stop windows media player, hogging resources so on my network, it happened gradually 25% and more cpu whenever I turn on my computer

My victory/med/pl holds 25% and more on my network exe I have suspended it Task Manager, so to work on what the * is past I win 7 and just before it, I downloaded visual basic 2008 express, I really am a novice and I wonder if there is anything I can do to be sure I don't make any stupid mistakes that don't mess my computer , because it is already running a fraction of how it is used to do before you download vb express.

Hello

1. do you get an error message?
2. don't you make changes to the computer before the show?

Method 1
I suggest you run convenience store of settings for Windows Media Player and see if that helps.

Method 2
I suggest you perform the clean boot and check if the problem persists.
