T400 unknown device in Device Manager

I just replaced the hard drive with a new one. I reinstalled all the software; However, I can't find the software needed to correct the error. I downloaded the power manager and the TRM software, but the problem remains. I am running XP Pro with SP3 32 bit. The listed software States that it is for SP2, not 3. Maybe that's the problem. I can't find anything 'new' in the database of the company. In addition to this a mistake everything is loaded and works very well. My computer is a TPU-7417.

  • P 8470 & HP HP 8440 P: upgrading to W10 Pro 64 bit / device Reporting - unknown device manager

    I have recently upgraded to Windows Pro 64-bit 10.  Machines involved are - 8440p & 8470p running W7 Pro 64-bit.

    The Device Manager shows an unknown device - ACPI\HPQ6000\3 & 33FD14CA & 0.

Could someone tell me what this is in reference to.  Perhaps point to a driver that I could update.

    Thank you / / Jeff

    You are the very welcome.

The reason why you don't see the driver is because most of the drivers are missing in support pages, which have not worked directly for HP split into 2 companies from 1 August.

This is certainly the driver you need.  If the version of W7 works, I can't say.

    See if it works.

    FTP://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp59001-59500/sp59282.exe

If this driver does the same thing...

Go to Device Manager and click on the unknown device of 6000 who need pilots.

Click on the driver tab, click on set to update driver.  Select her browse my computer for driver software option, then at the bottom of this window, let pick me from a list of drivers for devices on my computer.

Click on disk and go to C:\SWSetup\sp59282\accelerometer and select the HP Mobile Data Protection sensor and see if the pilot goes like this.

Here's a partial copy and paste of the accelerometer installation information file.

As you can see the device is supported by the driver.

But it's the most recent driver is there, I know.

    [Manufacturer]
    Mfg % = HP, ntamd64

    [HP.ntamd64]
    DeviceDesc % = HPAccelerometerDriverInstall.ntamd64, ACPI\HPQ6000

  • Portege M200 - device unknown in Device Manager

I did a clean install of Windows XP on my toshiba portege m200 (Tablet). I have most of the devices drivers installed, but there is one that I can't understand. The device manager says I have an "unknown device" on my "Intel 82801 dbm lpc interface controller.

What is it? I thought it was the chip set, but I had installed the Intel chipset drivers (twice, just to make sure that I really did), but it still reads as 'unknown device' on ' Intel (r) 82801DBM LPC Interface Controller - 24CC.

To resolve this issue go to the device, right click on the unknown device, Manager and then select set to update driver.
When the Hardware Update Wizard appears, select the advanced option.
From the next window, select the 'don't search. I will choose the driver' option
Now, go to the Intel announcement and select good "82801DBM LPC Interface Controller - 24CC.
Click OK and now it should work.

Also, be sure you have all the drivers installed from Toshiba Web site:

  • Re: Satellite 5200 701: unknown device in Device Manager.

    Hello.

It WinXP Pro + SP 3.
In the display devices, such as an unknown device manager. Try all of the pilots, who were on a disc with the laptop, nothing helps. Give the solution!

I still use Windows XP Home with Service Pack 2 and I'm really happy with it. If you have some problems with SP3 remove and continue to use Windows XP Home with Service Pack 2 only. Satellite 5200 is quite old but very nice laptop. Make sure that the laptop works fine with SP2 and you have an application of good-antivir.

Simply to operate Satellite 5200. I noticed that many people have reported on various issues after installing SP3. Exactly the same thing with Vista SP1.

  • Unknown device on the Satellite A100-153, after BIOS update to 5.1

    ACPI\TOS1901 * TOS1901<--- this="" is="" the="" unknown="" device="" after="" bios="" update="" to="" 5.10="" on="" my="" satellite="" a100-153="">

Vista now shows it in as unknown device manager; the TOS1900 showed up too, but after installation of Toshiba Value Pack for Vista, it went.

    Help, please. WHICH IS: ACPI\TOS1901 * TOS1901

    Hello

ACPI-> Advanced Configuration and Power Interface
ACPI defines hardware and software interfaces that allow focus on the OS configuration and power management to enumerate and configure motherboard devices.
For example: ACPI is necessary for the standby and hibernation mode.

Now your question; the new BIOS has been updated and configured to using VISTA.
It seems that VISTA was not compatible with the previous version of BIOS because the ACPI interface. Now you can install Vista on the laptop, but it seems that you need a driver. Possibly new chipset driver version might help. But as you probably know, the drivers are not available at this time. Unfortunately

    Hi guys!

I bought the Satellite L650-1NC. After installing the system, everything is ok, but no wireless card. I downloaded the latest drivers from Toshiba and manufacturer sites. After you have installed the latest drivers for the wireless card disappeared from the Device Manager! Connection via cable, works without problem. Exhausted all ideas. Help, please.
    Operating system: Windows 7 64-bit
Wireless card: Realtek Wireless LAN adapter 8191SE/8192SE

    PS. Sorry for my English

    Hey,.

The WLAN card is listed in the device as unknown device manager or it is completely gone?

It's probably happened due bad installation driver in your case, I recommend removing all WLAN drivers and run CCleaner tool to clean the registry. Then download & install the latest official Portal WLAN WLAN drivers:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

Also, make sure that the wireless network adapter is enabled. This can be done with the FN + F8 key combination.

  • 4 "other unknown devices" in Device Manager. Windows 7 RTM 64 dv7 1450

Just bought a computer HP dv7-1450 laptop with AMD Turion X 2 64 processors. Installed Windows 7 RTM 64 and everything seems to work except there are 4 unknown "other devices" listed in Device Manager. The 4 devices are:

    -System base unit (x 3)

    -Unknown Device (x 1)

I have no idea what are these devices. I tried looking for drivers for chipset on the AMD and HP Web site without result. But I do not know if these are the associated chipsets. One of the devices would be the disk fall sensor hard (it does not appear in the device no matter where Manager)?

Unfortunately on the HP site, there are not many downloads of drivers available for the 64-bit (Vista). I know that Windows 7 64 drivers won't be available until in October, but if there are not any available Vista drivers either, I expect to see all the drivers for Windows 7?

The most important thing for me is just to know what are these "other devices" 4 and get the drivers installed.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Unknown devices in device Windows 7 Manager - dv7-2170us

    I have a laptop dv7-2170us.

I did a clean install with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

I used the drivers for this model of laptop on HP's site.

I get a few unknown devices in Device Manager.

I tried to uninstall the device and re - install to allow Windows to re - detect but no drivers are found.  See the pictures below, what devices could they maybe refer to?

I have all the necessary drivers load that I know and I installed a driver who looked valid on the site of HP drivers.

EDIT: Everything works!  Thanks for the tip of Daniel.  I googled how to identify the ID of material and is here with this site http://www.pcidatabase.com/ , punch in the device id and bam, it IS the card reader.  Weird because it worked perfectly.  But I downloaded the driver even re-installed and this solved the problem.

    =============================================

I tried the Intel Chipset utility, did not work. However, here is the hardware id:

If you look closely, you will notice that each of these devices are in fact different.

  • Satellite L300 PSLBGE - unknown device in Device Manager

    Hello!

I would be very grateful for any help/tips if anyone has an idea what to do...

My friend has the laptop mentioned above (w/o OS preinstalled) and we can't get the graphics card work properly - situation is the following

    (1) mobile intel 4 series express chipset family, and an unknown device with an exclamation mark in Device Manager
    (2) both are on the same PCI BUS 0, device 2?
    (3) intel does not work because there is no free resources (I should remove the unknown device?) to work with
    (4) HW ID for the unknown device is pci ven_8086 & dev_2A43 and intel pci ven_8086 & dev_2A42 (so basically the same, right?)
    (5) Finally, and most importantly, if I go to the desktop-customize-advanced (first of all no resolution 1280 * 800) I see under adapter type:. Exactly, nothing... under properties, it appears: device not plug and play, Super VGA and under driver, I see just the status and the ability to stop, off, automatic, ask... the device at startup... If I turn it off, the screen just does not shine when the laptop is turned on...
    Any ideas? I'm insaneeeeee...

Vista Home Premium, all other Toshiba SW installed (value pack, intel BIOS 1.9, etc. - maybe the BIOS did it?)

    Thanks in advance!

PS maybe SP1 I now install help?

    Hello

Wait a minute: I checked the Vendor ID and Device ID on www.pcidatabase.com and this is the graphics card Intel. So I think that's the reason why you can t change the resolution of the screen.

I guess you forgot to install the display driver. See the Web from Toshiba site because here you can download the driver:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

After that you should t have no exclamation point.

You can install SP1 for Vista, but that does not solve the problem with the missing display driver. But you should install it because it contains a lot of updates to security, they are important. In addition, I recommend to install SP2 for Vista.

    Good bye

  • Satellite Pro U300 - 2 unknown devices in XP Device Manager

Just installed XP on a U300, I downloaded all the drivers from the Web site.
Now I have 2 unknown devices! Any ideas of what it could be?

    Thank you.

One could be the unknown PCI memory manager.
This PCI memory controller is Intel Turbo Memory, also called logic chip cache Flash Intel.
It is a new technology designed to support the new features of Vista.
There is no driver for Windows XP because XP doesn t supports the cache feature. Vista only supports this!

I don't know what could be the other unknown device. Check just what features don't run and you'll know what it is!

    Hello

Would it be possible that the 3rd party software that you have installed to use the USB ports has tangled up the whole system?

The driver for the unknown device that appear in Device Manager can be identified very easily.

    I recommend this HowTo:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/Ann.jspa?annID=78

You have the Vendor ID and the device ID and the use of these two IDS in pci database would help you to find the right driver.

By the way: If your Wlan and cam n t work, install the drivers matrix, you've already tried this?

  • Satellite A200-1The - peripheral unknown in Device Manager

I have the suite listed under question marks in my device manager:

    ? Multimedia controller
    ? Network controller
    ? Unknown device

I installed the sound and it works
I installed the network card and it works

    What are the above devices?

Stand by. Which operating system you are trying to configure?

Have you checked on the Toshiba download section if the installations Instructions document is available? If you follow this document you will install everything you need and everything will be OK.
Anyway, multimedia controller can be peripheral multicard reader, network controller is probably wireless card. I can't say what unknown device because I know not what drivers you have installed.
