syntax of command line for a .cmd file give share permissions
I am trying to create a .cmd file (or script) to create a user in a shared folder and set permissions for this new user.
.cmd file
net share newspapers-OracleG = G:\newfolderz\Logs-Oracle / unlimited * it seems to work very well
Subinacl /subdirectories G:\newfolderz\Logs-Oracle / * address email is removed from the privacy * = f * the window back 1:0, modified action result: 0, failed: 0, syntax errors: 0 when this works so do not think that anything good that happens.
I realize the subinacl command does not create the user, I guess I'm looking for a command to stay between the netshare and the subinacl do the creation of the user to the administrator.
any ideas appreciated.
Thank you
Jim

Create the command line for the Dump file without having to install additional tools
I should automate the creation of dump files. It must to be command line and without installing tools such as ProcDumpTechNet.Microsoft.com/Sysinternals/dd996900, minidump or similar. I think that it is not a solution but if someone can help me.

syntax of command line using windows 7 to find/select something in a new Explorer window
in a syntax of command line using windows 7 I would d a Search Explorer to find all the *.jpg and the command line syntax is cheating on me.
C:\Windows\explorer.exe/n, / e, e:\photos brings the folder but fine:
C:\Windows\explorer.exe/n, / e, e:\photos /name: *.jpg is not the choice I want - it starts an assignment of the Explorer in 'my documents '.
I do not need a full AQS syntax guide, only how to make the choice to work. Maybe the /name: is not the right word, is it / selection or/find or something else?
Thank you

Portege Z10T - documentation of command line for tinstallwb.exe (PVAT)
Does anyone have any documentation on the command line for tinstallwb.exe, or know the switch to enter these?
I have to do some recording during the installation.
We are the Z10t assessment and want to install the package Toshiba value added via SCCM during our deployment task sequence. I did the same thing for the Z930 successfully.
I use the latest version (1.6.0035.6406) of the PVAT.
After having extracted the contents of tc30573300f.exe, the command I use is 'tinstallwb.exe s - sms. While this works in my wrapper for vbscript, it fails during the actual deployment. If I could start recording, I could see what goes wrong.
I tried to install just \TVAP\TOSHIBA package.msi before value added, but even if that moved successfully, these sheets never appear when you press the Fn keys.
Any ideas?
Unfortunately, this isn t available documentation.
I also found advice to install the PPV from the command lineBut the package contains other files such as setup.exe or install.exe exe
Have you tested the installation, the use of these files? -

Is there a setting from command line for Windows Media Player?
Could someone tell me please in the right direction for a set of command line for wmplayer settings?
I use... .Wmplayer /play /playlist pA.wpl as an automatic start and play line RUN.
Player starts and displays a list of PA on the screen but does not play.
If I use... .Wmplayer /play /C:\name.mp3 then, it works very well.
Thank you
Brian TaylorFirst of all, /play is not a supported parameter, and you should not put a slash in front of the file names.
To launch WMP and let him play a playlist, simply specify the name of the file to the playlist on the command line, for example:
Wmplayer PA.wpl
The /playlist parameter is only for play playlists that are in the library and does not have a file name of playlist, but the * name * of the playlist in the library, without extension or directories.

I have some Vista virtual machines set up to perform specific tasks, then stop - these VMs run at specific times, as if a physical computer running, ran a task, then stop. I want to be able to automate the Vista updates without having to manually open each VM on a weekly basis. Are there options for command line for wuapp.exe so that I can program the virtual machine to turn on, install updates, and then click Stop again? Or y at - it another way to accomplish what I'm doing?

Is there a problem with Adobe Reader DC using the command line to open a file?
Hello
I am a developer and we use Adobe Reader to view our PDF help files in our application. For years, we used WinExec() to open Adobe Reader, by specifying the file to open on the command line and it has been working perfectly. In other words, upward until our users began to load Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. Despite this work very well when you type a command using CMD.exe, it simply does not help WinExec() from another application programmatically. Also, I modified the code to try using CreateProcess() or ShellExecute() and these functions do not work either.
It may have to do with the fact that there is a switch or a parameter now within the DC, but I don't know what it is, or why it happens. If anyone can shed some light on this it would be much appreciated because it severely hampers our latest version of the software.
Kind regards
Leigh.
A common cause is not to put quotes on the command line, so instead of
"c:\program files...\acrord32.exe" "c:\documents and settings\...my file.pdf.
You write
"c:\program files...\acrord32.exe" c:\documents and settings\...my file.PDF
This has always been bad, but older versions it would accept anyway. (It was a recent change but not in DC).
I would recommend using ShellExecute instead of the command line, however. That simulates a double-click and executes everything the user has created for PDFs (perhaps Reader, Acrobat maybe, maybe something else).

In bulk to rename files in a folder by using the DOS command line or a batch file.
Can someone help with this problem, please? I remember seeing the DOS command line to do a mass renaming of files in a folder or a batch file. for example, vacation photos are all in the format DSC00001.jpg to DSC001234 and I want to change it to something like, say, Rome0001.jpg to Rome1234.jpg.
How about this:Go to the folder of your files in that. Create a text file, and open it (Windows should use Notepad, that very well).in the file type:Ren dsc*.jpg rome*.jpgNow, save the file as:renamethem.bat(Make sure you call it ".bat" and save it as a txt document, which will make a simpel file and not add a strange formatting)From there, just double-click this file and it renames all your pictures accordingly.:)Old timer

Options command line for Windows 7 - root set of explorer.exe
I've seen the advice that the old syntax WinXP works but I can not put the root of the view. The desired folder appears but [in the left pane] all unwanted folders appear also [e.g., Favorites, libraries, all other folders for the user, network] which severely complicates the view, especially once I have develop subfolders in the folder desired. In Windows XP, the part of the root of the activated syntax look at a just the folder and its subfolders [so that the left pane just to show my documents in the left pane for example]. Simple representations of WinXP can be created in Win7?
Which is not clarified your original intention; I see now that you were recommending "the new paradigm" rather than offering a way to recreate the previous.
As for me, I only occasionally used far the paradigm of wire of Ariane and never as a total replacement for the navigation pane. I guess I'll have to turn off the pane for a while and see how the breadcrumbs affects my workflow. I've been very heavily dependent on the visual appearance of the component and be able to see the hierarchy and relationships... but on the technical information is also available in the bread crumbs, but not as visually complete. We'll see.
As an addendum, it is worth noting that, despite this overhaul two times you mentioned, Explorer still apparently accepts all the original XP - era command-line switches, as / root, even if they have no relevance and seem to be ignored. If the switches is nothing more do, then for gods sake why not to delete and generate a warning or polite error?

Cannot run business ruleset using the Launcher command line for the calculation Manager
Hello
I use the Hyperion 11.1.2.2 planning version. I am trying to execute a business rule defined via the calc Manager command line utility. Please see the order form below,
D:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\epmsystem1\Planning\planning1 > CalcMgrCmdLineLauncher.cmd /U:HBRadmin D:Capex /A:CORP S:Capex_Nightly
At the launch of the above command, the utility starts and ends without triggering the rule in the database. See log info below,
Local planning: en_US
using java.library.path: D:\Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1/products/Planning/lib64
EPM_ORACLE_HOME (D:\Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1) has the value of the property 'EPM_ORACLE_HOME' of the JVM.
using the property of Java for Hyperion home D:\Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1
For the non - RFP app, ask size is not necessary
EPM_ORACLE_INSTANCE (D:\oracle\Middleware\user_projects\epmsystem1) has the value of the [EPM_ORACLE_INSTANCE] property of the JVM.
Support RTC Essbase Version: 0xb1221

But if I try to execute a business rule with the calc Manager command-line utility, it works well. It is only rules base which poses problem. Please note that this set of rules is to have business rules that belong to a database that is Capex.
Any help on this request would be much appreciated. Please notify.
Thank you

Please ignore this request,

I installed VMware Player 6.0.1 on openSUSE 3.1 by using the serial number that I received with Fusion Professional 6.0.2.
Virtual machines spin if they are started through the user interface, but I would like first of all to them via command line.
Question: How can I start virtual machines from the command line? I've read that vmrun must do the job but I can't find this command.
Did a search on my system: no file vmrun lie.
Any idea where I get vmrun of?
Thanks for your help,
Fred
It is installed separately and is available under the tab drivers & tools of the VMware Player download page.
