboard, but if you are not familiar with the disassembly of the laptop I would ask a maintainer approved assistance. :)

  • 2 months ago, I bought a mac pro and it is damage by a spillage so mouse trackpad and keyboard not working.does guaranteed covered by whom?

I have to pay to repair it or it's free?

Warranty covers manufacturing defects, not accidental damage.

The (free) quote, decide if the cost of repair is worth.  Do not expect that the damage has already begun and can worsen.

To pay for the damage, check with the owner's insurance and credit card company to see if either a special clause to cover accidents (just say * may * exist).

  • MacBook Air meets does not to the clicks of the mouse or trackpad

There must be something serious to the software (or firmware?) on my MacBook Air. He stopped to answer all of my keyboard clicks or trackpad today. The two input methods work very well in the Bootcamp partition / Windows 8.1.

I restored Time Machine (use only the keyboard commands) and this did not fix it. I have reset the PRAM and no improvement. At first there was no edge to restarting with the Apple logo, which appears. Then I formatted the hard drive, all wiping (once again in control of the recovery mode + are that the left click will not work). Reinstall OS x is not possible that the final click required for installation on the hard disk requires a mouse click and can not be triggered by keyboard commands I can find.

I tried to do it in single user mode, but could not get the unix commands to allow arbitration of disk mode (no idea what it is; just found online).

I am currently looking for another restore from Time Machine.

Any ideas? This doesn't seem to be a hardware problem as the Bootcamp partition has functioned well before I nuked it.

I managed to reinstall OS 10.10, but during the final stages of reinstalling my judgment of clicks of the mouse/trackpad works again after having worked briefly to the recovery partition after formatting the drive. Something is be re-installed inhibits clicks work. I restore to a clean installation with no software installed so I don't think this other program or driver. There is a deeper level of formatting the drive I can do?
