Stop to remember the download locations

Firefox remembers the last place I saved files from different sites. I need to disable this option. The "browser.download.lastDir.savePerSite" option is set to False, but this does not change this behavior. Deleting the .sqlite file associate does not work either since that removes only the existing preferences, only it doesn't stop new not be paid.

Is there another option for change or extension which will force firefox to quit remember where files have been backed up? (as it happens more, preferences are not even written).

Setting to a specific universal folder custom downloads not work either. I need the path to download defaults to remain the same as the last downloaded file any site I download from next.

Since this is a feature that must have been intentionally and constructively to the added to Firefox (and there was a time where he was not present) then it should be easy to simply cut. So basic and simple that it has to be.

Could check you that the browser.download.lastDir.savePerSite is a Boolean preference and not a string type preference? If it's a string type preference, do a right click Reset, close to everything: config, open it again and create a browser.download.lastDir.savePerSite again as a Boolean preference.

  • How can I disable each site remembering the download directory?

This is similar to a post I did a few days ago. Reposting because I don't have all the answers to this post, most likely due to my having accidentally marked one of the responses as 'useful' before checking to make sure that if he solved the problem.

I was told that Firefox 11 would have a pref for deactivation by remembering the download directory site. I now have 11 of Firefox, but unfortunately, turn off this "feature" that many users hate and considered a bug is not as easy checking or unchecking a checkbox in the Options of Firefox as it should be.

COR - el said "the browser.download.lastdir.savePerSite pref does not exist by default (it's hidden).»
Create a new Boolean pref with the name browser.download.lastdir.savePerSite and set it to false. "

I did and it has no effect. each site remembering the download directory was not disabled. I tried my recent history without tab open with the exception of a new empty tab of compensation. In the drop-down menu, I selected all and in the boxes, I chose the browsing & download history, form & search, Cookies and Cache. That had no effect.

Is there anything else I can try?

Also, is it possible that the developers of FireFox will add disabling by site remembering directories to download option in the Options instead whether a hidden feature? Given the number of users do not like to remember, I think that's what they're doing by site.

I encourage anyone who reads this please go to
    https://input.Mozilla.com/en-us/feedback
and submit a suggestion to disable remembering directories to download option in the Options rather than be a feature hidden by site

I was told to try the announcement to the bug report area. Who found a solution. I was told

I'm 99% sure that the problem is that you have created the preference

     browser.download.lastdir.savePerSite,

    as opposed to

     browser.download.lastDir.savePerSite

(in tiny "d" instead of the capital "D" in lastDir)

So I recreated the preference to capital D and that disable each site remembering the download directory

    Hi Deborah,

You use Internet Explorer to access the Web sites?

Perform the following steps to change the location of the download folder, if you are using Internet Explorer 9.

    a. open Internet Explorer 9.

    b. click the gear icon in the upper right corner, then click on discovers downloads.

NOTE: Alternatively, you can press CTRL + J instead.

    c. click the link Options .

    d. click on the Browse button.

    e. navigate to and select the folder you want IE9 to use as the default download location, and then click the button Select a folder .

    f. click on OK.

    g. click on Close.

If you want to reduce the number of unnecessary files on your hard disk to free up disk space and help your computer run faster, use disk cleanup. It removes temporary files, empty the Recycle Bin, and removes a variety of file system and other items that you no longer need.

Perform a Disk Cleanup and check if a space is done in the C drive.

  • How to change the download path or location in android fire fox

Please give me answer, I'm not able to download any file

When you try to download a file, you get an error message?

By default, Firefox for Android uses the Android downloads folder because its default download location. You can change this as follows.

Change the download location on Firefox for Android, please visit the topic: configuration preferences editor. You need to change two different settings to make this work.

First, you must know the path of the folder to use. An application like ES File Explorer file manager will be useful if you do not have a file manager.

    (1) open a new tab to Subject: config (type about: config the Awesomebar and hit the arrow go or tap Enter).

You can bookmark it for easy future access.

    (2) in the search box, type down and press enter

3 scroll to browser.download.folderList and tap on modify, then change the value from 1 to 2 (from 'by default always' to the 'last used folder'). The change should appear after a few seconds.

    (3) scroll back up and press the big button "+" to the left of the search box to add a new parameter

    (A) the name of the preference should be browser.download.dir (this option stores the last used directory)

    (B) on the right side, type Boolean and in the popup, change it to a String

    (C) the value is based on the folder you want. For example:

    /sdcard/FxDown

    (D) then click on create (if you are too slow, it can erase and you will have to start)

If you go back to your other tab and download something, it should go to the new folder.

    A little luck?

  • How do I accept cookies AND remember the history of downloads?

I would like to configure Firefox to enable cookies and remember the download history. If I set to use custom settings, history to remember the checkboxes are grayed out.

If I uncheck the mode always use Private Browsing, history to remember the check boxes are selected.

I get a cookie error (bad taste cookie) when "remember them history" is selected in the drop-down list when I sign in on the Google account.

If I choose the custom navigation options, there is no opportunity to choose "Always" and "remember history". I can log in to the Google account, but Firefox doesn't remember the links I clicked on that.

Why can't have my cookies and remember the story too?
    I use Firefox on Windows 7, 64-bit platform 31.0.

About cookies, because Google uses several servers (www.google.com, accounts.google.com, etc.), you must enable third party cookies in the Options for cookies to work correctly on Google.

In case your current cookies are mixed, it can help to make them disappear.

While displaying a page on Google (connected or not), try either:

    • Right click and select View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies".
    • (menu bar tools > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies")

In the dialog box that opens, you can remove your Google cookies individually.

Then try to reload the page. Who help me?

  • Impossible to find PowerCLI 5.5 release 1 download location

    Hi all

I was wondering if someone can tell me PowerCLI 5.5 release 1 installation file. I need to install on Windows 2012 PowerCLI and as far as I know, this is the only version that supports Windows 2012. Unfortunately I can not find the download location for this tool, only the documentation for it. Any help would be appreciated.

    Best regards

    Hello LucD,

Thanks for your suggestion, I tried to install PowerCLI on different station and it worked, which confirmed that I have a problem with this particular system instead of the version of it.

I was also able to successfully install PowerCLI 5.5 on designated server (it was important for me because it is the only physical server in the environment and I need virtual shutdown in case of power failure).

The solution was easy, so I thought: I had to install all the updates from Windows Update since December of 2013 (that was the last time updates have been installed), after that (and the restart of the ofc) PowerCLI 5.5 installation went very well.

Thanks for your help and your time - I really appreciate your efforts.

    Best regards
