  What mean of these messages, is that these "Firmware updates" do not apply to material in your specific computer. The two "Seagate Firmware Updates" are respectively for the hard drives of 250 GB / 320 GB and 500/750 GB hard drives. Your computer comes with a 1 TB hard drive, which is not subject to updates of the firmware. The "PLDS Optical Drive Update" is for another drive to CD/DVD only installed in your computer and also does not apply. There is no further action to take...   Yesterday, I downloaded the update sp40966 on the site of HP support and installed without problems or errors! I now drive HP26 firmware version on my Seagate 750 GB drive.
