  I got a new iPhone 6s more yesterday.  I backed up my 5 seconds old before getting the new phone if I when I got the new phone I restored from the backup point.  I got my apps all downloaded, but my purchased music will not play.  It shows in my music but is grey.  When I type on a song it says not available article and this point can be read.  I went into the iTunes store and went to purchases and then items not on this device and try to download from there, but it keeps giving me an error message as well.  This one says unable to download songs and the song could not be downloaded right now.  I'm on wifi and also tried syncing it with my computer as well and who's not working either.  Please help because I'm extremely frustrated.  Thank you.

  IM pretty frustrated so I'm going to make this simple and easy for all who want to help me:

  I bought a new iphone. I wanted all of my old iphone info form to it.

  I had a recent backup copy of the former.

  Then I restored it. Somehow, not all items have been restored, and the error message appeared. Which is strange, because I'm not redownloading all items from the appstore, everything I do is infrormation transfer from my pc to my new iphone. That's how back ups work. So everything I had in my old phone should now be in the new. But none. Thank you Apple. Somehow your backup system does not work as it does?

  So, I could not get this an app it is super important to me (contains documents and data) in my new iphone.

  I made sure that the automatic downloads were both in my pc and phones.

  I have not provided any purchase where hidden (please stop hiding all of the Apple users)

  I also clicked on "transfer purchases" but... (apple thank you once again for this one), it seems that after 9 IOS apps will not sync or transfer to Itunes via transfer purchases (who bring many questions as is this feature useful at all? why he does not what the name suggests it is? why not delete it then?)

  So it took me to "Download latest purchases.

  My guess is that this app is no longer in the app store. But this isn't a problem because I have it in my old phone. I want to just transfer to my new phone now, not the appstore need as the app is already downloaded. Anyway, do not have be able to do it again.

  The reason why you can't find it is the app will not work on the current version of the iOS and the developer has decided to not update. You can use it on your old unit if you still have it. Or you can look for a substitute on the iTunes Store.

  I've been Sync photos from my MacBook Pro to my iPhone and iPad for several years without many problems, but since getting a new iPhone (model 6, currently running IOS 9.2) and upgrade an older iPad to IOS 9.2 also, sync does not work.  The MacBook is a 15-inch, mid-2012, 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7, running OS 10.10.5.  It has over 500GB capacity of the hot spare.  The iPhone has 48GB of available, and the iPhoto library, I am trying to sync used to mount on my old iPhone 3 g 16 GB.  I am running iTunes 12.3.2.35.  Preparation for synchronization pass by as it was, and I always sync "Selected pictures".  I don't use the Photos on a Mac app and I will not sync via iCloud (the iPhoto library is 68 GB).  I always sync through the method of attachment (USB - 30pin / lightning connector).

  The process arrives at "Step 4 of 5" and says "Import photos", then nothing else happens.  There is no error message.  I left during the night once and still nothing happens.  Does anyone have any suggestions what to try?  Of course I tried stop, restart etc etc.

  Congratulations on your new iPhone 6 s! I understand that you want to synchronize the restoration of post messages on your Mac Messages app to your iPhone 6 s. If these are the iMessages, your new device needs to load the entire conversation once you send or receive an iMessage from the recipient. SMS messages may not work in the same way, however, you can contact your operator for support with text messages.

  To continue to have your Mac with your iPhone SMS sync, don't forget to implement continuity with your new device.
  

  If you have an iPhone, the SMS that you send and receive on your iPhone may appear on your Mac, iPad, and iPod touch as well. You can then continue the conversation from any device is closer to you.

  Set up SMS and MMS messaging

  Use this feature with any Mac, iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch that satisfies the requirements of continuity system. Make sure that your devices are configured as follows:

  • Each device is connected to iCloud with the same Apple ID.

  iCloud music library has worked between my Mac, iPhone 6 and iPad Pro. However, it does not work on my new iPhone 7.

  When I try turn it off and on again, I do not get the merge or replace guest library that every site seems to say that I see. When I turn it on and open the music, I don't see any of the artists or songs or playlists that I added on my other devices. Occasionally (maybe 5 times), several full minutes after activating the iCloud music library, I get the error "iCloud music library can be activated. I tried using different wifi, using LTE networks and to connect it to my Mac. I tried to reboot the device when enabling/disabling iCloud music library. I also tried to use file > library > update to iCloud music library iTunes. I've been at this for about 4 hours now and am about to start rider on my hair. Any help is appreciated.

  Are you sure that you don't have a message indicating that the new phone could not use the old backup because the old backup contained a new version of the iOS the new phone has on it? You cannot restore a backup from a device running a newer iOS on a device with an older version of iOS on it. In this scenario, you must update the new phone to the latest version before you can use this backup.

  If the iPhone is running iOS 9.3.3 as indicated in your profile, install the 9.3.4 update.

  Tap Settings > general > software update

  Then try to synchronize your iCloud data.

  Also, when re download music, you must use the same Apple ID, music was purchased with.

  I just got a new iPhone 6 (iPhone previous 6a stopped working). My last backup was August 9, 2016, and I am sure that my old phone was using iOS 9.3.3 at about 99% backup time. They replaced the screen and my phone no longer works, so they ordered another who uses iOS 9.3.2. I tried to restore my backup, but I just get an error saying that it restore (no details). I suspect that this is because the software on my new phone isn't the most recent deployment, 9.3.4. If I upgrade the software on this new phone to 9.3.4, will be my (9.3.3) mosty likely to restore backup? I guess it boils down to this: a phone with older software can restore a backup that was created with the latest software of the iCloud?

  Can't say if it will be or will not be successful but you need to update the software on the new phone before you attempt a restore. You cannot restore a phone with the latest software, the phone restore you to the needs of the same software or later.
