take the quiz to return only quiz questions

Hello

My routes has quiz between teaching slides. There is a pass mark in order to pass the minimum course. When the user fails, they go to the slide of result with recovery test button. But they must examine all the slides after the first slide instead of question slides and quiz. How can I solve this problem? I use captivate 7.

Thank you.

You will need some advanced actions (or shared). There is a variable system cpQuizInfoAttempts that is incremented when the recovery is click on the button, with the first slide in the question. The first time, it is set to 1. When it is greater than 1, the user is in recovery mode. At this time there the content slides should be ignored. Create a conditional action like this:

IF cpQuizInfoAttempts is greater than 1

Jump to slide X

ON THE OTHER

Continue

If turn you this into a shared action, "slip X" will become a parameter.

You need to trigger this action shared with the event on enter the slide content, immediately after a slide of questionnaire (or a series of quiz slide). The parameter 'slide X' must be the slide with the question and should be modified based on which slide you have to jump from.

  • Take the Quiz

I have a project that has a quiz 5 question classified at the end with all the multiple choice questions. If a user does not pass the test, they are transmitted at the beginning of the quiz for a recovery until they pass. In CP4, if the user has failed and was sent at the beginning of the quiz, the quiz seems to be already taken and filled with answers. This was not the case with CP3... it has been reset and ready to be recovered. Is there a way to 'reset' a quiz for a resumption without having to refresh the entire browser to reload the project? Maybe there's another way to go about this?

    TIA,

I have seen this issue before. You MUST go forward after a quiz is done. You can not jump back in case of failure. The solution to go forward to a temporary slide AFTER the quiz. Then add a message and continue a button that jumps at the beginning. If they pass, use GOTO, then a jump to the slide AFTER slide Quiz fail.

    Here's the order:
    Slide 1
    Slide 2
Quiz series - failure Slide, pass go to END
    Slide fail
    End

    Parameters
    Allow 50 attempts
The user MUST take quiz to continue

SCORM requires a movement forward to score. I had a conversation pleasant email on this subject with the developers.

There is a documented bug I have just covered (today) with the developers where the software will only take two jumps. Imagine a quiz, slides, a quiz, slides, slides, a quiz, END. In the Middle, it will not reset. they have my comp this for CP4.

I hope this helps a little.

  • How to shift the quiz questions?

Thanks in advance once again. I try, as part of a compliance training necessary and at the request of my superiors, place a quiz after each slide content. I am now actually check if answer correctly to the question, and if so, they move, but if they fail, they will eventually return to the last content slide to examine. My problem is that when they continue after getting a question of law, rather than to the next content slide, the next slide in quiz rises. I can't seem to figure out how to make sure that Captivate goes into the order of the slides and not just send somebody through questions from the quiz at the same time. Ideas?

Since you are using the function of rehabilitation, I don't think that you need to bother with a tip action? If you choose the jump (first content slide) as default action and set the action on the next button on the last slide of content as "return to the Quiz? Could you try that?

  • Copy to check the knowledge of the questions to the Quiz questions classified

    Adobe captivate 9

I'm working on a project that the owner wishes to question to check knowledge 5 or more not classified after each of the 5 sections of the training.  At the end of the training, the owner wishes to rank issue.  I'm trying to find out if there is a way for me to simply copy the instead of recreating for the verification of knowledge (not rank) and again graded questions.  Any ideas?

I'm afraid that no, there features built in and as you can see differences in the properties of Quiz Panel (you don't score, penalty, partial for KC slides, they are not counted in the Quiz system variables). You will need to recreate the KC questions from scratch, not the normal questions.

  • You can delete the corresponding lines of the quiz question slide?

I have two slides corresponding quiz with eight corresponding items on each slide. The user selects the corresponding answers, the lines drawn by the question to answer Captivate gets really annoying. At the time that all eight matches are completed, the slide is very busy with crossing lines.

Is there a way to disable this feature layout of Captivate? I would have preferred that the lines appear not at all.

Thanks for any help or suggestion, you can provide!

If you have Captivate 6.1 then you can use the Drag and Drop Wizard corresponding custom interactive slides and you will not the lines in the output and you can also include the slide in the quiz and allow Drag and Drop properties declaration.

    Thank you

  • Question 1: Is there some sort of privilege get admin and the State of return permanently? Question 2: Is there a way to make the disk drive C E?

Problem 1: Window 7 and I have fought each other and Windows 7 is to win. I am the owner, administrator and only users of my computer 7 Professional and I can't do anything that requires an admin and most of the time it excludes me everything to do. I need to use this computer, so before you take a hammer, is it possible to give me permanent permission to admin? I do too many things that require admin to play with the standard user. I have a Windows 7 Professional, Internet Explorer 9, and Google Chrome, drive C has about 120GB and 1 TB E. I don't know why the people that set up this computer for me did it but now I have to fix, because drive C is on the point of falling.

Problem 2: My C drive was never large enough to handle what I need, the E drive but how to switch the two? I tried the file transfer and some work and some have just done battle with Windows 7 worse and more complicated. Now the system is all messed up. It will not save, it wont recover, it does not work most things because the C drive is full and no matter how many things I delete or remove the C and put on E drive C never goes back down. I am a student adult and I guess I know just enough to be dangerous, but not enough to make a difference but how am I supposed to learn if I don't try?

Unfortunately, your two statements are incompatible:

    • Now the system is all messed up. I tried to correct things, but there are still so many problems.
    • I really want to start from scratch.
Your chances of fixing your problems are close to zero.
The chances of an expert of your fixing problems are slightly higher, but only if let you it sit in the front of your machine and give him lots of hours trying different things.
Since you seem to be dependent on a work machine, you must consider the following approach:
    1. Back up your data.
    2. Check your backup on another computer so that it is accessible.
    3. Perform a destructive factory restore.
    4. Reload your software.
    5. Create an image of your installation and store it on an external support.
    6. Check if the image is usable.
    7. Wait until the dust has settled (two to four weeks), and then create another image.
    8. Create a new image, once every six months.
    9. Always keep two more recent images.
Many people skip the stages 2, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9. Are absolutely essential for a robust installation that needs a quick recovery path. Skip the following steps allows you to save a bit of time at the start but cause a lot of grief later.
  • Questions and the Quiz Question box misalignment Cap 7

I work in the latest version of Captivate 7.0.1) subscription version and added a question true/false quiz at the course. The inserted question aligns the selection 'box' (circle) correctly for the first response, but not for the second. This is true for the multiple choice questions as well.

The master looks very good, there is no extra space in the text of the question (it occurs without the addition of content), there is no way to close the gap of space. If I move the text, the misaligned selection box moves with it and keeps the difference.

I imported a question of another master, and it works very well, so I have a workaround, but I would like an answer to what is the cause, so I don't inadvertently re-create the problem if it's my fault. And if it's a bug, then Adobe should jump on this one.

  • Send e-mail when someone takes the quiz

I have my quiz put in place so that the results are displayed in my internal server so I can use quiz monitor to access the results. Is there any way I can receive an e-mail when someone passes the test so I can't check the Analyzer quiz to see who did the test?

Captivate allows you to trigger an email via advanced Actions.  However, this best open a new email in the email client of the user with some default of the text of the object and your e-mail address.  You are still reliant on the user manually send this e-mail.  This makes it unreliable itself.

To get an automated e-mail, you must have access to the web programming skills to create a page server who sent an e-mail when it is called.  The Captivate course participant would then no conscience of enamel.

  • How to allow the user return to give lectures when they take a quiz?

    Hello world

I'm new to Captivate and now I'm kinda in a dilemma. Thank you for your
time to look at my post!

I created a CBL in Captivate 3, the first 10 slides is a conference and he
is followed by a quiz of 10 slides, defined as standard SCORM.

I want that the learner must be able to refer to the Conference when they
Take the quiz, I tried 2 approaches and they both
    issues in different ways.

Approach 1: "allow moving backwards" and "infinite attempts. The
problem with this approach is when the learner clicks on "review the.
quiz"and when they click"back"on the first slide of questionnaire, all
Quiz will start everywhere, the score is reset to zero.
Because the quiz is seeing this as a new attempt and that the learner is
permit to make "infinite attempts" such that it has been configured.

Approach 2: "Allow moving backwards" and leave only "1 attempt.
The problem with this approach is, when the learner is in the Middle
Quiz and refers to the Conference, the quiz will be
automatically shown as completed. And the learner will not get a
chance to answer these questions unanswered.

It seems that every time that I leave the learner refer to the Conference
in the middle of a quiz, the quiz will be seen as completed. Who am
I did wrong? Is there a better approach I can "allow backward
movement' and always allow resumes user their quiz where they have left
    in the distance?

Sorry for the long post, I was not able to express it in a more
    concisely.

    Any help is really appreciated!

    -David

What you see is the behavior designed as in Captivate for the quiz.

Each Captivate movie has a range of "quiz", which starts with the first measurable purpose and ends at the Quiz results slide.  If you enter the scope of quiz by starting a slide of questionnaire, then jump back away from quiz, to return to the basics, default behavior of Captivate is to freeze the quiz at this time here.  Then when Captivate refers to allow movement to the rear, it is talking only a move backward in the quiz.

For example, if you get to question 1, but no answer and proceed to question 2 answer that we can go back to question 1, you will still be able to answer question 1.  The test will not be frozen.  However, if you had jumped to any slide before question 1, your quiz would have been frozen with everything that you mark had accumulated at this time here.

There may be a workaround that you can use to get closer to what you want.  As any object that is classified as part of the quiz, you can add a button on one of the first slides that the user must click to move forward.  Set the properties of this button (or click on the box) to report a score for the quiz.  What makes a part of the scope of quiz.  Now, any content slides falling after this slide button are also within easy reach of quiz and return to them will not have the same effect of freezing the quiz.

Please keep in mind another aspect of the quiz questions: If you answer a quiz question, and then move off the slide (forward or back) quiz question answer is frozen and cannot be modified unless resume you the Quiz or raise all of the module.

Hope this helps to clear up how things work.

  • Captivate 7 - Quiz questions take a long time to advance to the next

So I have completed my course. All along (each slides or so) I quiz questions that are classified but undeclared. They are simply there to prepare the student for the final exam. They have the opportunity to submit the response followed legends correct and incorrect. At the end of the course, the trainee meeting these same issues (55 in total), but now they are back to back and they are both classified and reported. Here, they have only the option to submit.

When they take undeclared quiz questions, click on submit and it quickly goes to the next slide, because it is set up to do. BUT on issues that are noticed and reported, when they click on submit, it really takes a lot of time to move to the next slide (and a lot of time, I mean 10 more seconds). At the end of the review, when they answered the final question, and click to go on, the two final slides take more time (sometimes up to a minute) to move forward.

I understand it is going to be some delay while the system reports the score for each slide, but this seems abnormally long. This shift occurs in preview mode, scormcloud and during a test on a LMS (Gyrus) client.

Any idea on why this is and how to prevent it. It's really hard to ask my customers to be patient and stay there for 10 seconds every single issue. I need them to take the final exam at their own pace - fast or slow.

    Thanks in advance,

    Arthur

I know, it is barely visible, because the line between the inactive and the Active part is black on a blue background (already invited for 6 or 5.5 to change that color...) You will need to go over it all in the middle of the timeline until you see the line double cursor appearing and you can put:

Go to the next slide makes them faster. I had no problem with our LMS, but read on this forum (you know that I am often here) that some have done so. No rule of the world, by dragging the break more towards the end has almost the same effect, but you can leave a little bit more time (less than the 1.5secs).

As I know there is no way to change the sleep time by default for Question slides, as the timing is never available on Quiz Master slides.

  • Random Quiz questions repeating on the occasions of Captivate

    Captivate 9 using a Mac

    I have a 10 question quiz

    5 questions are mandatory

    5 questions are random 10

Created 10 question pools. 5 with one mandatory question and 5 with two random questions

Users must take the quiz at the end, there was $$username$ $ you reached $$cpQuizInfoPointsscored$ $

AND advanced Action Pass = see shut up and leave (hide another) and does not = button resume show and hide on the other.

The problem is when taking the quiz (NOT restart) the quiz presents the same issues. I guess it's because the random questions are selected during the loading of the project (is html)

Questions ARE random during closure and relaunch the project

How can we get the random recovery?

I can only think to create another set of grouped questions and apply IF recovery quiz SHOW 2nd pool...

but it is an assumption and prefer not too many break points

    thoughts...

I'm sorry but that's how the random questions are indeed fixed, once they are selected from the pool. Recovery would never use new random questions.

  • Captivate 8, why the back of sanitation to the quiz action take back me to the quiz when I want to just go to the next slide?

I use in my course on the user get a question wrong sanitation. This part works, however, when I want to just sail the course before taking the quiz, I'm back to the quiz before even I got to the course quiz section. It makes no sense to a user. Any one fixed this problem or there at - it

something wrong with the way in which the actions are configured?

Basically, when a user gets an answer wrong they click anywhere on the screen and is taken to a slide in the course of reviewing the information described in the quiz.

The user is then able to return to the quiz by clicking on the button continue.

    Help, please

    Winstonian

I think that indeed to be the reason. You will be in Quiz carried almost all the slides, and the capability to return to a question with the following button slide is certainly linked to the scope of Quiz. It was my first "intuition".

Most of the new features of quiz is designed with a case of use quite limited in mind. This is the case for all the, pre-test and remediation issues.  And it is often the team Adobe assumes that all questions on the test are set at the beginning of the file, all normal questions are set at the end of the file. And I'm perfectly aware that this is rarely the case for real projects. For this reason, personally, I would avoid these features in most of the projects. One that works very well as far as I KNOW is branch up-to-date, to create system variables Dynamics quiz. And in some cases, I really appreciate the rating partial and even sentence (too bad it is only limited to the MCQ type). I will often use workarounds for other features. More work, but more control.

  • Display a summary of the student responses to questions from the quiz on a slide

I tried to create a single slide that contains a summary of the responses of students to all the quiz questions by using the cpQuizInfoAnswerChoice system variable, custom variables and advanced actions. but failed. The main inhibitor this effort were the short-answer questions.

Is it possible (in a later version of Adobe Captivate) a new system variable can be added to the cpQuizInfoAnswerResponse called?

This variable could act similar to cpQuizInfoAnswerChoice but instead would encompass the real answer.

Adding this variable would make it possible for us to enter any answer to question multiple choice or short answer in a user variable that subsequently can be displayed on a slide later in the course.

I already know the feature of Captivate quiz review - I mean allows us to capture everything on a slide instead of using the review function.

If you want such a feature, do not post in this forum, but file a feature request, please.

    Feature request/Bug Report Form

As for the short answer question, please take a look at: Custom short answer Question - Captivate blog

If the LMS supports getting the values of the variables, the interaction of text scrolling is a valid alternative to the short answer question.

  • Quiz Questions installed within the scrolling text box?

    Hello

Is quick question, possible to enter the quiz questions in a text scrolling Interaction?  Thanks for your time.

    -Brett H.

I don't think it's possible, because the scrolling text is an Interaction, and you have almost no control over it. Certainly not the questions by default, which is totally excluded.

  • Excluding the review quiz questions on

    Hello

I have a path with a quiz at the end. However, in the course itself, I have a few interactions that were better managed (I thought) in the form of the Question pages. They provide feedback and try again, and I defined them as cash for 0 points and I unchecked "report responses.

When the student has completed the end of course quiz, I wish they were able to review their answers on the quiz questions (no change). I don't want this review, including the questions that appear, with comments, in the body of the course.

Is it possible to exclude these questions from the quiz test?

    Hello again,

    I didn't say 'hide', but 'Skip '.

What is a linear project? I mean, are the 'real' as issues after the interactions which are not marked but when visited in review mode? In this case, a tip action triggered at the entrance to the first slide 'interaction' will do. There must be a conditional action, something like this:

IF cpInReviewMode is equal to 1

Jump to the Question1 Question1 corresponding to the first real Question slide

    Continue

    ON THE OTHER

    Continue

    Not so complicated, right?
