Stop randomly using Vista

The computer will be stopped at random. I saw this problem last week. I have not installed new programs or updates and virus scan finds no viruses.

Hello

Could be linked to the heat, make sure that the computer has adequate ventilation, maybe use a small fan to
Add air flow. On a PC, the cards, the memory and the cable (both ends) will need to be reinstalled.
Remove all power and remove and replace those, don't do not just tight. Can't do that on a good laptop.
Also check the power supply Plan of Advanced Options to make sure there aren't some parameters here that cause
power off.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-Device-Manager-install-driver.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
get new manually if you wish.

    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

Remember - this is a public forum so never post private information such as numbers of mail or telephone!

Suddenly, I have a small window constantly, opening and closing very quickly.  I managed to be frozen and could read the following: the URL is C:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe

The syntax of the command is incorrect

    Parameters
No idea how I can get this to stop?  I use Vista.  Thank you.

Okay, I think that I fixed it.  I went in the Sys Config, Start Up and unchecked "common SDK-Sonic Solutions/Roxio."  Also not controlled all the other stuff video I don't need at start-up. I then restarted it, of course.  It has been a few hours now and no window flashing.  Roxio is a nice program, but has been a problem on my computer. By auto-off starting this program, it seems to have solved the problem.

Check with your manufacturer for newer drivers video card (special forces), known issues and
other possible problems - check also the video card and game maker forums. It can even be
a problem created by the interaction of two pilots (rather than the usual cause), perhaps the
video driver and a swap file error and other causes work together to create the problem.

    ==============================================================

Even if you have done some of these methods here is the complete troubleshooting tool while
    dealing with his need.

Think video drivers especially if it may be others. Refer to the section of driver in my generic bluescreen
methods of troubleshooting below. BIOS, low and antispyway/antivirus/security chipset drivers
programs may also cause this. Check the resolution of the problems and when you get to the pilot and sections tests memory refer to the generic methods in the next message and then returns to the resolution of problems
    If necessary.

    BCCode: D1 0x000000D1

    Cause

A driver tried to access a pageable (or that is completely invalid) address while the IRQL was too high.

This bug check is usually caused by drivers who used a wrong address.

If the first parameter has the same value as the fourth parameter, and the third parameter indicates a runtime operation, this bug check was probably caused by a driver who was trying to run code when the code itself has been paginated outside. The possible causes for the error page are:

    • The function was marked as pageable and was operating at an IRQL higher (including obtaining a lock).
    • The function call was made to a function in another pilot, and that this driver has been unloaded.
    • The function was called by using a function pointer that was an invalid pointer.

  • Failure of intermittent internet connection using Vista on Verizon DSL

I had problems with Verizon DSL stopping randomly and does not to return to the top for an unacceptable period of time. Oddly, it doesn't happen on the Vista machine at home. None of the Mac has this problem.  If I remove the machine network Vista and replace it with a XP machine is also no problem.  It's on a cable network.

I think I can find some interesting information. What I did was as much the DNS entries my network connection that I could find. I have used google, OpenDNS, DNSadvantage, Verizon, Norton a few steps from my web services and everything else I could find. There certainly reduce questions but had some interesting effects for example one of the URLS pointing to obsolete the secondary DNS information.

I'll post the DNS entries here except those owned by my web host.

This is not a complete solution. Sometimes, still, but not as often. Some sites still bring the network to its knees.  Sometimes she lets wait for the connection to be reborn and run a WHOIS on the site that has the problem of one of their DNS to add to your list. I put it to the top after google's servers and it seems to work most of the time.

I went through all of the so-called "patches" of this problem without success.   What is the solution?  It seriously makes me batty.

    Hi mark11_23,

Got several things for you to try:

    1. How old is your router, you should consider updating the firmware on your router. Some older routers do not sit will be Vista (or 7) and require an update of the firmware.
    2. Update the driver for your NIC directly from the manufacturer's website. You'd be shocked to see how many sons of connection to network on these forums are caused by a newer driver.
    3. No chance that you are able to get the issue of duplicate mode safe?
      http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode
    4. If the problem does not occur in Mode safe mode, go to a clean boot and locate the item causing the problem.

  • Gmail button (in internet explorer) keeps having moved to the right in my taskbar when I wasn't staying on the left (that's why I first open). How can I get the taskbar buttons to stop randomly to reorganize and stay in order?

Gmail button (in internet explorer) keeps having moved to the right in my taskbar when I want to keep it on the left (that's why I first open).  How can I get the taskbar buttons to stop randomly to reorganize and stay in order?  I'm talking about the buttons on list of my open applications and documents in Windows Vista.  The bar tasks are "locked", but the button of the window open with gmail in internet explore reappears suddenly in the good moments apparently random.

It is in the middle part of the taskbar (what I found online so far is on the start menu, the quick launch area or area/system tray of notification, the location of the taskbar in full, either about grouping taskbar - I disabled because I would like to separate).  Can anyone help?  I don't understand why this is happening (or why microsoft would never do).

Lock the taskbar that it prevents to be moved elsewhere on the office and maintains the different sections where they are - it does not block the tabs showing what is open where they were when they were opened.  There is no control for this function.  Maybe if you uncheck similar taskbar buttons group it will help, but I honestly don't know (and fear he won't make any difference - it may even make things worse).  This also happens to me and I was unable to find an answer.  I think that there are more than just random, but I can't telll you why he moves the legs periodically (sometimes it works fine all day and other days it happens almost immediately).  But still, there is no control for this function, so there is no way to tell him to keep a specific order or to lock an established order, once it has been created.  I suspect that it happens because the notification area icons appear and hide and new programs open and close and which changes the amount of space available and so he rearranges things so that they match and apparently does not always consider the original sequence in which the elements have been added.  Maybe if you remove the Quick Launch toolbar and then add again, the order will reset (but that I know not - probably not in the original sequence, which I doubt is logged nowhere - it did not work when I tried it).

Unfortunately, I don't have a solution to this problem (and I spend a little time looking for even before myselff posed the question) and do not believe that there is a.  It is also unfortunate that you can't move them so they can be put back in the right order if they change.  I don't think that there is nothing wrong with your system or that it is something that can be repaired or fixed - it's just the way it is and we just have to live with it.  I don't know any 3rd party software that controls the order of tabs open in the taskbar program (but you can check out Bing, Gooogle,www.tucows.comand www.download.com to see if I'm wrong on this - here n "t all when I looked trying to solve this problem for my own system).

I'm sorry it wasn't what you wanted to hear, but it's like that.  I don't know if it's different in Windows 7.

    Good luck!

Remove CleanMyMac 3.  It can damage your Mac.

    http://macpaw.com/support/CleanMyMac/Knowledgebase/how-to-uninstall-CleanMyMac-3

Rid the Mac of the torrent application.  Torrents are a good way to introduce malicious software.

Exactly what that mean by "improved chip" when you replaced the logic board?

    Ciao.

  • Stop randomly Qosmio X 770 - 138

Hi guys, just bought my new Qosmio X 770-138 a week ago and everything seemed fine until he began to stop randomly. It is not proper closures, just boom--off.

Now, I can tell you that it it does NOT heat related, it happens that when I'm idling the CPU temperature is around 40-45 degrees Celsius, so I ruled that out of the "education".

It never happened when I run games high performance that makes the temperature spikes CPU to max 60 degrees celsius.

Now, I tried to use Reeltime "turn back time" to a precedent that date, it has not stopped, that it worked fine for a day, then he began to close again.

Now I've just updated the BIOS and the nVIDIA and INTEL video drivers and it has not closed for about an hour, but I don't think I'm in the clear yet.

No one knows what causes these kinds of closures? I have F-SECURE protection from virus/spyware and firewall which is true, so I should be relatively well protected against the bad guys.

Thanks in advance for any help! :)

    > Now I've just updated the BIOS and the nVIDIA and INTEL video drivers and it has not closed for about an hour, but I don't think I'm in the clear yet.

And now? The laptop works stable? Has he stopped after you apply updates?
It is possible that some driver compatibility problem caused these cases
However, use Notepad for a longer period of time and the report that the results would be interesting to know how it works.

  • Laptop stops randomly and gets stuck on the saving settings

Basically, we have some laptops 10 + this will stop randomly and get stuck on the "saving settings screens.

Here are the different models of toshiba R500-R600 M10 M9 M5

We changed versions of bios etc, reimagee them, even used an image of windows xp disc rather than soe.

Hardware tests OK and customers do not something in particular, some when others when you connect using applications office, back in after a while. Some use docking stations, others not.

    All ideas

    Hello

Just a question: are you an authorized service provider?
I ask this question because it looks like you are an ASP because you have so many laptops and you have tested different things.

It's really hard to say what the reason is for this but I think that in this case, you should contact Toshiba directly. Maybe it s a known issue and it can be fixed in a few minutes.
So ask for it and wait for a response.

  • Satellite A200 (PSAE3E) - stops randomly

    Hi all!

I got an A200 PSAE3E in my possession which stops randomly. He really died the hard way. I have excluded a software problem, because even this wenn waiting for PXE, so no start-up of the drive HARD or another device...

The only idea I have left is to Flash the BIOS to get it to work again properly as I thought it might have something to do with faulty breaks? Or anything that leaves the BIOS to be originally...
When he is not the BIOS, then the motherboard itself must be faulty which leaves me only one option: throw this piece :-D

    * Up to now, the real question: how Flash BIOS without using an operating system like Windows? Is it a kind of combination of button I can press start so he can a BIOS file from a USB flash? *

    Help would be very appreciated.

    Hi medis,.

Without an operating system it s not possible to update the BIOS. All updates of BIOS provided on the official website of Toshiba are windows, depending on whether you need an operating system running up-to-date BIOS.

To be honest I have don t think that the BIOS is the reason for this

The laptop is overheating or hardware malfunction s motherboard or the CPU

If it s just an overheating issue you can solve the problem yourself by cleaning radiator with a jet of compressed air to blow the dust from the cooling fans.
If it doesn t help you need professional help of an authorized service provider. Guys have professional tools to make an accurate diagnosis of your laptop, so they can tell you what to do in this case.

  • Stop random Satellite P105-S6004

I've had my laptop for over a year now and its been send me questions since I got it. I had the hard drive replaced by toshiba, while it was under warranty too. But from this stop randomly, it's 'new' its not covered.

In any case, I ran dianostics etc and nothing seems to be wrong, but the laptop stops randomly without any warning. Now, he USED to blue screen, but perhaps his tired to do this more?

I have a laptop cooling pad, and I cleaned inside the computer, etc. Nothing seems to be a problem with the RAM or the fan. So I'm not sure what I need to do, then take it somewhere. Any help would be appreciated!

    -Lindsay

    Hello

are you sure there is no third party pre-installed software on your laptop that can be responsible for the blue screen or stop the down?

It is not easy to say why this happen because the blue screen can be the result of software and hardware problems.
