TCP/IPv4 obtain DNS automatically

Hi all

I have my router configured to use dns to opendns servers, and everything works fine except for my desktop under Vista SP3 PC.

I have my router set up because of the IP based on MAC addresses, so I have the TCP/IPv4 set to obtain an IP and DNS address automatically.

My problem is the PC of Office Watch reset itself and registering an address in the DNS server box. How do I delete these addresses and force it to Auto adjust.

I don't really want to put in the openDNS servers, in case I decide to go back to my ISP servers. I prefer to keep auto and make the changes on the router.

It becomes very frustrating to have to keep resetting.

Go to start / Control Panel / Internet Options / connections / select the connection and click settings.  Click on properties and go to work in network and select TCP/IPv4.  Under TCP/IPv4, select properties and make sure that the first page says get an address of DNS server automatically.  Click Advanced and then click DNS.  Make sure that the only two boxes checked are Append primary and Suffixes connection specific DNS and add relatives of the main DNS - nothing else suffix suffixes.  Click OK and save this.  This should solve the problem.  But I suspect that you already did (probably several times) so let's move on.

The only other option that I can think of is to reset the TCP/IP stack that can get rid of the incorrect addresses and run and fresh with the correct settings.  Here is the procedure:http://geekswithblogs.net/mattcampbell/archive/2007/09/30/Resetting-your-whole-IP-stack-in-Vista.aspx.  I don't know if this will help, but if you are having problems with TCP/IP, it is one way that many people use to solve.  Then you will need to reconfigure the TCP/IP settings and then you can see if that does the trick.

I hope this helps.

Good luck!

  • Reset TCP/IP v4 DNS guard!

I want to set to automatically obtain DNS my TCP/IPv4 properties. However when I check the box it works for so long and then resets and seizes the addresses in the DNS address areas.

How can I delete these addresses and get it to 'paste' in automatic mode?

    Thank you

Try resetting TCP/IP: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/299357.  Make sure that you take note of the appropriate settings before doing this so that you can restore when it in fact.  This should remove all stored DNS addresses there and then they hopefullly will not be able to come back and you won't get them automatically.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi all

I bought a new USB wireless internet and after installing it, it automatically connects to our network, but fails to connect to the internet. (Local access only)

    What can I please!

TCP/IPv4 is a standard part of all versions of Windows XP, and it appears in the connection network under Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) properties.  If you have access to your local network or Internet, IPv4 is installed.

  • How can I activate the TCP/IPv4 properties button?

Hello everyone, I am trying to solve a problem on my Windows 7 netbook. When I run ipconfig he returned only this line "IP Configuration of Windows" with later data. When I go to the wireless adapter and select Protocol Internet Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), the properties button is disabled. I unchecked the IPv6 checkbox. The wireless adapter is connected to the WiFi hotspot, but the status is not 'connected' for IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity connectivity. I already used the netsh command to reset the interfaces by this link ( http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-networking/tcpipv4-properties-button-disabled/347899fa-b60a-40a3-ad2c-78ef5e0dca37 ). I also have the same problem with my Wired NETWORK card. Please can someone configure me this adapter to get a static IPv4 address or via DHCP?

-Also reset the TCP/IP stack via (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/299357?wa=wsignin1.0#letmefixit )

    -Also tried re-installing the drivers (http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-networking/the-tcp-ip-v4-protocol-for-the-built-in-wireless/a28c5096-d1c4-4cc4-ab56-236a163e3a96 )

    I had the same problem.

I noticed that the button of properties available on the network security mode. So I started to disable suspicious services then I found the problem: his "Service to safety nut.

Doing some research, I discovered that it comes with adware 'Movies Toolbar'. Even if you uninstall the "Toolbar Movies", "The safety nut" always running.

To uninstall it just open services.msc, double click on 'Service of safety nut' and change the Startup Type to disable, and then restart Windows. When Windows are online again, the button of properties will be available and the safety nut will no longer appear on the services.

    It will be useful.

  • Properties TCP/IPv4 button disabled...?

    Hello
I have searched for a solution for over a week now and have found nothing to answer this question.

I am trying to configure my Ethernet card, but the 'Properties' button to the 'Internet Protocol Version 4' element (TCP/IPv4) is disabled (grayed Out)... and I cannot understand why.

The Ethernet card is enabled and it is actually connected to my university network.
I am able to use the internet through it, as I currently do.

I don't have that one adapter installed, nothing else appears in the "Network connections" box of "Control Panel."

I am "Windows 7 Professional" and tried to find the differences between my PC and the other 2 PC running the same operating system still have been unable to do.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

It could be that IPv6 is enabled and supported by the network.

Scan your computer and make sure that it is clean of viruses and malware.

    Next, try this.

    WinSock and TCP/IP update.

Type Cmd in the search text box.

Press Ctrl-Shift-Enter keyboard shortcut to run a command as administrator prompt.  Allow the elevation.

Type netsh winsock reset at the command prompt and press the Enter key.

Do the same process to refresh the TCP/IP just replace the command typed with.

netsh interface ipv4 reset Press enter

netsh interface ipv6 reset Press enter

    ipconfig/flushdns press Enter

    Restart your computer.

  • FWSM: rule on tcp/1089 breaks DNS lookups

    A weird problem this time...

Yesterday, I added a rule to the ACL on an external interface to the FWSM (v3.1.1). The rule has been something like this:

list of extended outside access permit tcp any host aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd eq 1089

After that, we got complaints about visitors is not able to resolve DNS queries. DNS be within a zone demilitarized on the FWSM - they were not solve all requests, but I was able to ping the DNS.

Removing the rule solves the problem.

Someone at - he seen this before?

If your access list uses groups of objects, you can see CSCse60868, where an ACL w/object-groups a change may cause corruption ACL. If so, the problem disappeared not because you deleted the new line in itself, but because doing so caused a re - compile the ACL (compensating for corruption).

  • TCP/IPv4 properties

If you install an Internet Web server on the network to the client, the owner of the company tells you that he also wants to build a Web server for internal use by the employees of the company.  This intranet Web server contains no confidential information, but it should not be accessible from the website of the company.  To do this, you create a second site on the Web server.  The website uses the well-known port #80.  The intranet site is port 283.  Assuming that the IP address of the web server on the internal network is 10.54.3.145, which should the company network users to access the intranet Web site with Microsoft Internet Explorer?  As you can provide many details would be much appreciated! student of Vista of Gretchen

In most of the major web browsers, adding a colon and the port number to the end of the IP address of the Web site will specify the port to use.

The vast majority of public Web sites using port 80 and if you don't specify a port to use, the browser assumes you want to use port 80.
Here are some examples to help explain:
www.Bing.com:80 will take you to the same place as www.bing.com
Alternatively, www.bing.com:60 will not load because it is not a website hosted on port 60.
So to answer your question, for users to access the intranet site, they need access to 10.54.3.145:283.

  • To obtain an 'automatic' peripheral register without PSN?

    Hello

Everyone pleade suggest me the ISE1.2 config

I have to do separate ssid called embedded. Once that the device not registed happens, ISE is sredirect to the registration of portal.

I can finish the auto fill in the peripheral register that the user needs to fill its MAC manually. And I'm done too convenient dual ssid as demo cloud ISE. However I need set up in between people.

Please give me configures or suggestions

    Thank you

    Nipat

Hello Nipat. It is not possible in version 1.2. In version 1.2, you have two options to get the device registration process:

1 DRW (recording device Web Auth): but this method can not be combined with other methods of authentication

2 NSP (Native begging Provisioning): you already know that talk of it, but looks like it's not an option

You can look into upgrading to 1.3 because I believe that you will be able to 'chain' the CWA and RAJ methods with other authentication methods.
