Strange VM behavior high % USED, high IDLE, absolutely zero activity on vm

After upgrade from 5.0 to 5.5, I see a strange behavior.  These VMS bit also clinging to 65% when using vMotion.  All are really important to the processor used and slowed DOWN.

If I connect to the BONE, no activity of the guest.  I mean 0.0%us.  Proxies are CentOS 5.2 Linux, Jasper is Windows.  Jasper has default windows running processes and is completely idle.

I have another host with a few VM more behave in the same way.  The rest of the virtual machines on the host computers behave very well.

The virtual Windows machine has two vCPUs and uses the multiprocessor HAL.

Two proxies Linux are single vCPU, expect that two vCPU to see if it makes any difference, I've changed.  No difference.

Any thoughts?

Root cause found to be entered in the VMX files for these machines that vSphere 5.5 did not like.

I believe that the model that was used to create these handful of machines started life as a VM Lab Manager long ago.

As such, he had a lot of options additional vmx than a typical virtual machine, some of which were settings of mks.

vSphere 5.0 does not seem to mind, but 5.5 has problems with them.

Remove these seemed to solve the problem.

  • Z220: The CPU utilization high idling: how to troubleshoot?

My new Z220 with i5-3470 CPU, 16 GB RAM, Win 7 Pro 64-bit, shows a very high utilization of the processor idling: 35 to 39%, on average. I looked at the Win 7 performance monitor and there it shows system interrupts, in slow motion, a lot of 20-25% the use of the CPU, the system consumes 10 to 15%.

A quick glance at a similar setup Z210 idling watch zero % CPU for the two system using interrupts and system.

The Windows performance tool is not one I have a lot of experience with usage, but a few reports I generated show nothing obvious, at least not for me.

Does anyone have advice about how to fix this?

    TIA!

After a really long survey on Windows 7 drivers and others, HP advanced support Tech became convinced (as I pretty much was all the long...) that there actually is a hardware in-game problem: motherboard or the CPU. First level never support could go to the beyond notice of driver/Win 7 / background process 'normal', which I became finally found was not the case.

The excellent technician sent by HP thought the CPU was a good place to start: it replaces, and as soon as voltage, all high utilization of the processor issues disappeared! I've been running the system for some hours, after reinstalling my extra system memory and card over-pants V4900 and the CPU is idle to 0-1 percent, with System Idle Process typically in 98-99 percent. Idling system interruptions now consume less than 1% of the CPU usage. Why this processor (i5-3470) spent all of diagnostics from Intel without a blip is a mystery to me.

Thus, solved! And congratulations for the HP business support!

My question is does AM gets passivees on each request. This snapshot is not visible when the Transaction behavior is set to "No controller Transaction."
This type is instant is usually visible in the case of 'No Transaction controller', when AM pooling is turned off or if'M bundling is enabled then is supported for failover.
Is this OK for this snapshot to appear in the journal JDev or am I missing something?

This might be useful, can u chk

Summary of the problem: I have a table in the user interface based on a line of open readonly SQL base tickets showing VO. The queue will be worked by several people of support at the same time. So, it is ideal that the queue Auto - refreshes to collect a ticket from the table in the user interface if someone else picked up the ticket & closed. The UI is equipped with filters - so think the option is to push to an activeOutputText and then refresh the table UI using PPR.

Ofcourse Poll is an option - but am inclined to PUSH as it seems most optimal.

But the documentation around the use of live data for ADFBC is very confusing. Most of the examples out there talking about external data sources or a direct change in DB as an event in a first time - not a change of entity as an event trigger object. I have a few queries-

    1. is JMS the only way by which the changes of the entity object can be listened to or is there any other mechanism?

    2. on the binding of the tree on the definition of the page, we see ChangeEventPolicy with an option like "push." When is it useful?

    3. any good example of simple use ADFBC with live data?

    4. is my hypothesis on the af: poll be bad valid? Leave the configured push with "long-polling" is much better than a 'af:poll '.

    Thanks in advance!

    1. is JMS the only way by which the changes of the entity object can be listened to or is there any other mechanism?

I guess you can use any type of mechanism to queue, JMS is 'natural' because that is part of Java EE (so it is included in the Java EE as Weblogic servers)

    2. on the binding of the tree on the definition of the page, we see ChangeEventPolicy with an option like "push." When is it useful?

It is used in combination with the active data

    3. any good example of simple use ADFBC with live data?

    http://technology.AMIS.nl/2012/06/19/notifying-ADF-applications-of-database-changes-fast-and-lean-using-Active-data-service-for-server-to-client-push-part-two/

    4. is my hypothesis on the af: poll be bad valid? Leave the configured push with "long-polling" is much better than a 'af:poll '.

Well, that depends on the number of users, refresh rate...

But for your use case, push is probably much better than af: poll

Have you thought about putting your VO readonly to the module of the shared application (to the level of the application): Sharing of Instances of the Application Module View (this was also supported for notifications of changes unnecessary db)?

Have already tried to contact Adobe and they told me to reinstall the program. I did this and the same issue. It's crazy. I can not turn off something that I did not more...

    Thank you.

No - I had, of course, tried all these things. Finally, I had someone (after several days) on the personal chat group that could fix and it did it in a few minutes. Too bad that nobody else seemed to be able to do. Adobe is very soft.

I can't thank enough the other person - it was amazing.

  • How to get the name of the package to a procedure used in a workflow process activity

Hi all. I'm on OWB 11.2.0.2.0.

When I used a function or a procedure that is packed for a mapping operator, I can find the name of package.program_unit by getting FUNCTION_NAME property of the operator. For example,.
OMBRETRIEVE MAPPING "$mapName" OPERATOR "$operName" GET PROPERTIES (FUNCTION_NAME)

But when even is used in a workflow process activity, I can't find a property name that will give me the same information. I can get the BOUND_NAME, it don't tell me the name of the package. It must be stored in the properties of the activity because when you pull up to synchronize for the activity dialog box, he knows the name of package.

Is it possible to get this via an OMBRETRIEVE?

    Thank you.

    Try this:
    OMBRETRIEVE PROCESS_FLOW 'PF_NAME' ACTIVITY 'PROCEDURE_NAME' GET REF
It gives you the full path to the process/PROJECT/MODULE/PACKAGE. PROCEDURE

  • ThinkPad X 1 support high idle CPU?

I want to get for this announcement not as soon as I noticed, but hey, nothing to do about it now.

A few months ago and after some update, do not know who (perhaps update Thinkvantage tools? Or graphics drivers, I think are the only things I have updated at this time), my Thinkpad X 1 (end of 2011 model, 2640 M i7 @ 2.8, 8 GB of RAM) started off really hard the main fan when the machine is idling, which makes no sense.

I run Win 7 64 bit Pro. I set the screen saver to all 'white' and the system of locking when activating, and after a few minutes, she put to turn off the screen too.

After a few minutes the screen being turned off, the fan will start and go to max, real fort. I take the computer from this State, connection and unlock, and after a few seconds in the office environment, the fan turns off. If as soon as I unlock I check the Task Manager, the only process that consumes the CPU is the system idle process, as appropriate.

What exactly was going on here? Can all this last one I've updated something in the background while you hcomputer is idling? It's really bad, because if I let the machine runs empty, I don't want to go off like crazy. It is not just the fan that fires, the machine collects temperature, I can feel it when I touch the f in the left part of the keyboard. If the processor is busy doing SOMETHING, but what?

    Any help apreciated!

I still I have this problem and found this thread:
    http://forums.Lenovo.com/T5/X-series-ThinkPad-Laptops/high-CPU-when-idle-monitor-blank-on-X1/m-p/710...

I will try the solution in the last post and see what happens!

  • Strange behavior when using groupspec in netstreams.

I started using the groupSpecifier to connect two players in a game I'm developing. Before, I was using a server to swap their farID, now I use the groupSpec netGroup, and it works well... but I got this weird problem:

The first seconds of 2 to 8 netStream.sends command, I got like 2 seconds delay, after that, communication is almost instantaneous.

Don't know why this is happening, but I don't want to fully implement netGroup if I'm having this kind weird behaviors...

All do not know why this might be happening?, when I used NetStream.DIRECT_CONNECTIONS it didn't happen.

    Thank you.

Update: looks like it's not about how long I have to wait for it to start working properly, it's how sends commands I do (between 0 and 10, seems completely random).

the delay you see is the delay "pull" mode, while the Group relies (trivial) latency minimum spanning tree for the multicast stream ' push' mode.  probes need push mode any quantity rate data as well as the time to move from the probes to be judged.

For more information on what is happening, look at

    http://TV.Adobe.com/watch/Max-2009-develop/P2P-on-the-Flash-platform-with-RTMFP/

multicast starts at nearly 36: 25, but I recommend watching all this.

If your groups are going to be quite small (not more than about 10-14 members) and you send data, you will find netGroup.sendToAllNeighbors () will always be a low latency, but the sender will send data to all peers (other peers don't help each other) and it will not get to everyone once the group becomes greater than 14 members.  For more information about this, which

  • Strange behavior when using Labview to collect data from Tektronix oscilloscope tds8200

I hit a wall in trying to understand this one. The problem I have is that my application will not start the oscilloscope when it should.

I use an oscilloscope Tektronix TDS8200. My goal is to collect data from the oscilloscope using Labview waveform. First of all, my program initializes and configures the oscilloscope; This part of the program works very well.

The second part of the program begins the acquisition of data with the function 'Tktds8k Start or Stop Aquisitions.vi', which is to press the button run on the scope. The function "tktds8k to Waveform.vi" is used and should ideally return data, which I connected to a waveform playback graph.

When I run my program, the first part runs without a problem, but as soon as the program comes to the service get the waveform, the run button in the scope, which is green when running, turns off; the program then expires, and no data is collected.

Here is where it gets weird. I went through the debugging to try to understand this point, and I put breakpoints on the beginning and get shape wave functions so that I could scroll through the last part of the program. The program continues with the departure function, and the button run in scope is green. The breakpoint for the function get the waveform is reached and when I press on continue, turns the Run button and turns it off then back on almost immediately. data are collected, the waveform graph appears and the program ends without error.

I thought that the timetable could be the problem, so I did the program wait as long as five seconds between the functions of start and get the waveform and that did not work. I also tried to move the start function to before the configuration functions and remove start completely; no method worked.

is there any ideas on why, the program works when I enabled breakpoints and isn't when breakpoints are disabled? I'm sure there is an easy solution, but I was not able to find a solution.

I have attached a pdf that contains information about the functions of the Oscilloscope (tktds8k.pdf), and I have also attached my program.

  • Strange behavior when using units and controls the ring

    Hello

Something unexpected occurs when you use a control of the ring with units:

    1. Create the control of the ring,
    2. change the representation of double
    3. display unit label,
    4. the value of mV as a unit,
    5. edit items
      1. disable the sequential values,
      2. Add an element with a value other than zero for example 123,
      3. Ok
    6. Select the value created,
    7. create a KPI DBL with V as unit,
    8. wire from the control to the indicator,
    9. run

What I see in the indicator is 123 V instead of the expected 0,123 V

You guys are able to reproduce this?

Noticed on LabVIEW 2013 and 2014, 32 and 64 bit on Windows 7 and 8.1

    Thank you

    Boris

Bring up the digital display of the command of the ring.  You will see the units you enter under edit items menu is indeed volts.  Any prefix to units only acts on the screen.

  • X220T i7, extremely high idle time?

I've owned this X220T i7 for about 3-4 months now and even from the start he ran hot enough (refused to go below 45 c idle when I was outside in time to 30F), but now the slow times are at a level which the dangerous border!

I am currently at 71 - 75 c idle and all I have on my computer is Firefox and Speccy.

Contact a technician from Lenovo and get him to replace the TIM would allow to significantly? I know, these chips are known to run hot, but it didn't mean that whatever it is was never designed to operate at idle 70 c...

I thoroughly cleaned exhaust on this unit ports (although 3-4 months, he shouldn't have a problem of dust still) and run with the inserted battery + AC power on the 'balanced' parameter, which means that the chip is not overclocking itself at all.

    : edition:

Also, I forgot to mention that it normally rests on my computer desk in solid wood, which is virtually dust-free, and he has plenty of room to vent air.

Send the laptop, your heatpipe maybe a thermal fluid leak.

  • Strange sound onTecra when using wireless

    Dear Sir.
on my tecra M745 connecting to wireless internet (I use the other floor a router) and the connection is excellent 54 Mbps, sometimes a strange noise comes from the laptop, not allways: is there interference with other things (like the dect' phones, cd-drives,...)? I don't know, maybe should ask at the shop where I bought it?
    Thank you

    Hello

It is very difficult to give a precise answer to your question. If there is a strange noise that sometimes comes, it is also possible that it may be the activity of the HARD drive or something like that.

You hear this strange noise on speakers or elsewhere?

  • Incorrect behavior when using the sliders on a signal enlarged

I started recently by using sliders to determine specific values in a recorded signal.

Problem is when I use the Zoom tool (the magnifying glass under the time scale icon inside) to zoom in on a specific peak dysfunction of sliders. When you take a slider handle and drag the intersection of cursor is no longer follows the track of the signal in the graph.

    To recreate:

    • Log data with Signal Express seconds. I always pass the signal by the amplitude and levels step to display the signal as a graphic of the scope.

    • Right-click on the graph and select visible items > sliders to add the sliders to the chart

    • Use the handles to slide to move the cursor cross along the signal.

    • Click the magnifying glass in the time scale, and then select the Zoom (top left of the box that is displayed)

    • Click and drag on the chart to zoom in on a signal peak.

    • Now use the grab handle sliders intersect on the zoomed pic in.

    • Cursors follow the path of the signal.

I'm pretty confident that it's recreateable, because the same behavior exists on both machines in the lab as well as the software in beta 2011 at my office.

    Rory,

Thank you for your patience during the attempt to isolate this problem. I'm glad that you could see up to a kind of stange behavior.

You describe exactly what I see on my end. If you zoom in far enough the sliders 'think' it follows the signal when in fact it's a ghost left by an already enlarged resolution signal.

The solution is to change the graphic for graphic band momentarily while I use the sliders, and then back again to view the actual data.

This isn't really a drawback, but I'm happy that we can document as a bug.

    Thank you!

  • Strange sound behavior... question of Simulator?

I have an app where I replied the cowbell with their C + c++ demo / .pro files (except my context property is "app") and ImageButtons to call sounds so much like the demo of Bell, I have:

                ImageButton {
                        ...
                    onTouch: {
                        if (event.isDown()) {
                            app.playSound("bark1.wav");
                        }
                    }
                }

It will play a sound, but sometimes my file "bark1.wav" sounds deaf/one time sometimes and other times sounds as it should.  Another similar button, I use the "meow.wav" and no sound at all out.  As a last test, I used the "moo.wav" of the demo, and which works better (less muffled survey / playing each time).  So is this my .wav files? (They all work fine on Windows Media Player)  What is the Simulator?  Thoughts?

(all the three .wav files attached)

    -Brian

Same behavior on Simulator and dev alpha.

  • Strange problem Z10 blackBerry using the BBM on WiFi service

    Hi all

I have a strange problem. I have an unlocked Fido Fido phone and I am trying to use it on a different sim card. I am able to connect to internet and BBM surveys with all well data services plan. I call everything works fine.

When I connect it to Wifi I can surf the web everyting except BBM! Without the sim card BBM works very well in wifi. The minute I have not given the SIM no BBM!

    What is going on

    Thanks to all who responded...

This problem is now resolved. For the record it's because of my new carrier does not accept my unlocked phone Bell Inc., did not accept it so I tested with Tellus at the Canada and T-Mobile in the USA it works perfect...

Still don't know what is 3G has to do with Wifi anythong but it was solved by switching to Tellus

    Thanks again
