Supported double external monitor

Is there a way to support the use of two external monitors moored in the ban?

I found a DisplayPort to DVI - D connector.  Once that happens, I'll give it a try; hook the two up to the base.

  • I want to get caught in charge double external monitor for my MBP with Win7 on Fusion, what should I buy?

Forgive me if this is clear somewhere in the communities.  I have indeed searched it in addition to Google and I can't find a clear answer.

I have a 15 "MacBook Pro (aluminum Unibody 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo w / 4 GB RAM with backlit keyboard black) running VMware Fusion 3.1 and Windows 7 x 64 as a guest in Unity Mode operating system.  I have two screens beautiful external LCD on my desk.  I want to be able to run both of them with this software/hardware configuration.  To do this, I bought a USB to DVI DisplayLink solution by Diamond (as the MBP had only a single mini-DisplayPort port) in order to be able to control the 2nd external monitor.

I noticed that when I added the USB to DVI for mixing with the latest DisplayLink drivers (it is the time where I was running VMware Fusion 3.0), it works, but not very reliable and it would break my Win7 x 64 VM or cause other weird problems too much.  I have had no other problems with this configuration in addition to VMware fusion.  As long as I wasn't trying to run a virtual machine with the merger, the USB to DVI external worked very well.   However, given the choice to have a 2nd external monitor or VM support, I had no other choice than to loop and choose VMware on the adapter.  Well, I took it on the mixture so I went back to the adapter.

I got the notice that VMware Fusion 3.1 is available with tons of bugs and it whet my appetite again for the glory of two external monitors, so I upgraded to it yesterday.

Is someone can you please tell me exactly what I need to buy to get the reliable support of two external monitors in this environment?

And please don't say no double or Triple head to go by Matrox.  I don't mean for this set of compromise.

Besides solutions Matrox, my only choice seems to be somehow supporting this additional monitor via Ethernet, Firewire or USB.  I want to know what are sanctioned for this solutions are supported by VMware (i.e. you tell me what to buy...) I'll buy it... and it works... works very well).

    Thanks a bunch,

    Ted...

Almost all laptops, dual support external monitor and are VERY easy to configure.

    http://bannronn.com/market_basics/pc_hardware/multi_monitor_setups_mobile_systems.html

I support Mac and PC systems.  It's a complete joke that anyone would try to convince me that Mac has better bi-ecrans support.

To the extent where what is the best solution for businesses.  The need to install a virtual Mac on a PC machine was never even considered because it is not necessary in the world of business.  I can't say that on Mac.

I'm the guy who went to take care of both in a business environment.  Your brilliant mac sounds really cool, but it is a major pain in my butt and should be confined to a domestic environment.

Screwed as far as home users, my Mac friends never call me on the East of their computer from viruses.  I like this very well on Mac at home.  But which probably has more to do with the fact that it is not profitable to write a virus for the Mac platform.

  • Tecra S5: No. 1920 x 1200 and 1680 x 1050 support on external monitors?

    Hello

    I have a Tecra S5 with nVidia Quadro NVS 130 M (512 MB)
Officially, according to Toshiba, the external monitor plug is:
    + Max resolution: 2 048 x 1 536 +.
    + maximum refresh rate: 100 Hz +.
    + resolution not interlaced with a maximum refresh rate: 1920 x 1 200 +.

I try to work with 2 different external monitors without success.

First of all, I had a Samsung 245 b, 24 "(1920 x 1200). I have install the driver of Samsung, but the resolution was not supported. I also tried the forceWare laptop2go.com, but again no luck.
So, I change my monitor and bought a Samsung 2243NW 22 ", 1680 x 1050. This resolution is the same with the native resolution of Tecra. I thought that this resolution could be supported. But still no luck. I could change the 1400 x 1050 or 1600 x 1200 resolution, but not the 1680 x 1050.

There we really pity that Toshiba support 1920 x 1200 and 1680 x 1050 resolutions. Most of our days the monitors use these.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you for your time

    Hello

You first need to check if your graphics card would support such a resolution on external monitor.
The user must provide all the details.
If the card doesn t supports you the preferred resolution and then there is nothing to see.

If the GPU can handle such external resolution then you should check if the graphics driver would also support such a resolution. The fact is that even if the graphics card, would support the external resolution, that you will not be able to choose if the graphics driver supports doesn t.

As you can see that several factors are important

  • Is Satellite M70-339 supports port external monitor?

This model has a (d - Sub 15-pin) port for connecting an external monitor? -The data sheet on this site does not list one!

Copy of it please respond to [email protected]

    Thank you

    Hello

I put t found any information on the satellite M70-339, but on the M70-337.
I think that the two units are not different and the ports are the same.

However, as far as I know the M70-337 supports RGB (monitor) port on the left side, and you can connect the external monitor to this port.
This device supports also a s-video port to connect the TV to the unit.

  • Edge E530 and double external monitor - possible?

I can't get two external monitors to work.

I have two dell monitors and connected my E530 via VGA to a.

I just bought another and it connected via HDMI - DVI Cable.   I can't believe the other to extend in the control panel of Windows 7.

The E530 drive only 1 external monitor?

    Any advice?

    Thank you

Well, he can drive 1 external monitor if your internal monitor is turned on. If you need to both player + 1 internal monitor monitors.

You would need a Lenovo ThinkPad USB 3.0 docking station, which is capable of driving more than 2 monitors + 2 which you can control with the E530.

  • Support of external monitor on computer laptop dv6833

I have a laptop HP dv6833 with a (built-in) edge 'Intel 965 Express' video driver (ver. 7.14.10.1437). I want to connect my laptop to my monitor to get more screen real estate Dell 22 '' widescreen. However, when I connect the monitor using schema "multiple display" Intel, I can't have the 22 "monitor to display a resolution higher than 1280 x 800. The monitor is actually capable of displaying resolutions up to 1680 x 1050.

I checked the HP website for updated a new/updated video driver, but I already have the latest being. The only other driver listed on their website is a nVidia driver that installs not on my laptop. Someone at - it any other suggestions to increase the resolution of my monitor 22 '' capability when connected to my laptop?

    Thank you.

Wait a minute... it worked... I think so! I tried to adjust my display settings in Windows Vista (again) and all of a sudden I can choose resolutions all the way up to (and beyond) 1680 x 1050. Don't know if clicking on a files did, but I'm a happy camper now.

I also noticed to display properties for the Intel GMA driver that the regime had changed "Display multiple" to "single - monitor. Also, when I toggle the secondary monitor using the keys Fn/F4, I can't reach a higher resolution, unless I have to toggle the display of the computer to the off position.

I don't know if the soluton is to download and click the driver to display, or toggle the display of control files, or both. What was the solution, the problem is resolved.

THANKS A BUNCH FOR YOUR HELP!

  • Support for two external monitors on X 201

    Hello world

I would get a mobile X 201. However, I wonder if it would be able to support two external monitors with the X 200 ban.

I hope that run two monitors at 1080 x 1920 (essentially two 22 "IPS panels rotates 90 degrees).

Would it not able to support that?

Yes you can do it, it could be done in laptops, made several years ago.

  • Tecra S3: Driver needed to activate the resolution to 1680 x 1050 on external monitor

I am looking for a driver for Windows XP that supports an external monitor to 1680 x 1050 on a Tecra S3.
So far with the Toshiba drivers I can only use 1440 x 900.
The monitor can be detected through its resolution.

Is it possible to use two different external monitors?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

    1. There is no official driver of Toshiba or Nvidia with this resolution.
I tested the driver 165.01 http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/drivers with the external resolution 1680 x 1050 and it works very well.
Download the driver and updated the inf file.

    2. even if you are using the docker, there is no way to use two external monitors connected VGA and DVI simultaneously. This is not supported.
Only of external solutions with a separate adapter grafics provide (for example Toshiba Dynadock, a usb solution). But from my point of view, all are not very satisfactory.

  • NB520 - support for multiple monitors

NB520 they supported multiple monitors built in, if not, how can I have multiple monitor support my NB520? I need to use a Pewerpoint 2007 (presenter to display mode differs from the public view).

Thanks a lot for a response in advance.

    Hi smit_Aood,

The NB520 supports an external monitor and you can use the internal monitor + external at the same time (both monitors are supported). In addition, you can choose if you want to extend the desktop on the secondary monitor or to clone.

Using the FN + F5 key combination, you can switch between different modes.

Last but not least, you can use also a video projector or a TV as a second monitor. A certain computer screen is not necessary. ;)

  • Satellite U300-113 and external monitor use

I have, what I thought until very recently, a very simple need: I would like to connect an external monitor on my laptop, but on the continuation of the investigation things seem much more complicated about resolutions natives and elongation.
Is there anyone who could recommend an acceptable quality monitor that is proven to work?

I think that you should check the resolutions supported for external monitors and I think you can find answer in user manual s on page 119. To have a perfect image on external screen, you should buy external display with a native resolution listed in the table of user s manuals.

Also talk to your local dealer. Perhaps you can test the functionality in the store before buy you.

  • How to set 1280 x 800 on external monitor connected to the Tecra M2V by APR3?

    Hello

I have a Tecra M2v (with intel Extreme Graphics 2) and recently got an Advanced Port Replicator III and a 15.4 "WXGA LCD display. According to the specifications of the laptop (LINK to DL the PDF specsheet) it will support an external monitor with a resolution of 1280 x 800, but I don't know how to operate. The only resolutions that I can find are for 1024 x 768 or 1280 x 1024.

I installed the latest version of the bios (v 1.30) and have tried different drivers of intel and can not get the wide screen resolutions to appear. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get this to work?

    Hello Randy

Are you sure that your external LCD can manage with a resolution of 1280 x 800? You attempted to set this resolution without Advanced Port Replicator III?

  • Change Alpha 12 external monitor?

    Hello

could someone please give me a hint how to use an external monitor with the Alpha 12 switch? I already bought a usb - c for an hdmi cable. But unfortunately, the alpha 12 complains only that it does not recognize the usb device and my external monitor does not get a signal. What I have somehow mode usb - c?

    Best,

    Manju

Hello. I don't know if you still need help with this, but I had success by using the USB cable from questions 3.1 Type C HDMI adapter with my Alpha 12 switch for support of external monitors. The single HDMI port map ($23) and the map more expensive multiport ($50) of the questions cable should work. I got it on Amazon. No drivers needed. It worked the first time a few seconds to connect on my Alpha 12 switch. I read online that you should already have the HDMI cable connected to the adapter before plugging it into the USB Type C of your computer port, or it may not work.

I saw on the German version of the website of Acer support that you used a USB Aukey Type C HDMI adatper. I also tried this same card, but it did not work with the switch Alpaha 12. I do not recommend as adapters of Aukey for Acer Alpha 12 switch based on my experience. The 'Plugable USB - C for HDMI adapter 2.0"(Plugable is the brand name) is also supposed to work but I have not tested. But a reviewer of Amazon said it worked and it lists the compatible Alpha 12 switch on their web site.

Hello. I'm sorry to speak English here, but I found this thread on the version Google English during my research on how the hell I can get an external monitor to work on my Alpha 12 switch. I first tried the connected HDMI same Aukey adapter above, but it did not work with the Alpha 12 switch.

I have had success using "3.1 C Type of HDMI adapter USB cable issues" with my Alpha 12 switch for support of external monitors. Single port USB - C adapter HDMI (19.99 euros) and the more expensive card multiport (49.99 euros) of the questions cable should work. I got from Amazon USA, but I see that the German Amazon site sells too. No drivers needed. It worked the first time a few seconds to connect on my Alpha 12 switch. I read online that you should already have the HDMI cable connected to the adapter before plugging it into the USB Type C of your computer port, or it may not work.
