  On a Toshiba Portege M700 with Windows XP, I get a BSOD with the following:

  There is no further information on what happened, it just says: a problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

  I don't know any specs on the system (processor, memory, ect) I was given this laptop from edge of my guy on the ground.  I searched and I can't find any info on this Stop error message.  It was not a new hardware or software installed on the laptop recently, other than a possible update of Windows, I'm not sure.

  Whenever the system is booted it shutsdown and the BSOD right before seeing the screen Ctrl Alt Del to log on.  I tried the Safe Mode, Mode safe mode with network and command prompt.  Each instance you get to the log in window, but when after entering my info and loggging stop immediately with the same BSOD.  I also tried the last good Config known with no luck.

  Also, the hard drive is encrypted so I can just shoot and get a backup of it before you try to reinstall the operating system.  I have not tried to repair windows, yet, I'm waiting to try other solutions if they are there.

  If anyone can point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it.  If you need any other information, just ask and I'll give you everything I can.

  If so, I would recommend running the CHKDSK command of it followed by the Enter key:

  CHKDSK C:/P

  When I tried to install the latest updates (24 November 2009) using update installs and closes down your Vista computer got as far as "Shutting Down", but does not yet - icon turns on the screen of teal'c circle (or whatever color that is) and there are some HD activity , but that's all. Vista (and the PC itself) was working fine up until this point.

  Step 2: Reset the Windows Update components

  You will need to maybe reset the Windows Update components, download the Microsoft fix - it from the link and run the wizard that automatically resets the windows update components, if it does not, I recommend that reset you manually update windows components from the link:

  Looks like they are on a lower layer. You can find them in the layers panel and drag them to the top layer. BTW, you seem to have a lot of layers it is something this simple.

• VMWare Player "stuck" in the quick install mode

  I installed a version of Windows 7 on a virtual machine using Easy Install.  It was the first time, I installed Windows 7 and I am deploying as a virtual machine before using it as a replacement for Windows XP.  As I know, the installation is complete.  Windows come with information that need activation and everything seems to work very well.  However, now want to install VMWare Tools, I get a dialog box informing me that VMware Tools cannot be started manually while Easy Install is in progress.

  Any ideas how to fix this or should I build a new virtual machine without using quick installation?

  The Easy Install function does not always end upward with what you expect. Installing Windows 7 shows the right edition?

  To overcome the message, change the settings of the virtual machine and detach the virtual disk (and remove the autoinst.flp from the folder of the virtual machine).

  One of these beauties very recently for a price cut bought from an official dealer because she had been in for repair at Acer.

  It really works very well but it is a big trouble which I assume is a test mode factory than anyone repaired he forgot to turn off. The monitor goes from being full black/red/green/blue/white looping all the time, except if the computer is running, and I don't think it can go in mode 'sleep' either - when I turn it on the screen just instantly appear, no logo or anything (I have another one of these aswell of monitors to compare to).

  So my question is... How can I turn off this test mode factory? I'm guessing it's little order 'hidden' I need to press the menu buttons or something like that. I tried my best Googling but found nothing that worked for this monitor in particular

  Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  Is this a popup saying that "this device did not support upward to...» ' ? If it's that have you tried a soft-reset/reboot: press and hold buttons sleep and home for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the "slide to power off" if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear and the iPad should restart.

  Given that you cropped the image, I have to ask. The pane in what folders should appear seems to be present. You say that it's completely empty? Not even a single entry?

  Restart Thunderbird in the Help menu with the disabled modules and see if that solves the problem.

  Then, open the profile folder (there is a button in the troubleshooting information in the Help menu to do it.) close Thunderbird and delete or rename the files to panacea.dat ANDS foldertree.json

  If who disobeys, repeat and delete the session.json file. The first two are simply cache files. The last one contains some parameters of the interface as the reading pane is enabled or disabled and what tabs are open. Really, I don't think that it is an issue, but that he loss of settings is only slightly inconvenient if the other two don't work.

• Audio Surround Sound System

  Hi all.

  I develop an audio system cockpit of flight 3D to run speech recognition applications. My problem is this: I want to be able to output sound to each stakeholder in the SRS 7.1 individually. In other words, I need to extrapolate on the code that generates the sound output to the left or right of a computer enclosure. I developed a LV code that will do, but when I try to take it to the level following a 7.1 system, I get nothing from beyond the first two speakers. I have notinced that channels detected by the function "Sound File Info" is only two, even if I put the vi "configure the sound output" to seven. I should also mention that the PC sound card provides the output to the surround sound system via a one / audiovisual receiver. Anyone can do the somelight on how I can get the code to see more than two channels and start sound ouputing to each speaker, one at a time? I would really appreciate the help. I also attached the vi that I worked on. Thank you.

  I looked at your code and I was able to get a third speaker to give the output when using a multichannel wave file. I'll make sure that you use a .wav file that has more than two channels in order to get output for speakers spent the first two.
