  It's the same problem caused by Microsoft, including serial mouse drivers that probably there is not even any more, which affects many GPS dongle users. In my case, it's a little more critical.

  My company connects medical devices to work stations to collect data of vital signs of patients. The devices are connected by serial port. Windows detects the data as being a 'pen series Microsoft mouse' at random and install the driver, the port of locking. We have a registry hack that allows us to avoid this on a physical serial port and that works very well. The problem is, most modern computers have no serial ports, so we have to use a USB-serial adapter. Windows 7 is still randomly this detection as a serial mouse and locking port. If we can take of it, we can disable it in Device Manager. But it is rare.
  This issue has been a problem for many years, and the refusal of Microsoft to fix it now problems with the collection of medical data. This is impacting on patient care.
  We need a reliable way to completely turn off serial mouse detection. It's absolutely ridiculous that Microsoft includes an autopilot, with no mechanism to disable detection, for a mouse that probably doesn't even exist. Serial mouse died in the 1990s.
  If anyone has a solution to this problem, I would appreciate it. Directly from research on Bing, Google and Microsoft have proved fruitless, without apparent help Microsoft at all.

  I know this question was asked several times before, but the solutions proposed, such as changin the registry does not help. It changes by itself. In the configuration that I have in my boat, the stream of NMEA data is directly injected into the COM port so no driver is necessary. It's a problem easily solved in windows XP, why is it so difficult in W7? There must be a way to permanently disable the plug-and-play driver load. If something similar could be provided by MS for W7, it would be very good...

  It turns out that the program at the port of Stentec COM (freeware) http://www.stentec.com/en/download-freeware care & play blocker, also works in W7. I don't know how it works, but it does, and it's good for me! It also works for the virtual serial ports.

  You get the error 0x800f0906 because you have installed KB3022345. Uninstall it by going to programs and features in Control Panel and then click on the link "View installed updates".

  In the Find box top right, copy and paste (or type) KB3022345 and when it appears in the list, on the right, click on it and choose uninstall.

  The preinstalled version of office is just a trial version you wrote. If you want to use Office after this trial version you must buy it.

  The key on the lower side of your laptop belongs to the pre-installed Windows version and has nothing to do with the Office.

  AFAIK the preinstalled Office is a trial version!
  You cannot use the serial key you found at the bottom of the unit because the key to this series is a serial OEM key and it belongs to the version preinstalled Windows.

  So if you want to enable the office, then you will need to purchase the full license!
