Surface book Graphics Accelerator problems

I have a new book of Surface with processor i7, 16 GB of Ram. If I turn 'use graphics processor' and use the Liquify tool, it displays weird 'blocks' everywhere where fluidity has been applied. If I turn off 'use graphics processor', even if it slows down the rendering of the image considerably when in the window of fluidity (and also disables touch pinch zoom and rotation), the image looks correct.

I've updated Windows 10 and Photoshop CC 2015 the latest versions. All the drivers are up to date. Anyone had this similar probem and don't know a solution? For now I have deactivate "Use graphics processor" to liquefy and save the affected layer. Then I turn on 'use the graphics processor' and restart photoshop so I can use the function zoom/rotation of touch.

Photoshop oddity.PNG

The latest version of Photoshop should solve the problem of liquefy.

  • Google Earth crashes the driver Intel graphics accelerator on Lenovo Tablet K3011W

Hi, I bought a Lenovo K3011W Tablet to be able to check the Google Earth maps on the road. Everything works fine, only Google Earth crashes the Intel graphics accelerator driver. It's obviously a serious driver problem!

I tried different versions of Google Earth, but without success (version 7.1 last 5). Have the most recent graphics driver installed and the Win8 preinstalled. Who can help to solve this problem?

I found the solution without any help from people here... Thanks at least for reading!

The versions of Google Earth 7 and 6 DO NOT WORK on Ideapad K3011W - they CRASH the driver Intel graphics accelerator!

Version 5.2, which can easily be downloaded from the Filehippo site is the version of Google Earth work. As far as I can see, this version works perfectly and I am happy with this solution, do not need the features 3D anyway. I want to check Google Earth maps in the field. So this could be the solution for others who have experienced this quite annoying problem.

  • Dell U2414Hb with Microsoft surface book and the docking station works do not reliably

I recently bought two monitors Dell U2414H to work with my book surface and surface dock. The monitors to work reliably for a while (sometimes up to 3 or 4 hours) then suddenly one or two will be turned off and the display will switch to the surface for a second book or two and then return to the monitors. Sometimes, the system can go through a unstable stage of switching between monitors and books surface exposure 30 times or more within a period of 5 minutes.

I have been searching for a solution and found the following page on the Microsoft website that indicates there is a known issue.

Link to the Page of MS

I tried searching the dell website, but can't find anything on this problem.

    I'm trying to find out

    1. If it is something Dell know and respect that I live the known problem.

    2. is it likely to be a solution in a reasonable time

3 should I return the monitors and buy something different.

    Any suggestion would be appreciated

    Simon

    Problem =
    * When the Surface book is anchored and double are connected using DisplayPort multistreaming (daisy chain), one or two screens will not be recognized after restart or power cycling the book surface. In both cases, the resulting no video appearing on external displays.
    * Some displays will expose rip video on the secondary display, what installation using DisplayPort multistreaming (daisy chain).
    * A view not to return to video mode displayed after recovering from power save mode.

    Workaround short term =
Surface CDM Dock on--> Dell mDP to DP cable--> #1 off DP (DP 1.2) monitor
Surface book CDM on--> Dell mDP to DP cable--> #2 off DP (DP 1.2) monitor

    Long term = solution
We still see a lot of questions with our instructors and Surface products. Microsoft is supposed to work on a special connector dongle that enhances the process of link training to increase the power of the signal has negotiated with external monitors. As to when this will be available, which is unknown by Dell.

    Hello

Thanks for choosing Windows and thank you for providing an opportunity to help you.

According to the description, it seems that you are having problems with graphics accelerator.

I need to ask you some questions to help you better.

    1. What is the exact error message associated with graphics accelerator?
    2. are you referring to hardware accelerator?

  • Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit; A message appeared briefly near the icons boot on the recovery of graphics accelerator.

I use Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit; all updates are installed.  About 2 weeks ago, when surfing the web on Chrome the screen became black and then recovered in 20 seconds approximately. A message appeared briefly near the icons boot on the recovery of graphics accelerator.  Since then, it has happened more frequently. When I searched on Google for an answer I've seen responses ranging from a problem of updating a software conflict.  Someone really knows how to fix this?

Then it may just have been a glytch of chrome, and given that I don't use chrome I could not tell you

  • Pinch to Zoom-the touchpad does not not in Adobe Reader DC / Illustrator (Microsoft Surface book)

    Hi all

The pinch to zoom-the touchpad is an important part of my work, but I can't make it work in Illustrator CS6 Adobe DC or on the cell Surface book. Does anyone know a potential solution?

There may be some registry that I can change or manifest some file, I can create to resolve this problem?

On my previous laptop touch I could solve this problem by disabling the touch mode in Adobe Reader, but for the book of the Surface, the touch screen remains active even when the touch mode is disabled.

    Thank you

    Justin

    Hi Sarah,.

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, this does not solve the problem - I think it may be a software problem and a hardware, that is, the touch screen is the default input device because it is used also in tablet form.

For now I have switched to Foxit Reader and can confirm the pinch to zoom-the touchpad works in this software (I do not mean to be inflammatory, but rather as at least temporary difficulty for users experiencing this problem!).  However, I am not aware of the alternatives comparable to Adobe Illustrator, so I'll have to support limiting it.

    Best.

  • How does 3D graphic acceleration?

I have a server Dell PowerEdge R900 hex quad-processor 2.33 GHz with 64 GB RAM... a lot of computing power. But the machines I'm interested in virtualization are Android emulators and very demanding from the graphic point of view. Finally, I would like to take a look at some companies of the level graphics accelerated as the K1 NVIDIA GRID under vSphere virtualization solutions but for now it is out of my budget and it is an experience in my garage.

With that of the road, here is the question:

Through experimentation, it seems to me that VMware uses a kind of paravirtualization to provide guests 3D graphic acceleration, because when I was running just the database server, I was able to run 2 VMS simultaneously before performance became a problem. After you add a consumer level NVIDIA PCI-e x 8 2 GB graphics card, I'm able to run 6-7 virtual machines simultaneously. This is partially supported by what I read on VMware is able to emulate a 3D graphics card using the power of the processor. My main screen (on which virtual machines are displayed) is connected to the graphics card NVIDIA HDMI output. I wonder if I should add another identical to this machine graphics card, would be VMware see, use and allow me to extend beyond the limit, which I am currently hitting? If so, was it a report any with where virtual machines are presented, or could I just add the map (without connecting a screen in there) and still have the advantage?

I ask this question on the use of VMware products in general (free player, Player Pro, workstation, etc.), as I suppose that they all work basically the same way.

Thanks in advance for your time and educate me.

Please specify your question. To get answers from experts on the workstation/player, I would go to our community of workstation.

Please check the following KB that describe how to increase the video memory available (svga.vramSize)

VMware KB: Addition of the modes of video resolution for Windows operating systems

In addition, the technology you are looking for is pass-through for GPU hardware acceleration.

Unfortunately, VMware Player and VMware Fusion exploit the GPU for 3D (SVGA) acceleration, but none of them supports GPU transmission.

Benefit from vDGA (live 1-pass-through: 1) or vGPU (shared GPU / 1: n) you must use vSphere 6 in combination with NVIDIA GRID cards.

  • How VMWare supports 3D graphics acceleration?

We want to use virtual system to test our HTML5 performance.

Thus, 3D graphics acceleration is necessary.

But we are new on the 3D graphics technology and this made feather supported in VMWare.

So, my question is, VMWare support Direct3D, OpenGL, or both?

    How active them?

No I'm sorry, you have to build yourself the vmwgfx driver and to work and then you still use a product that is not yet still in beta.

If you are likely to see problems with it, even if you would get to work.

The easy answer with acceleration hardware openGL support for Linux is to wait until it is available to the public.

  • Qosmio G40-10 s: graphics card problem

    Hello.

I have a Toshiba Qosmio G40 laptop 10s with a Nvidea 8600 M GT grafixs card. I was playing a game when it locked up and pasted what I would describe as flashing red/green 'Matrixy' search screen.

He then a blue screen and trys to reeboot.
He tries to start windows, but once again the top matrix. If it loads to the top, it is in 16 bit color with red dots all over the screen.

I am sure that the GPU is fried... and I was wondering what I can do? It's been 5 months out of warranty now.

I read on some forums that there have been a lot of problems with this Nvidea card... Is there anything I can do outside my warranty period with what there is a possibly faulty card in it from the beginning.

It will cost a lot of money to get it repaired, but its too good a laptop to let go to waste.

    Any help is very appreciated.

    J

    Hello

You also have these lines on an external monitor?
If so, there seems to be a graphics card problem and it must be replaced.

These overheating problems also occur if you use the nVidia display drivers directly. Toshiba drivers are pre-tested and don't overheat your system.

But I think you need professional help. You should contact an authorized service provider and talk to the technicians. They will help you! :)

    Hello

In other words, you need a graphics card driver.
The graphics card driver can be downloaded from the page of European driver of Toshiba.
You can find it in the L300 PSLB8E series.

The European driver Toshiba page can be found here:

  • Intel Graphics Accelerator

I have a HP G72 250US laptop with Windows 7 (64-bit).  Laptop has been stop intermittently. Screen goes black then stops trying to reboot, and sometimes done but the screen is black, so can't see what is on the screen. Other times she just stops completely. Sometimes the screen goes haywire with weird color mixed with pixelated graphics strange horizontal lines then goes black.

Having restarted in safe mode and ran CCleaner and then performed a Hard Reset, which seem to help for the rest of the day, but the next day in the time screen flashed, went black, then came back. This time find a notice but I clicked thinking more information but merely notice go away. It says something about Intel Graphics Accelerator (something? maybe pilot?) has stopped working and has restarted successfully.

I have Intel HD Graphics Driver 8.15.10.2086 version which is what is listed on HP for correct graphic driver. Please notify. Thank you.

    Hey Le_Corbusier,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I read your thread on your HP laptop and get a blank screen or black at startup. Try perform a reset. When you perform a hard reset note remove all USB devices and remove cards memory card reader location. Disconnect all non-essential devices.

Here is a link to overheatingas it may be the cause of the closure. If the laptop has dust on the fans it might be overheating graphics card. If this does not help at the end of this document it tells you to do a test equipment. The last thing you should try is tothe BIOS was updated.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you.

  • can I access button graphic Accelerator cursor in safe mode? Changed it & display lost, gone!

    XPSp3, card ATI 200 Series
I was wondering what graphics accelerator made, moved cursor left and immediately lost the display. Computer still works, but I don't see anything to put back in place. It will damage the all files to turn it off with all these menus open? Restart in safe mode you'll see the screen and can recover in device mgr, if I can put the cursor back where he was?
    Or any other suggestions?

Turn off the computer by pressing the power button for 10 seconds. It's better than just pulling the plug.

Safe mode should start with basic video settings, so you should be able to undo what you did.
