T420 Raid Driver issues

Hello

I have a PowerEdge T420 that I am trying to install Win2012 R2 - completely empty, yet had no operating system.  During installation, Windows cannot find the hard drives to the target.  What is expected, and I saw it on other systems before.  The solution has been to provide the drivers for the internal Raid Controller, which then allows me to set up the installation.

Unfortunately, I have tried all the entries "Driver" under SAS RAID on this list:

www.Dell.com/.../drivers

But unfortunately, none of them are up: whenever I insert the CD with them, the installer says there is no signed the disk drivers.

So what do I do next?  It's a T420 and all the berries have readers, and they are supposed to be a RAID.  Don't know what else to do.

Thank you

M.

EDIT: I also tried the "drivers for OS deployment.  No luck.

What RAID controller the drives are connected to? Server R2 2012 should have drivers for all RAID controllers in a T420 except the S110. Know also that H710 RAID REQUIRES to be configured and initialized BEFORE that Windows can see all disks (it does NOT support non-RAID).

    Hi MightyMouse,

As you said, if you can't load the drivers or get the disk to spin there is a hardware conflict / issue. To solve, you can contact the manufacturer or try a BIOS update. If you have any other questions please let us know.

  • Tecra S3 - need SATA / RAID driver for installing Windows XP Home edition

I'm doing a new installation of windows xp on a Toshiba Tecra S3 model PTS30E-0DT03FDU
Who knows where to find the RAID driver to load when you start the installation of xp?

This model no longer appears in the driver download section.

Of course, it is listed by download, but the older models are listed in the ARCHIVES.

Please visit the download page for Toshiba - http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp - once again and the slot type of product choose Archive.

For Windows XP Home edition, you will find RAID driver for download.
    Can find you it?

  • Need Tecra S3 Raid driver for VISTA

I "find many drivers to install vista on TECRA S3, but not the DIVER of RAID. It is essential to install vista. Can anyone help?
    Thanks Mike

Perhaps Vista has not the RAID driver? Installing XP on a newer machine, I mean that you need to load some drivers, but not under Vista.

Did you already installed Vista on your computer?

    Hello!

Have you ever tried the Vista driver? If this isn't the case, you need to test, because most of the Vista drivers are also work on Windows 7.

  • Windows 7 can't detect the TOSHIBA Portege M400 RAID driver

I put to level my M400 tablet from Windows XP to Windows 7.

Questions of compatibility check out, all right. In research I realized I needed to upgrade the RAID driver to a version of Win7. So I downloaded which, from my external hard drive to install to Win7, and installing Win7 can't find it. I tried the same thing with a variant of Vista with no luck. Even through the installation on the hard drive itself, nothing happened. Impossible to get in the tio silent run command prompt, absolutely nothing. I'm back where I throw this computer out of my 4th story window.

    Any help please?

    Hello

Where did you download the RAID driver?
Please try to download the RAID driver on the Toshiba site directly. These drivers are pre-tested and should work on your laptop too.

The older Portege M400 taken Windows 7 isn't supported so in the worst case, you can t use it.
But normally the drivers should work on Vista so make sure you are using the correct driver.

  • Portege M400: Installtion Windows - cannot install the RAID driver

    Hello world
I installed my original form of the system DVD Toshiba (60 GB partition).
So, I bought the second system with my notebook (Windows XP Pro OEM PL) and I want to install it on my second partition. When installing WinXP installer asked me about RAID driver on drive A: (I USB floppy drive, so it's no problem)... next step - partitioning - no problem. But when Windows starts to copy files (after select and format partition), ask again on RAID driver disk A: - and that is the problem, because my floppy drive is not present (maybe disable it windows after formatting the partition, I don't know)...
    There is also no results:
-J' tried to install Windows on USB HDD, but there are blue screen after the first reboot,.
-J' have tried to compile the RAID driver in driver.cab, this does not (or I did wrong).
Someone has an idea how to install my second system? It is OEM, and I don't want to lose him.
.. Sorry for my poor English :)...

    Hello

After installing the driver RAID you should not make any partition or format the HARD drive.
If you do this, the RAID driver is deleted and you will get an error.

So do all the changes on the HARD disk before you install the RAID driver.

  • Qosmio G30 - Question on the Raid driver

Do I really need this driver to use RAID functions? If its set in BIOS, what makes the pilot actually do? outside you give health statistics?

    See you soon

Yes, you need the RAID driver.
I think that the Qosmio G30 has been designed with the RAID feature as some units of the G20.
Without this RAID driver, you will not be able to install the OS because the OS Setup may not recognize the HARD drive.

    RAID uses two options:
RAID 0 (Striping): two hard disks are used as a big drive, if a HARD disk fails all data is lost
RAID-1 (Mirroring): hard drives contain the same data if a disk fails, data is not lost

I think you could check this announcement and also use the advanced search to forum for more results on RAID.

In the user manual, you will also find lots of info on RAID

  • Qosmio G30-145: WinXP and RAID driver - no response

I did everything that is needed for the installation of windows xp for Qosmio G30-145.

Installation process is as a result: as in http://support.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB56012H0001R01.htm and that worked, but during the installation of windows has started, you will be asked once more (first time I did format and second time that I did ' t format HARD drive): "INSERT THE DISK LABELLED"TOSHIBA RAID DRIVER"in the A: drive... "Press on enter when ready '- but no reaction... SOLUTION!

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

According to the Toshiba page suggested when installing Windows using to partition or format the HARD drive, the RAID driver is deleted in the process. This causes the shot the next time that the machine start-up.
To avoid this, perform a partitioning and formatting before you run the manual installation of Windows.
This behavior is not displayed during the installation of Windows XP with SP2 integrated

Well, perhaps, you need a CD OS Win SP2 integrated?

But why you do not use the recovery CD Toshiba delivered?
On this CD, all drivers are preinstalled and you only need to install the OS from the recovery CD. All should work properly.

PS: Just for the record: in the BIOS, you should find an option to disable (or change) the RAID.

  • Question about the V1.3.8.0 Raid driver update

    Hello.
Can someone tell me what are the advantages of doing an update of the RAID Toshiba Windows XP MCE 1.3.8.0 driver or what case?

Also had another problem... I tried to install the driver for interim relief and he made a mistake... my version of raid is always the one I had before and couldn t install this version.
    Any help would be cool.
    Thank you

As far as I know the RAID driver must be installed at the begging of the installation of the OS.
Unfortunately there is no any official documents about the correctional system and the benefits of updates.
But I think that the new driver could be compatible with more motherboards and controller.

  • How to install Windows Vista on the Qosmio G35-Av600 RAID driver?

I have Windows Vista Home Preminm upgraded Pakage. When I start the installation process, the installation program ask Toshiba Raid Driver. So I click the button to load a driver and choose the folder where the driver is located, as mentioned on the guide, but said configuration there is no driver found for this player.

What is the reason and what is the solution?

    Hello

Have you chosen the right RAID driver?
It seems that this laptop Qosmio was designed for the American market and therefore, you need to download the driver to the US page:

    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/Su/su_sc_home.jsp

It is specially designed RAID driver for Vista. At that time its version 1.10.0016 .
Please note that you will need to extract this file prior to installing the RAID driver!

I insert a memory stick with drivers from the download page of Tosh (selection of laptop |) Portege | Portege M series | Portege M400 (3G) | PPM41E | Windows XP Tablet Edition | RAID driver, which seems to accurately describe my machine), but the installer just give you the message: no signed device not found driver. Hello!

Drivers Windows XP don t work on Windows 7's the reason why you can t install Windows 7 successfully.

You should try it with Vista driver again. The Vista drivers are also work on Windows 7. I think that's all you can do at the moment.

    Good luck! :)

  • Pavilion Elite m9500z raid driver windows 7

I upgraded my Pavillion Elete m9500z to windows 7. Worked very well. Update of Windows has loaded a new driver for the video card. The pilot hangs the system, the blue screen. I tried to go back to the previous driver and the system still crashes. I tried a system restore point with no luck. Finally, I tried starting problems resolution and makes things worse. System boots to the point just before the login screen. Remains black with the cursor, even in safe mode.

At this point, I amtrying to fix the installation with the windows installation disc. The problem is that the boot drive is a raid drive. The installation disc can not see the drive without the driver. HP drivers are exe only files not the driver files. Motherboard MSI website has no drivers because the jury is the property of HP.

I need the drivers in a format that windows will recognize or a method of extracting files from the installer of HP.

Yet once it shouldn't be this difficult.

    Help, please

These drivers failed with the same error. Finally, I converted the RAID drives to AHIC and they have been recognized by windows. The problem with the system was caused by the video card. Windows was unable to complete the repair process and the system is in place again.

    Thanks for your help.

  • Dell Inspiron 1721 Win 7 ultimate upgrade on Vista ultimate. ATI Raid driver problems.

I install Win 7 Ultimate on Windows Vista Ultimate Edition for my sister.  Although I am appalled by his duty to pay 200 more of the money it has paid to buy Vista Ultimate (for which she won Bitlocker and the possibility to join the areas, I have the following problem: she has a lot to gain a little and there are still problems in the installation of the OS.)  It would be good, at least, since it paid the price to have copies of the disks him were sent and more download (which I work with)

I am trying to install the upgrade from 32-bit to Windows 7 on my laptop Dell Inspiron 1721 and I get an error that says I need to update my ATI AHCI Compatible RAID Driver. I went into the device drivers update as described in the instructions and tried to update the driver but it says I have the latest version of the driver for it. So I tried to restart my laptop and represented the upgrade installation and received the same error message.

Can you advise me on how to solve the problem.  She has spent a lot of money and, at least, deserves to make it work!

    Hello

You should check with the system manufacturer (Dell) and AMD/ATI possible as they write drivers.

    How will I know?

What do I need to change in the BIOS (what?), or what I need to make changes in Windows (registry)?

    Thank you

    Hello:

There is no way you can activate the AHCI in the BIOS for this drive.

The only thing you need to do is to install the latest driver/software Intel RST that supports completely SSD on the RAID drives mode including trim from the link below.  Third file listed.

You can ignore these reports because there is nothing you can do about it and no need to.

    https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/download/24779/Intel-rapid-storage-technology-Intel-RST-RAID-driver

I hope someday, device manufacturers will be re - write these programs to not report problems on any PC with a 7 series Intel chipset or newer, when the disc is in RAID mode.

The hard drive is set to AHCI by default.

I wanted to put a regular SSD instead of hard drive in my G1 of 350 HP, but I can't figure out how to get out the disc.  It does not move.

Manuals says to release the cable and lift up the drive.  With what?  I tried with both hands and it is stuck fast.

I didn't want to damage, so I put this project on hold for now until someone post a YouTube video on how to remove the drive.
