  Bruce - thanks. I'm not sure you've seen this, but I looked on the "Update" menu on my laptop and updated the application manager. Who did the trick. I opened the Camera Raw 9.1 download successfully and it was installing on my hard drive, but without the CS 6 update, it was not to find the right place to go. This issue is now resolved, and updated the latest watch information box.

  I intend to keep Windows 7.  However, I would like to take advantage of this free window 10 for some customers.  I intend to install windows 10 on a separate HD Windows 7 and have a system dual boot.  You will be able to provide a physical CD/DVD or a digital copy of Windows?  Or is it an UPGRADE of windows 7-online windows 10 ONLY.    Let me repeat that I still want to keep my windows 7 installation.  Thanks in advance for any help and or the answers that are provided.

  You will need to PURCHASE Windows 10 to do what you are thinking.

  'FREE' is a UPGRADE scenario.  You cannot use your license of Windows 7 anywhere-even on the same machine - in order to be legitimate.

  (This isn't an answer 'technically it won't work', it is a fact "you won't follow the EULA").

  If you want to keep your installation of Windows 7 on this computer and run a full RTM copy of Windows 10 licensed - you buy Windows 10 or update a license for another OS that is not related to another computer using the free update.  If you just want to run 10 Windows side-by-side (dualboot) Windows 7 on this system and that you don't care if you're permanently in 'test' mode: join the Insider program and continuously to get the latest updates/etc for Windows 10.

  Acrobat does not print using the PDF Converter.  I can print a PDF file on a conventional printer (not), but when you use printing > Adobe PDF as the printer selected, nothing happens. As a result, cannot make PDFs of web pages etc.  There is a problem reported by the AdobePDF.dll_64, during the installation.  I downloaded that separately and reached a complete reinstallation of 8 from Adobe, which previously worked perfectly on Vista.

  Because the Adobe PDF printer is not supported on 64-bit operating systems, version 64 bits of the AdobePDF.dll does not get extracted during installation. • New to LR, issues for installation

  I'm new to LR and am hoping to have a somewhat smooth installation without having to go back and redo / move things! I have a desktop PC (Win7) with an internal 128GB SSD for the OS and a second internal mechanical HD 1 TB for all the rest. I have a 2 TB external hard drive laptop and a desktop computer 3 TB external HD. My plan was to install LR5 (I have the CD in box) on the internal drive of OS 128 GB SSD and put the catalog and the original images on 2 TB external hard drive uses the external HD to 3 TB for all the backups...replacing/ permutation of the external HD as soon as they are full. However, as I have more research, I realize now that I saw folders, folders presets, ect... and a cache (?) camera raw and more. I would like to have everything stored on an external hard drive and be saved on the other external HD Seems, as I read that LR will be slow with the catalogue on hard drive external, but not sure I want is not stored on the HD internal 1 TB. Don't know how to do in this regard. Advice or suggestions? In addition, when the actual plant, besides the catalog, I have get asked where I want each of the various records of the preview and hiding, ect. to be stored?

  If find it is best to keep the previews in the same folder as the catalog.  I ignore the insights 1:1 on a regular basis so that the cache becomes too big. You can choose a setting based on your own workflow. Standard preview should be a dimension linked to the size of your screen.

  Parameters and pre-sets can be saved anywhere. I have mine stored in the creative cloud.

  This is what happens when I try to install the camera raw 6.7 in Windows 7.  All I have this problem and have found out how to fix it?  I tried to shut down the computer and restart, tried to re-download several times, no luck.  I was able to install the Adobe's DNG Converter from the same page on Adobe Labs without difficulty.  Any suggestions? The guys from my computer just lifted their hands and laughed at me... Laughing out loud.

  Try following the mentioned below as follows:

  (1) reboot your system

  (2) re - download the patch, unzip the hotfix installation program by using winzip or winrar

  (3) run the AdobePatchInstaller.exe to help by clicking on the right button of the mouse and choose Run as administrator.

  CONTEXT:

  • I have a creative cloud membership.* Update

  • I need to update 2014 CC Photoshop and Adobe Photoshop CC (also for Illustrator)

  • I don't have a Manager of Application CC any longer.  My application files show the former CC app and the uninstall application alias only.   Their removal has not helped

  PROBLEM:
  What is going on?  Using a new Installer of creative cloud to get a new Application CC Manager the blue download bar starts, but breaks away. I got the download from 51 percent bar once, but now it breaks to the top immediately.

  Photo below shows the top bar of the screen of the computer with a menu drop-down empty where the creative cloud should display a list of Adobe applications.

  

  What's not?

  The talk page has suggested something that still works.

  All I can call at Adobe?  Frustrating!

  Please, try these steps and see if it helps:

  1 force quit Adobe all processes in the activity monitor (for example, CC, Core sync, the broker CC library, Office, Adobe, Adobe CPI, demon Adobe Crash etc..)

  2-go to: Finder > Applications > utilities > Adobe installer > uninstall Adobe Creative cloud (if problems uninstall Trash)

  3-go to: Finder > Applications > utilities > (delete these two folders - creative cloud Adobe and Adobe Application Manager )

  4 - right click on the Finder icon, then select the "Go - To" folder. You will get a text box, type in the following command and then press the 'return '. ("Not to be missed ~ symbol")

  ~/Library (It will open the folder of the user's library.)

  5. browse to the Application Support > Adobe > trash folder OOBE and AAM Updater folder so

  6. new > right-click on the icon in the Finder and select "go to" folder option. > you will get a text box, type in the following command and then press the 'return '.

  7. browse to the Application Support > Adobe > trash folder OOBE and Adobe Application Manager / after that, rename the SL-STORE like SL-STORE_OLD

  10 - Make sure of course there is no other program security Internet enabled - if it is then go ahead and launch CC app and login and check (check your extensions as well id browser it disable any toolbar security or advertising, blocking of extensions you installed them)

  Adobe 11 - run cleanup tool. > If so, select "Adobe Application Manager for Mac OS X 10.6 ' and then click on"Clean up selected. "

• LR6 issues with interaction with camera

  Hello

  I just bought a new computer and joined LR6 by CC. Sometimes, when I connect my camera (Canon 5 d iii) and go to import is doing one of 3 things:

  1 will import normally

  2 show import of thumbnail images and then they disappear after a few seconds

  3 tiles stay in grid, but when I click on import, it is an error message (0-150 files etc. cannot be read)

  If I get this error message, I can sometimes go back in importing and manually select 2 or 3 pictures at once and sometimes they will import successfully. Sometimes that LR does not even recognize my camera as a source and I turn it works.

  When I connect my camera to my old computer and import the same photos in LR 5, there is no problem which tells me that it's not the camera, but more likely how it interacts with my camera or my new version of LR.

  My SD cards are probably more than a year, but I don't think that would be the question.

  Importing 200 photos is now taking me 2 hours instead of a few minutes!

  Can anyone help?

  Not the answer you want to hear, but you will be happier in the long run if you use a card reader instead of connecting the camera to the computer. Transfers are much faster and much less prone to errors.

  Again, not that useful, but I see a lot of messages on the cannon 5 3 cameras import problems.

  Possible solution:

  Check your records of destination for typos in names, and also with the Finder or Explorer to ensure that you have READ and WRITE access on the destination files.

  You cannot set DISPLAY when you use putty, so you need to use VNC.

  To run a quick installation, you need the correct DISPLAY see RapidWiz, and it would work with VNC (not with PuTTY). If you can set the DISPLAY is PuTTY (question xclock to check) then you can use (which I think is not possible).
