    I have a Dimension 3000 bought in 2005, upgraded to 2 GB of RAM.

    I recently implemented almost from scratch, because Opera program and profile would be repeatedly corrupted, making me lose the email. (This reappeared even after reinstall opera clean, do not use old messages or other profile files). Therefore, I restored a backup of the C: partition Ghost (there are others for my data and downloads) I did shortly after the purchase, after which I had installed only Ghost and two games (I uninstalled the games). I installed SP3 and ran Microsoft Update. I was trying to reinstall other programs that I use now. It's Rhapsody; one of my kids 'synchronize' a player MP3 Sansa Fuze with Rhapsody.

    A few days ago when closing Internet Explorer, I got a message that should be closed and I could send a report to Microsoft. It is also used to happen before, from time to time.

    Then, more recently, when I closed Rhapsody, I got a blue screen with a message that there was a problem. He said I could try to change some settings in the BIOS.     The 0x8E KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED can be caused by a faulty service/driver, damaged hard drive or defective display card not enough space, or memory, Hardware/software incompatibility and third-party remote control software. So to get started:

    1. test your memory. Run Memtest you can download from http://www.memtest.org/#downiso. Download the ZIP file, extract the ISO and write on CD. Once written to CD, boot your PC with the CD and run Memtest. Allow the test to run by at least 3 passes or until it gives errors. If you have more than 1 memory module, run the test on each module separately. Try running Memtest from a cold - start unplug your PC for an hour to cool down, then immediately run memtest again when you next turn on the. This way memtest will run when the memory is cool and after the 3rd pass when the memory is hottest.

    2. update your display driver. Reference Dell seems to have highlighted 3 different models of Dimension 3000 and so there is 3 different Intel display drivers. See if you can find an updated driver on the Intel Web site. If you use a graphics add-on card try to find an updated driver from the manufacturer's website. If you have any trouble finding a driver let us know what brand and model of graphics card you have.

    3. update the Rhapsody software. (I think it's the software you using http://www.rhapsody.com/-software ?). If it's Rhapsody software I think it seems to integrate into your Web browser and it's perhaps why Opera and now IE are mistakes? You can uninstall Rhapsody for a while just to see if it is the reason for your BSOD.

    4. when the 0x8E BSOD is caused by win32k.sys, yours, is it then possible, it is caused by control software remote third. It can include programs such as VNC, PCAnywhere, etc. of Teamviewer, RAdmin.  If you use one of these programs, uninstall it and see if the PC stops mistakes.

    -The Rhapsody program - try to update or uninstall.

    Error code KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR STOP: 0x0000007A indicates that the data page of the kernel of the required paging file could not be read into memory. It seems that there are some problems with the hard drive.

    2. in the search box type 'cmd' and ENTER. Right click and select "Run as Administrator".

    Resolution

    Solve a problem of bad block: Generally, a status I/O of 0xC000009C or 0xC000016A code indicates that the data can not be read from the disk due to a bad block (sector). If you can restart the computer after the error, Autochk runs automatically and tries to map the bad sector so that it is more used.

    If Autochk does not scan the hard disk for errors, you can manually start the disk scanner. Run Chkdsk /f /r on the system partition. You must restart the computer before the start of the analysis of disk. If you cannot start the computer due to the error, use the Recovery Console and run Chkdsk/r.


    WARNING

    These status codes are common ones that have specific causes. For more information about other possible status codes that can be returned, see theNtstatus.h file in the operating system Microsoft Windows Driver Kit (WDK).

    Another common cause of this error message is the defective material or failing RAM.

    A virus infection can also cause this bug check.


    Resolution

    Solve a problem of bad block: Generally, a status I/O of 0xC000009C or 0xC000016A code indicates that the data can not be read from the disk due to a bad block (sector). If you can restart the computer after the error, Autochk runs automatically and tries to map the bad sector so that it is more used.

    If Autochk does not scan the hard disk for errors, you can manually start the disk scanner. RunChkdsk /f /r on the system partition. You must restart the computer before the start of the analysis of disk. If you cannot start the computer due to the error, use the Recovery Console and runChkdsk/r.

    Warning   If your system partition is formatted with the FAT file system the long file names that use the Windows operating system could be damaged if you use Scandisk or another MS-DOS-based disk tool to verify the integrity of your hard disk from MS-DOS. Always use the version of Chkdsk that matches your version of Windows.

    Solve a defective hardware problem: If the State of e / is C0000185 and the paging file is on a SCSI disk, check the cabling and SCSI termination for problems.

    Solve a problem RAM failure: Run the hardware diagnostics feeding by the system manufacturer, especially the memory scanner. For more information about these procedures, see the manual of your computer.

    Check that all the cards in the computer are properly housed. Use an ink eraser or electrical contact treatment, available in electronic supply stores, to ensure the adapter card contacts are clean.

There is more information above this error while ensuring that the hard drive is not complete & update bios I did everything but nothing seems to be working & whenever I boot from the XP CD I get only so far this error keeps coming back. I'm out of ideas & all my experience is not to help me with this error. Can someone help me with this little problem turning into a big headache?

    Additional info: Asus M/B rejki Bios update applied, Intel Dual Core CPU E5000 @2. 60 - GHz, 1 GB ram, 160 GB hard drive 70% free, running XP Home SP3 fully up-to-date with.
