Stream laptop HP 13: hard reset HDMI.

Hello
I recently broke my screen so I use a screen tv with an HDMI cable. I was doing a PowerPoint presentation and then it froze so I restarted my laptop, but when I went to turn it back on the screen remains empty, but it lights up. I tried the hard reset on the phone, but I do not see it in the HDMI TV screen. And I was wondering if there is a way to get everything back operational again? Thank you.

Hello
Sorry I just sort all thank you.

  • HP Pavilion x 2 Tablet 210: hard reset on my laptop, error and now my phone is in a constant reboot State.

My laptop is running slow so I thought I would do a hard reset because I had not all the important files on this subject. So I reset it and I got a blue screen error, then a screen of the list with a popup box saying there was an error or my computer restarted and I have to press OK to install. I found an online solution to go beyond the popup box, I don't remember what it was, but now my laptop is stuck in a State of constant restarting. It goes like this:
Blue HP logo with loading circle
    Black screen,
    Blue HP logo,
Installing and configuring Windows install screen that didn't move out of 64%.
And then black screen. This process is repeated constantly.
    Help, please.

    Hello @kirsty_mcq17,

Welcome to the HP support community! I understand that your PC Pavilion x 2 is stuck in an endless loop, after trying to reset it.

You can start by trying a full reset on the system and testing of hardware failures.

If the system is still stuck in the loop, you may be able to follow the steps to perform a recovery when 10 Windows does not successfully start.

If you do not have a separate for Windows 10 drive, you can create a Microsoft recovery media and attempt to restore the system or start from that instead of the hard drive.

Please get back to me how that happens. Please click on the Thumbs up below to thank me for my efforts!

    Thank you!

  • How to do a Hard Reset on a HP laptop?

Hard Reset allows you to solve problems of software and hardware

This post looks at HP laptops.

Hello, I will do a quick post on how to do a Hard Reset. A hard or forced Reset clears all the information in the memory of the computer which can restore the functionality. Reset your computer forces the system to erase and restore the software connections between the BIOS and hardware.

Perform a hard or forced reset may fix the following:

    • Windows stops responding
    • Computer stops before Windows loads (no boot, a blinking cursor on a black screen, or errors related to the operating system not found or missing disk)
    • View suddenly turns off and remains empty
    • Software freezes
    • Keyboard unresponsive
    • The computer did not return from standby or sleep mode
    • An external device stops responding (turn off the power to the device in addition to perform the steps in this document)

When you perform a hard reset, you must disconnect or remove all devices. You should start and test the computer itself and then reconnect a device at a time. To solve the high beginning or operational problem, you must run the wizard from the HP Support, or manually install the drivers all updated by Microsoft and HP.

To perform a hard reset, use the following steps:

To perform a hard reset, use the following steps:

    1. Turn off the computer.
    2. Remove the computer from the docking station or port replicator.
    3. Disconnect all external devices connected: displays of devices USB, printers, external storage, etc..
    4. Unplug the laptop AC adapter.
    5. Remove the battery from the compartment to batteries.
    6. Press and hold button power for about 15 seconds, remove any residual electric charge capacitors that protect memory.
    7. Insert the battery and plug the power adapter into the laptop. but do not connect peripheral devices.
    8. Press the power button to turn on the computer.
    9. If a boot menu appears, use the arrow keys to select Start Windows normally , and then press the Enter key.
    10. After you have reconnected each peripheral device, run Windows Update and HP Support Assistant to update all device drivers.

Now, if your computer has a non-removable battery, these steps will not work. Instead, refer to use a Reset forced to solve Hardware and Software questions on laptop with a sealed Non removable b... .

I hope that this solves any problem you can have that happen with your laptop.

  • My laptop does not recognize the HDMI cable

I don't know if I posted this properly, but I would really like for you to tell me a little more about HP pavilion 1 TB of hard drives.

I bought a HP Pavilion processor with ADM 1 to less than a year ago. There was whisky spilled on it a couple of months before the summer, but I managed to get back to work and it was very good and stil in good shape.

A few weeks ago, I dropped the laptop from the desktop and it fell on a carpet. Isn't difficult, but not smoothly either. And it is always on when I got it up and working.

When I stopped it the laptop refused to start. I did a quick diagnosis to check the hard disk and it says already something with red letters.

I took the laptop PCs store and human a glance told me, the hard drive is dead and I need a new one fitted. "Everything is in good condition", he assumed, and I agree with him to change the hard drive.

I told him specifically to replace the hard drive with another 1 TB, but he subsequently advised me with good confidence that I was better with a 320 and buy an external hard drive. The laptop will work very well in terms of speed. He mounted in a 320 HARD drive and gave me back my laptop with Windows 7 ultimate.

Now, the laptop does not connect to HDMI and AMD catalyst is recognized not no matter how many times I install it. And honestly I don't know if the man really had something out of my laptop. The HARD disk he gave in return tells me his Samsung S/N: S34LJ9BG601601648

    ST2000LM003 A REV.

    PN:HN - M201RAD/M 2000 GB + 5v 0.85 A

Please tell me that it is a HP Pavilion HDD and how can I get the laptop to recognize the HDMI connection on the flat screen TV?

PS: I checked the amount of space to the new HARD drive that had been installed in and it said 297 GB not 320 GB. Am I missing something? Why can I not see all of the HARD disk if it is 320?

Sorry for the long discription, I stop here.

After you run the disk hard test the short DST failed with the ID PLVLWC-4G24HG-XD6VSG-60TP03 failure.  The laptop is out of warranty. I did the hard reset by removing the battery power button & pressing it showing positive results. The hard drive is repairable or do I replace it? Pls advice

No repair of hard drives; they must be replaced.

See page 41 manual Service here:

It can use any hard drive portable thick 9.5 mm standard 2.5 inch wide and I recommend that you get at least a disk 7200 RPM like this:

  • Hard reset

    Recently, I bought a HP Pavilion x 360 a232nd.

Tonight, I tried to update the software and the bios via the HP program on the laptop.

Unfortunately, something went wrong during the update and the laptop froze.

The screen is activated, the mouse cursor works, fan is running, but nothing happens.

I can't turn off the laptop and I can not turn the screen off power (not even when I close the laptop).

I can't find information on how to perform a hard reset on the x 360 Pavilion.

Y at - there someone who can tell me what to do?

    Thanks for the reply.
I found the information about the hard reset earlier, but the laptop could not be turned off, so a hard reset was not possible.

Finally, the battery discharged and after that, I could recharge the battery and restart the laptop. It seems to work fine now.

  • HP pavillion (don't know who): Hard reset - system cooling fan problem

When I turn on my laptop a message indicating that there is a problem with the cooling system etc., (90 b system fan) fan

I followed some instructions online include blowing through vents to try and remove any dust or dirt build up, the next time I turned on my laptop the message disappeared... However, it turned up which means that the problem is still there.

I went on hp techcenter Web site and he said to do a hard reset as the next step - I'm afraid that this will remove all my documents, music, pictures etc it goes?

In addition, will be a hard reset even fix the fan cooling or is something that must be taken in a store to fix properly, I don't want to mess with it and have it crash on me even more!

Would appreciate any advice or suggestions, thank you!

    Hi LCh1,

    Please try the following,

A Hard reset about a drain of power & does not affect your files.

Just unplug battery & adapter then press & hold it hold the button for 30 seconds & then tun turn it on with the power cord only.

This is the right way to do a Hard reset.

Also update the BIOS to make sure a little extra.

After all, if you have the same problem, contact HP Support by phone or chat if the asset guarantee.

Or buy the chassis fan & do replace it yourself or contact a local ASP

  • Dell XPS 12 - will not start / turns on after hard reset

Last night I was with my XPS w12 in laptop mode on battery and he finally went down to 7% of the capacity.  At this point, it turns off the display and I moved my office to connect the power adapter (thinking it would simply turn the display when there was enough power...  The screen never came back (I waited 15-20 minutes), but the battery has been recharged.  At that time, I tried a hard reset by holding the power button for 5 to 10 seconds.

When I tried to turn it on, nothing happened.  No backlit keyboard, no screen, just the fan.  The light never came the switch either. So I tried an another hard reset with the same results.  I even tried to turn it on with the "D" button held down for on board diagnostics and got nothing more than the start of the fan.

I thought it might be an overheating problem, so I let it set for an hour and tried again - none other than the fan. It seems that the laptop does not pass the initial diagnosis and not even up to the point where the bios starts to load.

I really thought that my cell phone was dead and ready for use.  I took it in the office the next day so I could call Dell Support Pro. Just for fun, I plugged with the AC adapter and tried to turn it on - viola!  It started working again.

I had this problem once before, and he began to work after 2-3 resets hard. I was working on a proposal when the laptop went down. I tried reset hard over a period of 4 hours with no result. It baffles me why it start OK the next day morning.

I was wondering if anyone else has had the same problem.  I am running the A07 BIOS (the most common) and my 12 XPS is configured with 8 GB of memory and 256 GB SSD with an i7 and Intel wireless card.

Any suggestions on this diagnosis? The hardest part is then if fails, the failure is total - you are unable to diagnosis. When she comes back, all right, and there is than any event in the event log that relate to the failure.

OK - I narrowed down it to the following:

When the laptop is "asleep", it will finally in power mode. It seems that connect a power adapter for the laptop at this point will enter a State of confusion, when the button is pressed, the laptop fan turns on but no light on the power button or on the keyboard – the screen remains blank.  Laptop fan works (it is very quiet - he must hold the phone to your ear to hear it).

I don't know if the cause is a low battery or if the issue is simply with the State of the CPU to power down.  All I know is that when it happens, if I disconnect the power adapter and press and hold the power button until the fan of the laptop turns off, the hard reset allows him to come back normally.  If you leave the adapter attached, it will charge the battery but will not allow the laptop start.

I said this experiment several times with the same result every time. I'm guessing that there is a bug in the BIOS that defines an error state that are resolved with the associated power Board. Do the hard reset without the adapter seems reliable to fix the problem.

  • Hard reset on hp g62

If I perform the hard reset on hp g62, so it won't affect the movies and programs on the hard drive?

Hard Reset does not change any settings on the laptop, so it won't affect your photos/music/the data on the hard drive.

Just to confirm, Hard Reset, you mean the following steps.

To remove the battery and the adapter and press and hold the power for 30 odd seconds and then plug the adapter only and turn on the laptop.

The foregoing is the steps for a Hard Reset.

  • How to make than a Hard reset on the iPhone 6 s

I would like to know how to do a hard reset on my iPhone 6 s. can someone guide me through this?

What do you mean by a hard reset? This term is not the troubleshooting steps. There is no reboot, reset, restore from backup, restore to factory. A reset here is the sleep/wake and home together buttons until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will restart. No data is assigned to this procedure.

I lost the signal on my iPhone so I decided to do a hard reset and now the power button at home instead of turn off in the traditional way and realized that this one will go out with the new Touch ID. This can be a problem if ever, the camera freezes and doesn't go out eith the standard power button.

The procedure for the 7 and 7Plus is to use the button On / Off and Volume button. The procedure remains the same.

I just took the new smartphone Iphone SE in April 2016. It worked perfectly fine for the months that I had it until last night. I was recording playing me the guitar, when I put the phone down with the camera open for a few seconds. When I went to get the phone upwards, the screen was frozen and colors have been melted. The multicolored lines appeared as well. I tried to close the application by pressing the home button, and when I tried to press the sleep button to access the lock screen, the phone went black. When I went to press the sleep button to access the lock screen, the phone opens the same screen frozen, multicolored as before. I panicked and hard reset the phone. I turn on is no longer the phone. No apple logo appears, as well as logos 'connect to Itunes '. I tried to restore the phone to factory via Itunes, but it was without result.

Surprisingly, when I went to restore the phone, the second time, serial number has changed from a game of numbers and letters invalid "s/o," as if Itunes is no longer permitted to detect it as an iPhone. In addition, the phone is now considered as a completely new system on Itunes, which I don't know is normal.

Your phone is not hacked and all the malware only you could catch is malicious cookies in Safari or other browsers that are removed easily by clearing their cache. I suspect you have a hardware problem, nothing more, that should solve the Apple store.
