trackpad works not

Good evening

as I turn on my macbook pro trackpad not work so I have to turn off many times until it works

What should I do in this case

If you have a removable battery, one of the causes of the problems of trackpad is a swollen battery since that place force on the underside of the trackpad.

Otherwise:

-Try to reset memory NVRAM/PRAM and SMC

  • Trackpad works not while I use my keyboard

    Hi guys

I bought my hp laptop yesterday that I use for the games but when I downloaded and started my game, I realized that my trackpad is not working while I use my keyboard. How can I fix?

    Thank you

    Hello

Normally, you just have to disable SmartSense or PalmCheck Control Panel of Synaptics - but from what I've seen, it seems no longer works for Windows 10 versions of this driver.

You may be able to work around this problem as follows.

First, download the Synaptics driver on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

Version of the Synaptics 17.0.18.8 driver

Disable your wireless card (should be f12 ).

Open Control Panel, open programs and features, right click on the Synaptics driver and select uninstall.

    When finished, restart the laptop.

When windows rebooted, open your download folder and re-run the installer of Synaptics - when it is finished, restart the laptop.

Open the Synaptics settings panel, disable SmartSense or PalmCheck , then check if the touchpad works now with a key on the keyboard is pressed.

If so, turn on your wireless card and use the utility on the following link to prevent Windows 10 to update automatically the Synaptics driver.

    Hello mariajh

    Welcome to the community

Please restart the phone by removing and placing the battery back while the unit is on. This process has fixed application inside modules without losing any stored data. Let us know if you still experience the issue after that.

I brought the device to an Apple dealer and that they could not fix it, because at the point where the laptop was working fine. This morning I finally found something useful in the newspaper.

    and now everything works fine.

Now my question is: can I bring my camera to a repair because it is still under warranty, but I need my laptop everyday. What should I do? Buy a new one and then put it back? I can't believe that I have questions about a machine, I paid over 2 k euros.

Do you think is a hardware problem or an osx bug? I'm under 10.11.2 btw.

    Thank you.

Not OK, so no support in this forum... I called apple and they told me I should put the laptop to apple repair center I did, but they could not reproduce the error (which is random) so that they could not fix it... Now, what are my options here? Am I stuck with a defective machine I paid 2400 euro?

If you choose apple to have a portable stable and a good customer support as I have, please, be aware of this...

  • trackpad is not working I use an external mouse

trackpad is not working I have to use an external mouse.

Hey there, here are some tips that might solve your problem.

1 - Make sure you are on the last update. To see if updates are available for your trackpad, open the App Store and click the updates at the top of the window.

    2-

    Check your settings

Assuming that there were no updates available (or they do not solve your problem), the first port of call should always be your trackpad settings. Many complaints can be resolved simply tweaking a few options

  • I upgraded to the Mavericks, and now the amine on my trackpad will not work. It works in Chrome, the finder, or MS suite. Only FF does not work.

The question has pretty much all the details. I am running FF and latest Mvericks and scrolling / / back in the trackpad does not work. I can scroll in any other program, just not FF.

    Try:

    • System Preferences > General > display the scroll bar > choose "always."
  • Why gesture to turn on my trackpad behaves not as before for switching between tabs when it works the same with all other programs besides Firefox?

Why gesture to turn on my trackpad behaves not as before for switching between tabs when it works the same with all other programs besides Firefox?

I changed the subject: config to make the rotation gesture to move between tabs and it worked great for well over a year. It now behaves properly, as described here:

    https://Bugzilla.Mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=877598

It used to be very controllable move a tab on, now it is erratic and moves quickly and the unexpected tabs regardless of the slowness, I do the gesture of rotation. It's the main reason I use Firefox on Chrome and I will continue to do so unless there is no solution for this.

Just put the browser.gesture.twist.threshold to something around 15-25.

  • the trackpad is not working properly after the update to 10.11.4

    Hello

I've updated my mac pro to the latest OS. However, the trackpad does not work correctly. Sometimes he strives to move the arrow but double click, drag, and all other actions do not work properly.

Can someone help me out here? Is there a way to reactivate the trackpad or update driver for the trackpad.

The trackpad is build-in bluetooth no one.

    Thank you

There are two main troubleshooting steps I suggest to complete to start troubleshooting your touchpad is not responding. These steps are reset of memory NVRAM and the SMC on your Mac and the instructions for each can be found in the articles below.

  • Aspire S7-391 pointer has disappeared and the trackpad is not working

    Hi all

I've updated my Aspire S7-391 to 8.1 Windows and now the trackpad is not working, nor the pointer is displayed on the screen. Can I use a USB mouse without problem, and the touch screen works very well. However, even after you have installed the latest driver to trackpad MOMENTUM and by adjusting the settings, the pointer refuses to appear on the screen. Suggestions for corrections are most appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Hello..

You can press and hold down the Fn key and press the T key to check if the touchpad works.

If you have no answer, please uninstall the driver from Device Manager and restore the Acer recovery management pilot.

  • keyboard and trackpad not working not not after changing the processor and motherboard

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Trackpad not working not

Please help so I received a text message on my blackbery 8520 and I entered the password as usual and the trackpad would not move, I couldn't scroll but I could click but does not scroll please help.

Ok. The problem can be well mechanical.

Open the rear cover and remove the sim card and the battery. There is a small rectangular stainless steel metal plate which is the cover for the touchpad. On the left side of the plaque next to the sim card is a small sweet white piece of sticky paper covering a torx screw that holds the plate in place.

Use a torx screwdriver with a bit of size of T5 and carefully remove the screws, remove the metal plate, then reinsert and replace and tighten the torx screw. You will find that the screw was loose and the plate cannot have been firmly in place. It may solve your problem for good as a loose torx screw prevents the touchpad or the optical block to make the necessary full contact inside this cover.

Make sure not to lose the very tiny torx screws while working on this topic. You can get a torx screwdriver very cheap with a set of bits of miniature for a few s all about £ or $' s. make sure there is a bit of T5 in the game.

A temporary solution that could help until you get the right screwdriver is to put firm pressure on the cover of metal plate with your finger. This does not work for a while but the gel always returns.

Another fix recommended by some is to remove and reinstall Blackberry software, but is not a reliable solution, given the issue of loose screws. The only real difficulty is to follow the procedure above, as long as your touchpad is not physically defective and must be replaced.

Have you tried a battery pull reboot yet! If it please you, do it by removing the battery while your unit is powered, wait a min then reinsert back after the restart please check again and see if it works.

If the problem persists then remove these applications or multimedia files in your machine that recently moved you, it might help.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Trackpad does not - Touch screen work

    I bought a Blackberry 9900 in September 2011.

in July 2012, I had the phone replaced under warranty as the WiFi signal went funny (he was VERY weak all the time) as the speaker was roaring because of play a little hard, so I got the handset replaced under warranty.

Blackberry 9900 replacement handset was working fine until about a month, when my trackpad kept work stoppage. I thought that my phone had frozen, but I could still navigate the phone using the touchscreen. the trackpad works again after 10 seconds.

I tried to restore the firmware of phones at the factory version, I also tried the last updated one (7,1 Bundle 2061), but still no joy - im guessing the problem is hardware related.

    What are my options?

my phone is not covered by manufacturer's warranty is it?

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest a completely clean OS reload... perhaps to aid installation method below 'skeleton' slow...

At the top of each forum device, there should be some 'sticky' threads dealing with the level of the OS available for many models. If they understand your model, please use those as a reference as you go along. Otherwise, you will have to dig through the download portal official for packages of OS for your model:

From a PC, you can install any compatible OS package (for example, for your BB model exact number) of a BB via this procedure:

Note Although written to "recharge" and the storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade or recharge any BB device model - depends on the operating system package you download and install on your PC. If this OS package comes from one carrier other carrier for which your BB was built, then remove, on your PC, all copies of the SELLER. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

Don't forget that you remove, since your PC, any other BB OS devices as packages with more than one installed on the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.

You can also study the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe what he is capable.

You can also try this procedure might limit the specific causal element:

    1. Load your OS "bare bones"... If everything is optional, do not install it.
    2. If the behavior is immediately, then try another OS with step 1
    3. If the behavior does not immediately, then run for as long as necessary to make you to be sure that the behavior will not occur.
    4. Add one more thing - no matter how tempting, one.
    5. If the behavior does not immediately present, and then runs for long enough to be sure he won't have the same problem
    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are responsible or the behavior presents

When the behavior shows up, you know the culprit... the last thing you have loaded.

If the behavior doesn't re-present, then you know that step 1 or 2 cured it.

If the behavior has anything, then you have probably a problem of material level for which no amount of OS or software can heal.

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

Only your warranty provider can answer this question for you. Everyone must respect all terms of warranty you received with your purchase (your contract, purchase, governs all), which can be less or more generous than those extending from the RIM. There might be a good read for you here:
