Strange behavior of automatic update

I have a problem where the Automatic Update icon was alert me to the updates and then disappear when I click it.  Sometimes he recommends updates that I've already installed (audited go manually update the site and looking through the log of update.)   If someone chose to usurp your automatic updates?

Hi RN1234,

Method 1

See the link below and try the steps mentioned and check if it works.

  • Strange behavior of automatic scrolling in timeline

    Hi all

I searched the forum but couldn't find a thread on this topic... I have a strange bug/feature that is quite irritating. A few minutes after I start the first one, the timeline will start to scroll every time I have to abandon my mouse cursor to the center of the screen. You can see what is happening on the link below:

    Private video on Vimeo

    the password is: auto-scroll

To be clear: this does not happen when I first start the first. It is generally 5 to 10 minutes in a session, and then I have to exit and restart the program to get a few minutes of peace. Did I put accidentally turned on, can I disable? It's really annoying to have the scroll of the timeline to follow my cursor, when I go to my effects or media browser.

  • Strange behavior of Windows Update

Windows Update prompted me 4 updates of today, marked 'important', so I gave the OK to install.

Then she appeared a EULA I had clicks before it would install them. I've NEVER been asked to accept a EULA for Windows Update before, so I'm not sure that its 100% authentic.

The "update" which seems to be spawning EULA is "Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool x 64-January 2016 (KB890830)"-If someone can confirm if it is a real update?

I had Malicious Software Removal Tool in updates before, and none of them have EVER prompted me to click an EULA. It's what makes me so suspicious of it.

    Thank you

    Allan

Malware removal tool is safe to download the KB number is correct.

He might invited you for EULA for a new year or they may have changed some things in this. However, in windows 10 I was not asked.

  • Management of the automatic updates for Flash Player 11

    Hello

I know that the latest version 10 the mms.cfg file is always valid option to customize the behavior of automatic updates (even if the new applet of the control panel dedicated option is not grayed out, day is blocked anyway, I read).

Is it the same with version 11? I just installed it with the same file mms.cfg that I used for 10 and still the Panel applet is not grey...

    Thank you

    Hi all

This problem has been fixed in version 11.1.102.55.

The section "Updates" of Control Panel, the Advanced tab, will be disabled (grayed out) when 'AutoUpdateDisable = 1' (without the quotes) is present in the mms.cfg file.

If you have a 32 bit OS, save the mms.cfg file in \Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash

If you have a 64-bit OS, save the mms.cfg file in \Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash

  • Strange behavior of audio subsystem after update Dev Alpha 10 to 10.0.9.388

    Hello world!

Has anyone noticed a strange behavior of the behavior of 10.0.9.388 audio subsystem firmware. Recently, after firmware update Dev Alpha 10 to 10.0.9.388 subsystem audio misbehavies in the following way:

    (1) if the external headphones/speakers connected to the audio line-out looks to be preprocessed by low-pass filter and surround effect. The device reported by AudioManager is/dev/snd/pcmPrefferedp. Would it be a bug in formware and re-routing audio internal speaker to the line-out socket did not exclude specific pre-treatment?

    (2) on the previous firmwares if audio goes out of the internal speaker and then the helmet is connected to Jack line out change of itinerary was seemlesly happening and he kept playing with headphones without additional measures in the application. Now, peripheral audio is not consume audio samples and so crashes until it is closed and reopened.

On the previous firmwares were not all the problems of this kind. Would be - what a few unlucky flashing firmware try (if it is still possible) or bug of 10.0.9.388.

It will be good to hear comments & thoughts about these questions.

  • Strange behavior of HTML/Blast - ideas?

I have a strange problem with a Horizon view 6 implementation. I have a pool of office automated using linked clones and dedicated user assignment. The problem is that none of my users can connect to these desktops via HTML/Blast UNLESS the Bureau has already accessed via the customer view and PCoIP. As soon as I connected to one of the desktop computers in the pool through the Client view, disconnect and then try to connect via HTML/Blast, everything works perfectly!

The events I see when a user who has never connected to the pool first of all through the view Client tries to connect via HTML/Blast, in that order, are the following:

23:32:29 (agent) agent that runs on the DESKTOP computer has agreed a session allocated for user domain\username

23:32:29 (connect to server) user domain\user requested windows7_pool pool

23:32:29 (connect to server) user domain\user asked windows7_pool pool, allocated matchine DESKTOP

23:33:54 (connect to server) User DOMAIN\username logged off

No error or anything - looks perfect except the Quick disconnect (who did not perform).

Client side, the screen looks just like it would if the Office was about to appear, but then after about 1.5 minutes, goes to a white screen with the following error:

    Year error has occurred: {"code": "ETIMEDOUT", "errno": "ETIMEDOUT', 'syscall': 'connect'}

This behavior occurs if the inside the firewall and outside the firewall. And when the same user logs in via PCoIP using the customer to see once, HTML/Blast links start working later and never fail again. I ' sure Machines are always powered on "defined on the pool, and connections through PCoIP arrive quickly. I can't seem to find a value for a threshold low timeout anywhere, but I'm new to this configuration.

Any ideas what could cause this type of behavior?

    I got this job.

Given that the only common denominator to the question seemed to be the image of the desktop, I started there.

I created a new snapshot after making the following: removal of the view Agent and Direct Connect software, then turn off the Windows Firewall and reinstall both. I also chose to not NOT the Windows Firewall is automatically updated by the Direct Connect installation software on reinstall it. Installation initial (partially work), I followed the recommended practice to have the firewall and allowing the installer to modify the Firewall automatically.

Once I had the snapshot of the office now with no Windows Firewall, I recomposed the pool and all HTML/Blast following connections to this pool has worked flawlessly every time.

  • What Windows settings or services likely to affect Firefox automatic update?

Automatic update works do not is a common problem but in my case, the culprit is probably not on the side of Firefox Firefox. I suspect this due to the fact that I can't upgrade almost any of my programs installed if they were launched during a session before the session is disconnected.

The thing is I disabled a number of Windows services and I see this behavior for probably as long as I use this configuration optimized. Here is a list of my services system as well as their boot options and the State.

  • Firefox crashes (and other strange behaviors) due to gifs

From a recent update Firefox displayed a strange behavior that surrounds the gifs. Sometimes, after viewing pages with a large number of gifs or several very large gifs, Firefox will do things like not animate gifs, or even do not load the images at all, an and will not stop until I have restart Firefox. What's more concerning is that sometimes in these situations, Firefox will simply hang and stop responding, forcing me to kill the process.
This page shows the behavior of hanging fairly regularly: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1021843 & page = 21
It seems more likely to happen when I scroll the page quickly. The behavior persists when I restart Firefox mode without failure.

    2. battery showed 80% and I played InRadio Tune for abt 2 hrs. Closed the app and I saw the State of the battery at 50%. After about 15 minutes when I looked at my phone it showed 30%.

3 battery on Charge to 90%, played ninja fruit for 10 minutes and average game he hanged. No response. I have to remove the battery to restart. Restarted and it showed 20%

  • Last automatic update windows tried to kill my computer...

The only thing installed yesterday was an update automatic windows vista. I turned off my laptop, and when I got home I tried to start it up. Windows wouldn't start in normal mode, so I booted in safe mode, scanned with my antivirus, antimalware... etc... and found nothing. So, I used the system recovery and put the laptop on the eve of thinking maybe something strange was snuck in. It worked fine, so I thought it was good. I created a new poin of recovery, re-installed upgrading windows and close.
He walks this morning to find that he had the same problem. I started back in safe mode, reused the system recovery and used the recovery point that I had put just before I downloaded the updates of windows and now everything works fine. I have disabled the automatic updates and I have not had problems since.
Does anyone know why the Windows Update tries to kill my computer? The Auto-mises to day running all the time and I've never had this problem before.

Any help or advice is appreciated. Thank you.

    Merydeth,
If you are still having this problem and have not updated your system then here are a few things to try.  First of all, make sure that your system is free from any infection malware\virus.  If you do not have an up-to-date antivirus program and then take a look at this article: get rid of the malware , it has lots of good info on the programs to try.  Then, you go through Windows Update and install updates one at a time to determine that perhaps there was a problem.  Post back with the update and we can discuss more later.

  • Disable automatic (countdown) closed after automatic update.

I run my computer 24/7 and keep programs I need to run all the time. I have automatic updates turned on and off because after the update, it restarts the computer and I lost all the information that I have been woking on. It is extremely irritating and the last time it was the case that I had not saved the data I was working for school and I lost everything. Hours and hours of hard work was gone.

First of all, I would like to know why Microsoft would think that is a sensable solution just disable someones computer and second, I want to know how to solve this problem. I can't support any option option which will allow updates to download and install, but ask me when it's convenient for me to turn it back on.

    Thank you
    Nate Nate

    Hi Nate2551,

Sometimes, Windows Update may run in an instance where the file that Windows is trying to update is locked or in use. When this happens, Windows cannot apply the update until it can access these files. So that you can benefit from the update, Windows will ask you to restart your PC to continue the installation of the updates. Windows Update will remind you if you have to restart your PC to continue the installation of an update and you give the option to "reboot now" or will give you the option to postpone the restart. If you are away from your PC for a long period of time, you can see that it automatically restarts your PC. Windows does to make sure all the latest security and other updates are applied in a timely, to help keep your PC safer with little effort for you.
If you are a system administrator and you want to restart behavior control, you can use Group Policy to prevent reboots automatic situation every time the administrator is connected.

Access the link below and follow the steps carefully in the article below to configure automatic updates by using Group Policy or of registry settings.

  • Automatic update of Vista enough work

Automatic update Vista stop working, I can not even updates to download manually on the site to update, because the update of the window hangs.  I've been across the different boards, groups etc. looking for an answer.  Here's the problem:

    When the problem was detected:

I was performing a Windows Update on July 28, 2009, the update process appears to hang when - at this time there, I finished the process via Task Manager (which says that the Windows Update did not) - since that this led to the problem with the update of Windows process still suspended.

    The system configuration:

    (1) HP Pavilion dv7 laptop
    (2) Intel Core 2 DUO P7350 CPU @ 2 GHz
    (3) 64-bit operating system running Service Pack 2 (4 GB Ram)
    (4) Vista Home Premium

Behavior (I start the Windows Update process - the following happens each time):

    * The Windows Update process launches a blank page of IE with a crumb of bread from "Control Panel > Windows Update.
    * The wheel keeps spinning and over time, I'll "end task the" via Task Manager which translates into the following:
-A dialog box opens saying "program does not.
-When I FINISH the task another dialogue box opens saying "Windows Explorer is not responding" However windows Explorer will be finally complete and restart itself.

Here are 3 of many Solutions of attempts:

    (1) msconfig to disable services Start Up items & disable (has not fixed the problem)
    (2) new installation Usr & run Windows Update (did not fix the problem)
    3) CMD - net stop wuauclt & bits (what was interesting because the system could not find wuauclt but he found pieces)

I hope you can help as I am running out of ideas.

    See you soon,.

    Hello

Thanks for posting on Microsoft Answers.

Looks like there is a problem with the componetns of Windows Update.

Try to perform the SFC scan
    1. click on the Start button
    2. on the Start Menu, click all programs followed by accessories
    3. in the menu accessories, right-click on command line option
    4. in the drop-down menu that appears, click the "Run as Administrator" option
    5. If you have the enabled User Account Control (UAC) you will be asked for leave before the opening of the command line. You simply press the button continue if you are the administrator or insert password etc.
    6. in the command prompt window, type: sfc/scannow then press enter
    7. a message is displayed to indicate that "the analysis of the system will start.
    8. be patient because the analysis may take some time
    9. If all the files need replace SFC will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Vista DVD for this process to continue
    10. If all goes although you should, after the analysis, see the following message "Windows resource protection not found any breach of integrity.
11 after the scan finished, close the command prompt window reboot the computer and check.
Also you can try to run the system tool for Windows Vista update: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821

  • Issues coming out of "sleep mode" and strange behavior when restarting with GPU

I use a desktop computer HP P7-1240 completely stock except for a GPU EVGA GeForce GTX 750 TI SC. The GPU works well when the computer is running (which is strange because the forums have several other discussions mentioning the 700 series must be incompatible with my BIOS).

However, there are two main strange problems that have arisen since the installation of the GPU. One is that, every time that the computer enters mode "sleep", he refuses to wake back up correctly. It seems to me that the computer active but sends all the signals back panel (at the very least, no video because my monitors remain blank). On rare occasions, he wakes back correctly, but at least 90% of the time, it must be restarted. Upon reboot, the same problem sometimes (not), and the computer must be rebooted a second time until it will start again.

This leads to the second problem. During startup, the computer goes to a black screen, listing the specifications of basic computer skills (see attached photo. In this screen, the computer does not meet any entry.  He proceeds to beep 3 times, all the same length and height spaced about 30 seconds of gap. After the third beep, the screen goes black and then the computer starts normally with no other strange behavior.

Without the GPU, none of these problems occur. At the very least, not regularly.

I saw another thread mentioned that, while the HP support for my office page lists not her, there is an update of the BIOS for my motherboard which has fixed issues related to the GPU more modern. By nature it is an update of the BIOS that does not (seem to) officially support Windows 7, I am reluctant to go forward with this potential solution.

Although I intend to build myself a new computer from scratch at a certain point, I was hoping to get at least another year out of this machine, if not 2.  While this question does not seem to be immediately threatening the stability of the computer, I can't help but think that it is a question should I go quickly to avoid future problems (not to mention it would save me a good amount of electricity to be able to enter the mode 'sleep' on a regular basis).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Problem has been solved!

For those of you who have trouble sleeping with the p7-1240 or computers with a card mother identical (MSI Jasmine Ms 7778 ver 1.0), I suggest that you follow this thread:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/desktop-hardware/unable-to-boot-with-new-graphics-card/TD-p/3930544/highlight/true

It is to use an update for your BIOS that is intended only for PC under Windows 8, but that seems to work perfectly well with Windows 7 PC. It solved my problems of sleep and makes the computer to behave at least semi normally while restarting.

However, as indicated in the wire, an update of the BIOS should be a last resort because it can turn your machine into a very heavy and expensive paperweight if something does not work. Do not forget that you have the worm 1.0 card mother MSI Ms 7778 Jasmine and remember that you update the BIOS version 8.18.

As I am looking for 2aeo on HP.com currently (according to the thread leading up to), I'm not find the same links I found last week when I went through the update. However, you can find elsewhere.
