  Have you tried to use the disk of Windows XP, or Windows Update running default drivers to search for best driver for your sound card?

  Also, I found only 1 driver on your system gateway Web site is located here.

  In this HARD drive recovery process, Vista folder remained on my partition E: (containing about 5 GB of files dated 2008...).

  I HAVE (even 2 sets of) recovery DVD for Vista.
  The infrastructure of original HDDRecory for Vista on the laptop ran defective, already long ago for some reason any.

  There is therefore no reason to keep the old HDD Recory on E: folder.
  It is completely unnecessary and I would like to remove this folder without formatting E:.
  However, although I work with admin rights, this is strictly rejected by the system of Windows 8.

  Is there any idea how to get the access rights to delete the HDDRecory folder?

  So far I didn't test these actions, but if you have administrative rights, maybe it's possible to delete certain partition and without changing the ability to create a new.

  G61 401SA laptop: Windows 7 64-bit.

  I replaced a hard drive fault and used the recovery disc to re - install. All loading software and it says to remove it from your drive and continue to restart.

  I did this and it is only with - "No Bootable device - insert boot disk and Press any key"

  I ran the recovery many times, but each time what happens with the same problem.

  Anyone know what I can do, or how to fix this?

  Thank you for your support.

  The problem is resolved.

  A little history on how - I did as suggested and created a Windows7 install disc.

  However, before doing so, I tried the original on a different hard drive used recovery disks. They loaded correctly and all worked.

  I then tried again on the new drive (which I had already formatted on another computer, just in case). Once again they load but returned with "No. Bootable device.

  Then used the newly created Windows installation disc, which installed correctly.

  Then, I used again recovery disks on the now used drive which worked well. So no need to download all the drivers etc as all back by default.

  We always bought HP, however this including my experience with their terrible support and the fact that I had two of the PSU and a screen fail recently left a very bitter taste.

  my laptop wouldn't load Windows, but then a screen came and gave me a few options (i.e. turn PC on / off) I did. It did not work.   The only way to recreate the hard disk recovery Partition is to perform a factory reset (reinstall the OS) using your recovery discs - it recreates all the original scores.

  Try the following to see if you can boot from your recovery discs - remember to backup all your files personal etc first.

  Shut down the laptop.  Now on TAP the ESC key as soon as you press the power button to launch the start menu.  Select the Boot Manager option, open the drive and insert the first disk recovery and close the player, use the arrow keys to select the CD/DVD drive and press to enter.

  Click plus the sign (+) next to the category Batteries, all ads in 'Microsoft ACPI Control method battery compatible', then right-click and select uninstall in the dialog "Confirm device uninstall", click OK. (it's ok if you only have 1 of them).

  Click the plus (+) sign next to system devices.
  The "ACPI fixed features button ' right-click and choose uninstall. In the "Confirm device uninstall" dialog, click OK.

  Shutdown

  Disconnect the AC

  Insert the battery

  Connect AC

  Startup

• recomBR error to REMOVE when using recovery on Satellite M70 CD - 395

  My Toshiba M70-395 gave an error message when turning indicating he couldn't read the hard drive. PC World advised before trying to replace the hard drive I have try the recovery disk. Tried this, but after start-up and did a few things in gave me an error message "error DELETING recomBR" and will not continue.

  Does this mean I need a new hard drive? Just after the 1 year warranty (bought in August 2006 B). Any advice welcome?

  I can't say much about this error because I never noticed something like that during the recovery process.
  Still is it that it should be possible to recover the laptop using the Toshiba Recovery CD.
  If it is not possible to retrieve the laptop when there must be a hardware failure.

  Due to the fact that the HARD drive cannot be recognized, I guess that the HARD drive is dead and you need a new!
  I think that there is no alternative to replace the HARD drive with a compatible and to perform the installation of the OS from the recovery CD.

  I have laptop HP HDX which had a sound problem with message of error "Could not play the test tone", tried in several ways by online suggestions and ended to reinstall the new copy with recovery disk. As part of the recovery with a reovery of HP drive, I tried to get it back and it formatted boot partiion and got this error message "error 1002 if the problem persists, please contact HP support. My laptop is out of warranty now.  I talked to HP support and they ask me to buy new drives recovery and someone in this forum mentioned that recovery disk will lift the same mistake and we would need to purchase technical support and even that has not worked for soembody after paying $ 200 to support. I am struck with recovery of the laptop now. I also tried the recovery partition revovering and gave rise to no luck.  I'm now out of warranty.

  I am really fedup with bearing on my this laptop windows vista 64 bit HP HDX laptop problems. What is your best suggestion for me to recover my windows vista now?

  I ordered the drive to restore HP for $ 16 and I have no problem in my OS with this disk recovery. Recovery partition that came with my laptop had this error 1002 and he really tortured than me. It is recovered successfully with this new disc of recovery with on all issues.

  I would have saved a lot of time, would not have had any stress and restore ($16) if HP disks price had built the free bug recovery partition.

  I'll be very careful in buying HP products in the future.

  You can simply remove this folder and... bye recovery image. After doing this, you will not be able to install the operating system using the HDD recovery procedure (F8 fix my computer).
  So before that, you create DVDs of recovery for other facilities.
