Symbol of trombone in Message Windows Mail

I used Vista Home Premium and windows Mail for more than 3 years.  The week last windows messaging stopped indicating that

a message had an attachment, the wat know is to use the reply, reply to all, or the options forwarde to see if he has

an attachment.  How to get back mail as it was?  The symbol of trombone went.

Ideally, you would never, EVER use system restore to 'Cancel' an update, Service Pack, or upgrade of IE! Instead, uninstall the update, Service Pack, or the IE patch & reboot. If that does not resolve the problem, then try System Restore.

At this point, it looks like Windows Mail & IE9 are incompatible so better stick with IE8.

QED: This incompatibility will address in the future? (I wouldn't hold my breath IIWY.)

Note: If you select Activate/tools | Options | Read | Read all messages in plain text <=this> , the 'trombone' should be displayed in the installed with IE9 preview pane. See http://answers.microsoft.com/thread/a4274c96-d44f-e011-8dfc-68b599b31bf5

    Hello Melissa,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple. I know have a problem with the appearance of your mail, it's not what you expect. As I understand it, you can't recover the messages view in Mail after dragging the separator bar all the way to hide the display of messages, and today shows only your message lists. Your screenshot really helped to visualize your question, and good news is that I was able to replicate and solve the problem with the following steps:

    1. go in Mail Mail > Preferences > display and check the box for the classic configuration to use.

    Preferences - help Mail display

2 close the Mail preferences window. Then click on the bar of separation of the messages at the bottom, as you point your screenshot.

    3. drag the splitter bar to halfway to the top of the screen and hold it there for a few seconds and release the click of the mouse until the messages view appears to the top. You will have to perhaps move the separator bar and go down a bit to get the message of pop display.

This means that there are more than a certain level of white space in your message store (usually this means that you have removed a number of items).

    Yes go ahead.

  • Cannot receive messages - Windows Mail

However, when I spam click the message, a dialog box appears that is labeled "Windows Security" and ask you a user name and password "Logon at home please verify that the user name and the password are correct for your mail server".

  • Windows Mail Archiving

Is it possible to copy the messages windows mail with or without attachments on a CD for archiving

For a readable CD backup messages:

Create a Windows folder on your desktop or elsewhere and then in WinMail open the folder that contains the messages you want to save. Highlight a message, and then Ctrl + A will highlight all (or Ctrl-button down while you select only messages you want), now, drag and drop them into the folder on your desktop.

Now you can copy this folder to a CD and you'll be able to read the messages on the CD by double-clicking them.

Don't remove Winmail until you are satisfied with the results.
