Support for Windows 8 for ADF Mobile (Client)

We are developing an ADF Mobile application for our sales team. We know that there are two operating systems today (IOS and Android). We know that Oracle will also support Blackberry and Windows 8 operating systems. But it has not yet been published, and there is no information of annouced on dates realese.

Are they still in your ADF Mobile roadmap? Will be forthcoming in the new feature? We are about to decide on hardware and operating system that we will use in our society and need to know the release date for Windows 8.

Hello

can't say about the release dates of other mobile device operating systems, but I don't see coming in the very short term. If you plan better with Android and iOS

    Hi all

Let him. so the only possible option for me is to download it on my local drive and should be updated. I searched but could not find the appropriate link, so I have to post here. Kindly help me to find it please...

    Thank you
    Flavian.

Just to clarify, there are two types of mobile applications, we support:
Web mobile apps are the ones that you create using the components of the Trinity, access you them from the browser on the mobile device. To use it, you don't have any extension for JDeveloper.
If you want to get all of the features shown in the video that you are referencing you should get the latest * 11.1.2 JDeveloper - in the version you have 11.1.1.4 you will need to manually do steps (such as the creation of the skins file).
    Tutorials for 11.1.1. *-http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/ccset51-all-102005.html

The other type of applications mobile, we will offer a solution soon is application that you build and install on the device itself.

  • ADF Mobile Client: Error when trying to import javax.microedition. *.

    Hello

JDev throws errors at compile time when I try to deploy a sample Client Mobile ADF application.
These errors are related to the import of javax.microedition.io. *.

Error (11,29): javax.microedition.io package does not exist
Error (12,29): javax.microedition.io package does not exist
Error (180,9): could not find class HttpConnection

Error (191,42): cannot find variable connector
    Error (250,49): inconvertible types
Error (303,40): cannot find variable HttpConnection

Guidance on the way in which these errors could be solved?

Is there a wireless JDev extension to be installed to fix these errors related to J2ME?

For JDev 10 g, I could find such an extension called JWE here: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/iaswe/archive/developer/index.html
I couldn't find any similar extension for JDeveloper 11.1.3.

    Kind regards
    Prasad.

Hi, I just want to assure you - have you installed the ADF MObile Client extension yet? Visit JDev-Help-Check for updates official Oracle Extensions and updates and find the Extension of Oracle ADF MObile Client in the list. Check it out, download it and then restart JDev. It seems that the extension is not installed, is not able to load J2ME libraries.

If you downloaded the extension already, please go to properties-libraries and classpath of the project and then see if the sample application makes reference to third party libraries, for example something RIM. If so, please check the path to the library.

Once you have installed the extension, you can also access the customer Mobile ADF Developer's guide - it contains all the documentation around what you need to install first. Please take a look and see what you install - at the very least, you need to install BlackBerry JDE if you want to deploy for BlackBerry and Windows Mobile Emulator, if you want to test the application on Windows Mobile. Finally, if you need to synchronize the data, then you must also install Oracle Database Server Lite for MObile.

  • Jersey on ADF Mobile client

Is it possible to use Jersey client to invoke a WS rest in ADF Mobile? I have included the jars of Jersey in the deployment, but it doesn't seem to work.

Here is an example of the code:
    customer com.sun.jersey.api.client.Client = com.sun.jersey.api.client.Client.create ();
    WebResource webResource = client.resource ("http://server:7001/mycontext/maillot/mobile/getSomeRestData"); ")

    Hello.

Jersey will not work in the current version of Mobile of the ADF. Must at least Java SE 6. CVM JDK (Java ME - CDC) deployed along your Mobile application of the ADF is Java 1.4. We have plans to put a more modern JVM stack in future versions.

  • Windows 8 Switchable Graphics Support for AMD Mobility Radeon and 1st Gen Core i5 Intel Graphics

Since I've upgraded to Windows 8 my graphics did not work at all (only the work aside Intel). This is a problem because it seems that my HDMI port is plugged directly into my ATI card and with it disabled I can't play half of my games or make use of my HDMI port. I contacted AMD and have tried all their drivers but nothing has worked for the past 3 months. They said that, because Intel is a competitor, the manufacturer must release these new driver updates to manage the two cards. I couldn't find anything to help me with this and I am planning to switch brands because it has been a frustrating experience for me. In addition, I can not install AMD Catalyst Control Center because for some reason it does not recognize my card. If you guys could help me find a solution to this problem or point me in the right direction would be great. Thank you.

    Hi Matt,

I don't think that HP will develop Windows 8 drivers for your model, but you can try the switchable graphics avaiable to measure on the following link - I would suggest that you read the guide on how to install these drivers correctly.  It is also important to note that the driver signature enforcement is disabled so that these drivers to load, - more details can be found here.

  • No Extension for JDeveloper 11.1.1.4.0 ADF Mobile?

    Hello
I have recently improved and jdev 11.1.1.3 to 11.1.1.4.0 when checking for extension, can't find one for the ADF Mobile Client extension.
But the tutorial at: http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/tutorials/obe/jdev/obe11jdev/ps3/adf_mobile_top/adf_mobile/jdtut_11r2_54_1.html, says that she is available.
Can someone please clarify if it is available for the 11.1.1.4.0 and if so, how to get it?
If this is not the case, how to build projects adf mobile using this version? Or should I roll back 11.1.1.3 if I want to create mobile client applications? And guess which also apply to the browser mobile apps?
    Kind regards

Published by: HVT on March 2, 2011 02:55

Hi, Hemant, both Android and iOS are both on the roadmap for ADF Mobile Client, with Android as the first target. iOS is much more difficult, and we take a multiphase approach to solve it.

Windows Phone 7 is still under review - a direction of Nokia it give Windows Phone 7 a little more important now.

There are currently no J2SE / provided for the "Windows" version - if there is strong demand for the approach on the laptop, please let us know. It seems that tablets (iPad, Android, BlackBerry PlayBook tablet, etc.) are taking more and more the mobile use case who traditionally filled by the laptop.

We will also see if WebOS/Palm catches ever.

Symbian is unlikely, given the Nokia seems to have indicated that it will with Windows Phone.

It is also probable that we would target consumer/J2ME phones type at this point. It is not commonly used as enterprise mobile application devices, and also the trend seems to be that this smart phone will finally exceed the phones to consumers in terms of volume.

    Thank you

  • support for the iPhone/iPod Touch browser

Probably not the right place to post but...

I get a pop up in Safari on iPod Touch saying I have an unsupported browser. IE 7, Firefox, etc. are supported. The project is using components of the ADF.

Web pages work in Google Chrome.

Where can I adjust / add the browser target in JDev/WebLogic?

    Hello

Support for iPhone/iPod Touch Safari is ADF Mobile, which, as Shay has pointed out, requires the use of the library of the Trinity. A notice to ADF Mobile project may contain no reference to ADF Faces components. The General steps for creating an application the ADF Mobile is as follows:

    1. define your model as usual, or simply re - project use the same template project or your application as your ADF Faces app.
    2. create a new project - select a generic project. When you are prompted for the technology of the project, simply select "Mobile". This would bring about the necessary libraries for ADF Mobile, but nothing else.
    3. create the page stream and views as you would for any JSF application. You can use any Trinidad component available in the component palette.

The tutorial for creating a simple mobile application is at: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/11/cuecards/adf_set_51/ccset51_ALL.html

The short demo for creating a mobile application is at: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/viewlets/viewlet.html

For ADF Developers Guide Mobile also contains useful information, which is located in the documentation section of the JDeveloper/ADF.

Finally, there is a sample application that contains a number of optimizations for smartphone browsers, including specific optimizations for the iPhone. You can download the example file to the: http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/wireless/adfm_new.zip. This sample application is designed to work with the Fusion order demo. You can try to follow the tutorial above and then use this project as a sample for you improve app.

I saw a new rules that sent to the IOS Developer any delay to February 1, 2014 for submission apply new/updated App Store must generate in XCode5 and optimized for iOS7 SDK

And the current version of the ADF doesn't support or XCode 5 and iOS Mobile 7 SDK.

Then my current app in the App Store will be a risk with us because we are planning to update the application in the next phase in this month of February.

So, please fix as soon as possible.

just as an fyi: we are currently working on a new game Patch for ADF Mobile 11.1.2.4 which also addresses the issue of XCODE. Beside that, Timo is correct that the RTO does not help fixing bugs because it is only a forum for communication and assistance

  • ADF Mobile - Table attached views

How to pass the new AMX view table as FK PK.

Don't know how to do in this regard.

Should we indicate a child view display criteria with Bind Variable from parent PK Table. If so, how.    (e.g. WHERE parent.pk = child.fk)

Don't want to have a form of parameter, just taking the PK of the parent used as FK to child, like a Mobile view.

Always mention your JDev version. Check out this blog: Andrejus Baranovskis Blog: Service Web master / detail ADF BC for ADF Mobile

  • Dynamic model AMX in ADF Mobile

    Hi guys,.

As seen in file AMX to design the user interface for ADF Mobile, but I just need to have a dynamic flow user interface
for example. When choosing fall down in the page (A) and jump to the next page (b) with the value control to show some of < amx:inputText > in the page (b)

How to make dynamic in amx?

    Hello

have a bean managed in the Workflow page range. Bind the property made of components on the page to the same successful bean and have the bean by assigning the value of the field that is rendered true or false. That's how I'd do. A similar use case is here: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/learnmore/m02-dynamicallyshowhidecomponents-1915399.pdf
