Storage of 10 blackBerry Contacts and card holder

I hope someone can offer a definitive answer to the question of whether or not you can save/store your contacts on a memory card?

If you can not, what is the reasoning as to why not?

Is there a maximum number of contacts you can have or can be stored?

Hello

Well, it depends on your definition of the words 'save' or 'store '.

In native mode, for use in the Contacts application, the answer is certainly not... these data must reside in the heavily protected area of AppMemory and nowhere else. Otherwise, the overall safety of the aircraft would be compromised (that is the "reasoning").

However, if you just want to backup your data, then there is 3rd party applications (ultimate backup) that can do that to a media card.

With respect to rates, I don't know that such a value is... AppMemory contains data from multiple sources, and I believe that it is the total AppMemory, which is the limit. Therefore, there is no maximum for any one application, but rather the overall maximum of data from each of them.

Hope that helps. Good luck!

I have 2800 contacts in my new storm.  To call it by its name, I should be able to go to my phone, dial pad and start typing the name of family - say 72782 for PASTA and one by one the phone to refine my choices until I can see and that you can click on the right one.  But no, the storm requires a user go to Contacts and then click on a line of tiny human finger cannot possible just touch the first time and then start letters in horizontal mode, because God forbid, you should try the method of double letters vertically.  Forget it!  In many other aspects, it is a good phone and the brightness of the screen and the size is wonderful for internet and electronic mail.  But without an easy way to access my contacts, this phone will come back tomorrow.  BlackBerry, wake up!

A dial contacts hands is easy.  Theres a shortcut.

If you press the Send button storm Green will go to dial (as the installer of the factory) pad.

If you press and hold the Green send button, storm will got to the contact page.  Then take your finger and the sweep of the screen from the bottom to the top and the keyboard will go up.  Then just type the name you want and contact will go up.

Actually using this technique is very nice and can be done with strikes a minimum!

  • Used to synchronize synchronize my Blackberry Curve 8330 Smartphones blackBerry with Outlook and Yahoo contacts and calendars.

Used to synchronize my Blackberry Curve 8330 to sync with my Outlook & Yahoo contacts and calendars.  There is no error message, it just don't do.  Any suggestions?

You can upgrade to 4.7 WITHOUT Media Manager.  Some people have problems with the MM.  It's also a great Setup and it is easier to use the drag-and - drop in windows Explorer with the lit on your BB mass storage mode.

Personally, I use DTM 4.6 without MM and have no problem.

  • orange sim and sd card holder

My cliq keyboard stopped working so I got my replacement when I had the first thing, I noticed that the sim and sd card holder was orange and that the phone felt much more robust and the sliding keyboard is much smoother, the phone works fine now, but I was wondering if the thing is changed on this model and it comes into conflict with the Flash update

You have received the new version of the phone that's all. If anything its better than the older and it will affect the upgrade. The reason why they changed the color was to make it more visible to people. They could have done more with it, but I have not heard of something else being changed. You call most likely came with 1.4.8 Blur version too.

  • Unable to connect to my Blackberry smartphone to sync my contacts and calendar

Original title; Unable to connect to my Blackberry smartphone

Since the last Windows Update August 17, I can no longer connect my computer to my phone smart blackberry to sync my contacts and calendar

Thanks for your help. I decided to check with my Blackberry service provider, and they were able to fix the problem by simply removing and then reinsert the cell phone battery while it was connected to my computer. The old trick 'the battery '. Never thought of that.

  • BlackBerry classic to synchronize Contacts and calendar on 3 devices (BlackBerry Classic, PRO Surface and a laptop)

    Hello

I have a classic BlackBerry. I try to sync my contacts and Calendar Details on 3 devices, my BB, Surface PRO and my laptop using the Link BlackBerry software. I use Microsoft Outlook on my laptop and the Surface where I synchronize from. When I connect my BB to my laptop, can I synchronize all the contacts created on my BB for the laptop and the contacts created on the laptop for my BB, even with the calendar, calendar events created on the BB will be synchronized on the laptop and vice versa. When I connect my BB to my Surface, I can do the same thing there, sync contacts & calendar events created on the SURFACE Pro for the BB and vice versa.

What I'm looking for, it's that all contacts & calendar events created on my Pro SURFACE which have been synchronized on my BB must also be synchronized on my laptop when I connect my BB to my laptop and vice versa, as any event or the contacts created on my laptop that have been synchronized on my BB must then be synchronized on the Surface PRO Microsoft Outlook. So I try to reach that 3 of all devices must have the same calendar and contacts whenever I connect my BB device (Surface & laptop) to synchronize with the BB link.

I would appreciate a response from anyone.

    Thank you

Hello and welcome to the community!

Rather than captive link, I recommend you go to OTA sync... see:

Using this method, I have my email, calendar and contacts sync all 3 SmartPhones BB, 1 BB PlayBook, 1 Windows/Outlook2013 system, and a MAC (although, by introducing the MAC and it's limits, I had to implement a hybrid solution... email from HotMail, but the calendar/contacts via Google). I don't know any way to do what you want to link (and it would be more instant OTA anyway and let it do everything remotely rather than purely local).

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry software melt sync Outlook 2013 Contacts and calendar (installed version)?

With Outlook 2013 (64 bit in any case) Blackberry supports more synchronization with link (apparently and other posts).

I'll buy a passport, if the synchrnoization was incorporated with mixture but not otherwise.

I'm ONLY interested in Contacts and calendar.  I'm a consultant independent and my clients communicate appointments for meetings with Outlook on my PC. I have to be able to synchrnize those with my Smartphone.  I am told, but I have not confirmed that it is possible with a Windows phone.

    Hi @jgrobertson,

@John_Clark is correct, that mixture of BlackBerry allows you to view the data stored on the device using your computer or tablet. It does not support synchronization of data contacts and calendar data. For syncornize these data, you will need to use BlackBerry link for Windows that supports Outlook 2013 64 bit (source).

If you run into issues the first thing I would recommend to ensure that you use the most up to the BlackBerry link version. As long as you are, and a problem occurs always pop by the BlackBerry link discussion Forum and publish a detailed summary of the issue, then you meet the community can help out you! Thank you

  • BlackBerry 10 Z10 does not synchronize contacts and calendar - Google Apps and Gmail

    Dear Sirs,

I am train back to use blackberry as my mobile platform by default and so I chose Z10.

The point is that I am facing problems to sync my contacts and calendar with my Gmail and Google Apps accounts. I already tried to add accounts in several ways (by default, Gmail, Microsoft Exchange Active Sync), but without success. Just email is syncing with the failure of Gmail.

    System was updated to 10.2.1

I am a blackberry lover and was trying to leave the Android platform. Please could someone help me?

    Thank you and best regards!

Your result from step 1 is exactly as planned... the built-in Wizard GMail via IMAP, which is used for email only. To add the calendar or contacts to an IMAP configuration, you must separately configure CalDav or Mac OS x Server.

Your result, however, in step 2 should not... it is indeed the exact method to integrate a Google Apps account with BB10 device, as long as you continued this process and fill in all the mandatory fields (server name, port, account information, etc.). Carefully note please that unless you are a subscriber to pay Google Apps, this method will not work for you unless you have previously configured it on the exact device on that you are trying to configure. Google has stopped support for free consumer EAS accounts some time previously and only allows such accounts for free on devices that have been previously configured before when they stopped this support. For any new device, only real paying subscribers of Google Apps can use EAS with Google... all others are limited (by Google) to IMAP/Mac OS x Server/CalDav.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones saved "BOLD" with Blackberry Protect but broken phone, can I restore contacts and calendar on a 9300?

Hello everyone. I got a 9900 who went for a swim to China, and after having tried to save it with a bag of rice, I have determined that it is fried. I backed up my contacts and calendar with Blackberry Protect before that happened. I am able to get a 9300, but I'll be able to restore my contacts and calendar on it or do I need to get another 9900?

    Hello

No you don't need the same phone.
You can select while restoring with protect which phone you want to use the backup.

  • Smartphones blackBerry Contacts, Emails, and text has DISAPPEARED!

I have a BB Bold 9900 and went to use a flashlight app already installed on the phone.  The phone closed and restarted.   When it started back I lost everything?  Don't know why or how.  What I'm concerneced everything becomes everything back.   I was able to recover images lost with a data recovery program.  That being said I'm sure I can do the same for the other missing information, contacts and emails etc...   What I can not find and have looked everywhere on the support forums is what is the name of the contacts folder and where he might be going through windows Explorer.   No, I was not smart enough to make a backup of the phone before it went then restore on a precedent to back up is completely out of the question.   Thanks in advance for any direction or help with my problem.

Hello and welcome to the community!

There is no 'file' to recover contacts, or calendar, messages, or any other protected databases:

    • KB03974 List of database for the blackBerry smartphone

All those who were in the protect the area of AppMemory, which is not accessible by other than the BB OS itself (more the various facilities of backup available). Therefore, for contacts, unless you have a source non - BB data to restore, you have lost the.

For future reference, here is a discussion about backups:

Good luck... but I'm sorry for your loss.

  • MSN blackBerry Smartphones and related BB contacts

OK so I got my new phone yaaaaa... a VERY annoying problem.

It is for a reason any automatically linking my msn contacts to my Blackberry Contacts. I deleted MSN on my phone, but they remain linked in some way. I found this out by deleted contacts automatically downloaded on my phone (through my msn, apparently) and they got deleted and blocked in MSN.

How can I loosen them? I really don't want to have a few hundreds of contacts on my phone as most of the people I don't know on a regular basis and it is only through facebook, msn or email.

I'm on the Bell network. Love the torch... have not found that I have only one problem with it, but apart from that... but this problem is making me want to throw it across the room!

OK so I thought I'd give it... Finally.

    Go to Contacts

Press the BB button and select Options

Under contact lists should be your email address, click it.

    Turn off wireless sync

    Hope this helps someone else

  • BlackBerry smartphones, I want just that my BlackBerry to crush all contacts and events calendar

Curiously, before 10.6.1 PocketMac works beautifully: my BlackBerry is my gospel for all contacts, and all events.  I would regularly synchronize it with my G4 to keep my MAC and then update to sync my iPhone with my Mac.  Certainly not the most elegant of the methods, but it worked perfectly for me.

Now then - is anyway to put the new software RIM of simply replacing the MAC (iCal and address book) with data already on the BlackBerry?  I don't want a two-way synchronization: I don't want to "Replace all the contacts on this smart phone BlackBerry."  What I want is the antithesis of this command.

The calendar option seems to be able to do, but not the Contacts?

Any help or idea would be greatly appreciated.

    Theo

    Studio City, CA

Hmmm... well - I myself have solved sort (but only for the calendar) and I have to keep on my toes on where I get stuff.

I created a NEW calendar in iCal (empty of course) and said RIM software to sync ONLY to this calendar and everything went very well. Then I resynched my iPhone and iTunes says to only use the NEW calendar that now appears on the list of calendars.  I also changed the settings on the iPhone to make the new test calendar default view now.

But since this is a two-way synchronization I always update the BlackBerry and never update the iCal calendar to keep both abreast (and keep the BB as the main source and do not have the mini infiltrate MAC the BB data).

As my calendar dates are much more dynamic it works fine.  I'm always suspicious to do it for the address book and because changes to these entries are not too frequent I will put those manually (once, certainly NOT what I wanted to do, but it will suffice for now).

  • Phone numbers of the Contacts Q10 blackBerry lost and mixed.

Today, I discovered my Q10 (recently updated OS) had "lost" my daughters phone number in my contacts and had put his number under MY name. We do not have the same name or last name that she is married. When I try to re enter my phone number, it will take it and watch an X. There is his email, BBM, Facebook and also an X across his photo. What is going on? I see other people have trouble with contacts to lose but lose the phone numbers and phone numbers of transferrring? There may be other contact that are messed up a well but I did find others still. How can I get my daughters phone number in my contacts?

I have not found one. Ultimately I entered my name of girls as a new contact and misspelled his last name so now that she has two entries in my contacts.
