  I am trying to understand if the power supply on my hp is bad or not. The green light on the back of the Tower flashes and the computer does not illuminate.   Hi Rhonda, there.

  I would suggest to unplug the power cord from the printer without turning it off with the switch, it will do a reset without getting rid of all the parameters. You simply leave unplugged for about 1-2 minutes to clear out any power.

  I recommend then reconnect, and doing as much as you can from the guide below:
