Swollen battery

I have a Macbook Pro 2010 and the battery began to swell, obviously I didn't screw and I ordered one online, after a week when I got the screws and removed the battery that's how I found the battery. I wonder who could be dangerous.

I do not have the care of apple, but I read in another topic that Apple will replace the battery free in a case like this, is it true?

The best option is to set up an appointment at the Genius Bar. Each case is individual, so it is best to clarify with the specialist.

  • New Macbook 12 inches - swollen battery

    Hello world

I bought the new MacBook for my father in June 15. He started to use end of August and loved it instantly. Two weeks ago the rear housing began to separate and I took today at the apple store and they said its probably a swollen battery. The gap is increasing day after day.

They want to replace the rear case and battery. I tried to look online for similar problems with other new MacBook but could not find.

It is unfair that I have ask a replacing a laptop 4 months old? Unfortunately, my father and I are the kind of people who will feel with a device that has been played around with. Any advice on this subject? I want to be able to use and as his laptop computer with confidence. His old Macbook Pro, never required anything and after 5 years its still continues.

Thank you for your help in advance.

You can have the problem repaired under warranty active sn if you take it to your local Apple store. They will not replace the computer if it can be repaired. Just because the battery is faulty don't anyway indicte that is the computer, too.

  • MacBook Pro swollen battery and touch pad don't slam

My 2011 MacBook Pro has been inactive for 3 months and when I put it in the service of the touch pad will not work correctly.

After finding the empty battery, I loaded for several hours and it took the charge.  3 days later, the load is always good.  the problem is that, while the cursor moves easily, the touchscreen function (enter) will not work.  The pad seems to be a little swollen as well.

I was in a harsh climate in Saudi Arabia for a year and had a few touch pad issues with swelling of the battery.  When I returned in North America the problem disappeared.  Now the problem is back.

I'd like suggestions on maintenance or replacement battery.

  • iPhone 6 battery issue

I just had a new battery installed in my iPhone 6 as my old battery was beginning to swell.  I'm on my second new battery in a few days that I had this problem with the new first as well.  Now my phone drains as 20-30% in less than an hour without use.  It almost seems to flow faster when I do not use it.  If I look at the use of the battery, it will not appear its use for individual applications.  In other words, I have no idea why the phone is empty.  I burned completely recharged battery, tried a hard reset and did a full restore.  I have not had this problem with my old swollen battery.  Anyone have any idea why this is happening or have a solution?  Is this a hardware problem?

    Hi Richard,

As I understand it, this is your third battery in no time. And, while the third is not a swelling, the battery life seems out of control down. To complicate the problem, you are not able to determine where this power goes as your use is not shown individual applications. I applaud the troubleshooting you have already done. Let's see if we can get this to work as it should.

What I would like for you to do first are to make sure that you have a recent backup of your iPhone as I would recommend going to completely erase your iPhone all the way up to the iOS.

The backup of your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch

Once your personal information is safe, follow this article to all clear and set up the return to the factory settings.

Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings

When iTunes asks you how you want to configure your iPhone, select "Set up as new iPhone" this time through. Test your phone for a bit to see if your battery life improved. If so, you can use this article to use your recent upward to place your data on your iPhone.

Restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch from a backup

    Take care!

  • MacBook battery exploded and now does not run with charger

Recently, I replaced the battery in my MBP and it worked fine for a few weeks then one day, I woke to find the swollen battery and the bulge of the keyboard. I removed the battery and the thought that I would use just the charger as I had done in the past, but the MBP would not turn on and there is no light in the charger when I plug.

I have a Macbook October 2011 17 "Pro release. I think to repair itself but I was wondering if someone might be able to help me with what could be the problem before I go this route.

Would it be the charger, or did the battery exploding to destroy it completely. I also noticed that plant in the charger plug is smaller than the others. This can be normal, and I have never noticed before.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

You can make an appointment at the Apple Store - Genius Bar store and bring it into service. You can also search an Apple Store - find a store - Apple. You can be denied assistance if you did not replace the battery with a battery or certified Apple-made.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones too small for the phone battery?

    Hello! I need help.

My sister has a curve (8520). She overcharge the battery, so of course, it is inflated. We got him a new battery, which now seems to be too small for the phone. The only thing I can think is that the phone has somehow expanded, but that seems very unlikely to me. I don't understand how that would have happened?

Could someone help me on this, because I spent twice that the phone is a value, over a period of time, trying to get this fixed up for her, and I have neither the time nor the inclination to deal with service providers.

    Thanks in advance.

First of all, a swollen battery does not mean that the battery has been overloaded. It does not mean it probably needs to be replaced but I saw him slightly swollen batteries work fine.

If the new battery is 'too small', then it is likely, that you have the bad battery. The device did not inflate with battery.

My father-in-law has a MacBook which has separated between the upper and lower layers. Works very well. I tried to press it back together, but it will not turn on. Suggestions?

  • Track pad Messed up

I have a MacBook Pro 13 "(mi 2011)." The touchpad does not work normally and he did this for a while, normally I could just click with a normal force and it would click and I would hear a clicking sound, but for some reason, I have to click with a lot of force and repeatedly click on an element. I was wondering if there was a way to solve this problem, because I have to use a plank and a mouse when I'm not on a desk with her. Thank you!

Could be a swollen battery, causing interference with the touchpad. My MacBook Pro is the same year and the battery swelled, causing problems of trackpad. Just a guess,
