T410i DisplayPort to HDMI LCD TV does not

Hi all - I just had a DisplayPort to HDMI cable and try to plug it up to our RCA LCD HDTV and get an error 'No Signal!"on TV - and I tried on another new Insignia TV with the same result.

I am running Windows 7.

Is there a way to test if the modem is not working properly? Or do I have to do something special to make it pump display on the TV? I have also tried to treat TV as a projector and a second monitor with no luck.

Thanks in advance!

Eric

There was a previous discussion about this problem and the problem of working on the video but not the audio. I know that's not the symptom, you have, but I suspect the adapter, assuming that you don't have the latest version of the video driver on your computer.

I bought an adapter that only adopted Monoprice video, not audio, between my T410 (with NVidia graphics card) and my LCD Samsung TV, despite no mention of this limitation. The possible solution for me, at least, was to buy the sold adapter by NVidia, made by Bizlink, who works for video and audio. The lesson is that these things are not as simple as<-->DVI, HDMI adapters, and you can't assume that they work with every PC and every TV.

I suggest to get the product from NVidia. Part number 030-0224-000, Bizlink PN: KS10006-A07

  • Alienware M17x-r2 - LCD turn does not on

Hi I opened the laptop using the maintenance manual to clean the radiators to the GPU and the CPU. I also removed and reapplied thermal paste. I have remove the display cable and the cable from camera to the motherboard. I reassembled everything and everything seems to work very well, but I have been using an external monitor via HDMI only. I just opened the laptop screen but it won't turn. The webcam still seem to work. I took apart and reinstall the time of 3 or 4 display cable, but not luck. External screen works fine, but it does not detect the laptop screen. any suggestions that I could try? I don't think it came out behind the LCD. I never took off the screen or pulsed on the cables to make it to detach. Thank you.

It's the cable or the LCD screen. There is no way to know with certainty what one it is until at least one of them is replaced.

  • Equium A100-147 - Native resolution on the external LCD display does not work

    Hello

My Equium A100-147 has 1 VGA and 1 S-Video output, so I use the VGA output on an external LCD monitor with a native resolution of 1680x1050@60hz, but integrated graphics Intel 945 card doesn t give me the correct resolution to choose for this monitor, the closest is 1600 x 1200 and some weird widescreen resolutions other that make my monitor see the scaling an ugly picture.

So I tested another external monitor with a native resolution of 1920 x 1200 resolution closest gave me Intel drivers is 1920 x 1080, even the installation of two drivers of monitors, remove and reinstall the driver and same formatting the machine and reinstall everything from scratch gave no different results.

I have another laptop MSI Wind with the same graphic card built in and the same version of the pilot, and the laptop detects both the monitor and the good resolutions for them, this isn't a problem of Monitor driver.

Seems to me that is a problem with the S-video output, which makes this mess, but there is no way to disable it in the BIOS or any other place in Device Manager I still seem.

Can someone give me some advice for what can do?
    Thank you!

    Hello

You cannot choose the preferred resolution because the graphics chip does not support this external resolution or the installed graphics driver is not contained in this resolution. The two cases are possible.

If you want to know if your graphic chip supports this resolution and then take a look at the user manual and check it.

If the chip of the graphics card would support this resolution and you will not be able to choose, then that would mean that the graphics driver does not support this resolution.

But first he must find out what external resolutions are supported by the GPU.

  • HP Envy 23: HDMI in button does not work in Windows 10

After the upgrade to Windows 10, the button used to display HDMI no longer works on my HP Envy 23

I had this same problem, except on the 27xt, which is the version 27 "the envy of HP TouchSmart. It is same as the 23 '' only bigger. I called HP who told me to call Microsoft, which, after an hour of Remote Desktop new installation graphic drivers and who does not, told me to call HP.

So, I googled the problem and found this thread on this forum and I am so glad that I did. Hpuser30 is quite right, except that I found a method even easier for fixing.

I went to my local BestBuy store which sells version 23 "and I plugged a flash drive, I brought home, in the USB 3.0 port on the side of the screen. Then I went on the c:\ drive and found their SWSETUP folder, and I "copied" the entire folder on my flash drive. Their machine works perfectly in Windows 10, so I felt confident that this could work. I went home and opened the SWSETUP folder on my computer and I tried MyHPDisplayOSD and I found the folder named the same thing. Inside this folder is a file called HP_My_Display_2.08.020_Setup.exe.

I tried to launch the file but it said I couldn't, because I already had a newer version. That was the problem in the first place. Microsoft or HP had updated the driver to one that is no longer recognize the HDMI port or button.

And I went to control panel configuration then programs and I uninstalled my HP device, requiring a reboot. Then I installed the Setup file on the Flash drive, I got the computer to BeatBuy. I didn't even have to reboot. I just pressed the button HDMI IN and it worked perfectly, the way it is supposed to.

The version store is 23 "and mine is a 27". The store had 10 Windows Home and I have Windows 10 Pro, but the HP_My_Display_2.08.020_Setup.exe works on both.

So, it isn't the graphics driver and is not the button or port, is this HP My Display driver. The solution is really as simple as that. Now, I have to see if Microsoft or HP update again and it mess... Once again. If they do, at least I know how to fix it.

  • Display (LCD & external) does not

    Hello

I have a HP NC6400, who gave me a service of quality for many years. Recently the LCD edge and external screens have stopped working. At the start, they will be flashing for a while but then the external screen goes black and the on-board LCD is very dull. It began as an intermittent problem that can often be resolved with a reboot, but now it is persistent.

Read, many of these responsed here, I thought that it could be the inverter, but in all cases it would appear that the external display was still working. The external screen does not work on my system to be connected directly or via a docking station.

    Reflections?

It turns out that both the interal displays and the external screen were defective (separate defects). I have fixed an in-house with a new inverter. I have replace the external display.

  • My Port HDMI graphics card does not!

    I have the alienware x 51 with

    15 - 3.00 ghz

    graphics card-geforce gtx 645

    8 GB RAM

What happens is when I turned on the computer, the system starts, but there is no display.

I changed the onboard HDMI port hdmi cable and screen then comes. In the BIOS settings, the main display is discreet. Can someone help me?

    Try to update the BIOS.

So again, it does not solve the issue. I open the computer, remove the video card. Give him some dust removal and replace in.

Then check in the BIOS if it always shows the main screen as discrete.

  • HDMI port/switch does not

I just got my HP Envy tilt 23-k011 and work on getting, he was put in place last night. I tried some of the features and tried hang both my XBox and a cable box (not simultaneously) to the HDMI in port on the lower left side of the screen. Have been recognized. I turned both on and outside sources. I have enabled the button under the screen that says it is supposed to switch the PC to the external video source and nothing no matter how many times I pushed or how long I held in there.

I have updated the drivers for two video cards integrated and dedicated. I rebooted several times. I tried to download a driver of hp pip, but it is not compatible with my model.

I can't find the settings for the display or graphics that refer to external sources to go to. I can't even figure out it's a hardware or software problem.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

the solution for me was to:

Press the windows key and type 'hp my display'

Now your hdmi button should work.

to make this permanent is restarted, go to the tab the hp my display UI options and check "run as the system starts.

(I don't know why there are so many messages on this and suggested that not a single representative of HP)

  • I tried to connect via / DVI to hdmi and it does not wrk

If I have vga and dvi on my screen but only vga on my computer is - it say that I did not compatible computer to run hdmi to my screen?

    Hi lastace,

If your vga port is blue, this means that it is a D - Sub connection.

With D - Sub, you can buy a connector which can convert the output D - Sub to DVI, but unfortunately, not HDMI.

So in your case, you can connect your monitor via D - Sub (VGA) or DVI but not HDMI unless you have a HDMI port your

laptop. Sorry I couldn't give you good news.

    I hope this helps!

  • P2314H, LCD conditioning does not seem to work

    Hello

for 3 days I am owner of all new monitor Dell P2314H. When I play videos full hd on youtube there is a lag. For example, the following video. I read that I have LCD conditioning feature, which fixes some problems, but it doesn't seem to work. I started LCD conditioning several times - each with duration over 4 hours and it show me - "LCD Conditioning is currently underway," so a stopped status manually.

My operating system is Ubuntu Linux 14.10 having the following characteristics:

    • Intel Core i7-3630QM CPU @ 2.40 GHz x 8
    • Graphics card: GeForce GTX 660 M/PCIe/SSE2

I also tried on the laptop with OS Windows 8.1 friend (I installed the monitor drivers), but the problem still persists. Any ideas? Thanks in advance,

    Jordan

"My expectation is to have the success message after the LCD conditioning process is done."

Nope. Your wait is incorrect. This isn't how it is designed.

I just tested LCD Conditioning on three different models of the monitor Dell (U3011, 2407WFP, S2740L). None of them had a downtime for the conditioning of the LCD. You had to press a monitor button to stop it. There is nothing wrong with this monitor.

  • E6400 w/NVS160M Displayport does not?

As I listed a new E6400 with the updated display adapter NVS160M (Express). I also have the displayport to HDMI cable. When I use this cable, the laptop will not see the external display (TV). I tried the setting after setting, etc. Nothing will get the laptop to see that there is something in relation to the displayport connection. The screen does not detect the video card and it may even force to detect the screen.

Now... when I connect the TV via the VGA port, everything works fine. The laptop sees the TV and the video card recognizes the type of the TV model.

So... suggestions? Am I a laptop connection wrong displayport on my new computer? Maybe a bad displayport to HDMI Cable? Or something else to try I do not, thanks. ((All connections have been checked and rechecked and are all secure and tight and the laptop has been restarted several times already))
