Tecra 9000 - sound problems
Good then I obviously have my tecra 9000 series PC laptop and im trying to get the sound to work. Nothing don't is going on so I thought he might have a sound deseased... So I replaced it with a brand new sound Board in which cost $107 *. Anyway, so I replace it, install it and still does not =]
All useful suggestions out there?
Hello, Sire
Have you seen errors in Device Manager or any yellow exclamation?
If so, the audio controller is faulty or the driver is not installed.
Have you installed the audio driver? This driver, you will find on the Toshiba site.
Good bye

I bought a second hand Tecra. I can't play any sound out of it. When I go to sounds and Audio, under audio devices, it says "no Audio device". When I go in the material, he said all devices work correctly except for the Multimedia Audio Controller, which according to her, the "drivers are not installed (code 28). When I try to install the Realtek drivers AC 97 system said that they are not compatible with XP and landfills eventually get out me.
Can offer you any advice / solutions to this.
Thank you very much

Tecra 9000 running W2k - driver for the Audio controller problem!
Help, please!
I have a laptop Toshiba Tecra 9000 and recently discovered that the sound was no longer working. I'm not sure exactly when he first stopped working, but believe it was with MS Windows 2000 Updates or when cleaning PC after spyware attacks. While they inspected the real device (Yamaha AC - XG Audio Device), it has each if useful ""! "with a ' Code 10 - device cannot start", in the "Device status" screen
I removed the device and allowed windows to detect & install, without success, then downloaded and tried many devices and generic drivers, drivers and
even later as suggested on a Web of Toshiba site, I find
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com namely;Driver date: 22/05/2001 Version: 5.12.1.2138
I'm at a complete loss as to why it has stopped working and what to try next to try and solve the problem. Any
help or advice would be greatly appreciated.Concerning
KHello
It is possible only after the installation of the MS Updates that the audio driver is blocked by a load of your system and no sound can be heard.
If you want you can try to install this driver:
http://drivers.Soft32.com/driver/download-Yamaha_AC_XG_Generic_Drivers_for_YMF753_743_752-24609.htmlIt is useful after installing SP2. I don't know if this will help in your case, but you can try it.

Tecra 9000 - Modem and sound card
I have a Tecra 9000 with a cople of months there is a problem.
The modem has not been recognized more...
Given that the problem was not important that I took all measures.
But now, it is the sound card that no longer works.
It is not recognized by the operating system more.
What seems to happen? Software or hardware problems?
Best regards
Paulo
Hello
It's not easy to say, what the problem is (software or hardware). First of all, you can try to delete these two devices (modem, sound card) Device Manager. After the start-up of the OS should recognize devices. In addition, you can try to install the new driver for these devices. If this action doesn't help, you can try to reinstall your system with the recovery CD.

Tecra 9000: Where to find the driver for XP sound card?
Hello
I had a chance Tecra 9000 and installed a new Win XP Home edition. Sounds like the sound card requires an additional driver. Toshiba homepage can't stand the T9000. Any hint where I can get this driver?
Thanks, Antiman
Surely, Toshiba supports XP audio driver for Tecra 9000 series.

Strange sounds coming from Tecra 9000
I recently a Tecra 9000 it was swell until it began to Crackle. I'm 100% sure that it is not the speakers. The sound seems to come somewhere around the hardrive it self and after the ticking, the system goes to a blue screen similar to the one that you see when it crashes.
Hello
The strange sound could come from the HARD drive.
I put t know how old your HARD drive is there but maybe s a beginning of the end!
A strange rattling appeared on my laptop. After a BSOD, I wasn't able to boot up the laptop and the HARD drive was dead.
It was a simple disc HARD head crash. Something happens after a long use of HARD drive. My HARD drive was about 6 years old.concerning

Hello
I have finally narrowed it down to my performace Tecra problem to the WLAN card and ask advice on what to do.
The symptoms are so: If the wireless card is active (not in market, just installed and active) the PC freezes for about 15 seconds every 60 seconds. (WLAN itself works very well when the PC has not locked up.). This is no immeidate (after priming) but will kick some time in the next few hours.
Looking at the Task Manager, the 'system' consumes 100% of CPU for three seconds separated from 4 points (which blocks everything upward) and it returns to normal for 50 seconds and then it repeats.
If I go into Device Manager and disable the Toshiba Wireless LAN mini PC card, the problem is immediately disappears.
When I try to re - activate the map (sometimes), the computer crashes with system 100% CPU usage. Thanks for your suggestions
R
Tecra 9000 MB 784. 40Gb, XP SP3.
Driver WLAN is Aegere System 7.82.0.550PS When the PC is cold started with the WLAN card enabled, the PC and the WIFI works very well for a while (an hour or two) then the symptoms kick gel.

Tecra 9000: Problems with 2nd Battery Pack in Slim SelectBay
Hello
When I insert the second battery (PA3074U-1BAT) in Slim Select Bay the battery does not charge and is not recognized by the Tecra 9000 laptop: status led on the front is not lit.
If I insert the DVD of Tecra drive for example, everything works fine.
I know that the battery is 100% working since I put it in another Tecra 9000 occurs flawlesly.
Why doesn't the laptop to work with the second battery? Any ideas?
Thank you.
Hello
I put t knows exactly why the second battery does not work in your Tecra 9000, but I found another display created by your all about this Tecra 9000 and looks that you have disassembled the laptop, and maybe you have damage or not connected something.
In my opinion, every single computer laptop part should be checked again!

Problem installing XP on Tecra 9000 battery
I just installed Windows XP on my Tecra 9000 and re-installed all the drivers via software Driver Genius Professional 2007. Everything worked fine except the driver of my battery (battery model: PA3084U-1BAS) and the infrared device.
I can't find the proper drivers. You can provide them for me?
Thank you very much for the help!
Louis
Hello
Usually the doesn´t need drivers battery. The only 'drivers' that needs to be installed (and which are limited to all the energy components in your system) are Toshiba Powersaver. If it is installed, then the battery stuff would be recognized.
Please go here:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp
Download and install the powersaver and other tools for your machine if not already done. Computers laptop Toshiba need their own tools to work properly and not just drivers.
See you soon

Possible CMOS problem on Tecra 9000?
Hello
I have a Tecra 9000, which so far has been superb. However, in the last days when it starts cold, I see a message that says "Bad Checksum (ROM) and mew asking you to press the F1 key to access the configuration." I do, and then press end and Y, the machine then boots fine in XP. Date and time are very good. I tried to Flash the BIOS, but I already have the latest version and so it will not let me.
Someone at - it ideas? While its not stop working, it's annoying!
Thank you very much
Greg ThomasHi Thoma
It seems that your BIOS battery is defect. There is no way that laptop to save the BIOS settings. Please contact Toshiba Service partner. They can fix. There is no single way to do it.

On my Tecra 9000 display driver problem
Hey guys
I wonder if you could help me. I have loaded a new copy of Windows XP Pro on my Tecra 9000, while configuring I unchecked accidentally the Windows display driver option. Now, every time I start up the laptop I have, but the OS is still running in the background. Is there anyway to get my screen back?
Thank you and I hope to hear from you soon
Hello
Did you use an original Microsoft Windows or the recovery CD provided?
In my opinion, you must use the recovery CD because it has all the necessary drivers for devices to unity.
If you installed the original operating system from CD of Microsoft Windows, you must download and install all Toshiba drivers after installing the OS.Good bye

Hello world
I realized that newer versions of Toshibas Power Saver
available for the new notebooks Tecra. I use Power Saver 4 on my Tecra 9000. I just tried to install the latest version of PowerSaver on my Tecra 9000. Installation seems to work, but after completing the procedure, an error sound due and energy savings has not started properly, but I have no massage error. If I try to run the energy saver manually I don't receive a massage of error, that I don't have permission to start the process!
Is it possible to install and use a newer version of the saving on the Tecra 9000? What is the latest version that I can use on the Tecra 9000? I hope that no version 4?Best regards
Mason
Hi Matty
Can you please tell me do you have had problems with energy savings? For each series of notebook for each laptop model there are aligned in each model versions, and you can use only the energy savings that are made for your model of 9000.
Believe me, the best version for your Tecra is the version that you can find on the CD tools & utilities. If there is no problem with energy saving, it is not necessary to make any update.

Tecra 9000 - left speaker does not work
Hello
the left speaker of my Toshiba Tecra 9000 no longer works.
Strangely, the right one still works perfectly. As far as I can tell this is not a problem concerning the links between the speaker and the motherboard.
I disassembled the laptop to check if the connection and firmly plugged it.Any ideas what the problem may be?
Thank you.
Hello Peter
As I see that you started several threads with different themes on your old Tecra 9000. I don't know where the condition is your Tecra but according to your assignment, you have disassembled the laptop integer. Have you taken some disassembly instructions or you did at your peril?
What about the speaker? Check all sound settings or player settings you use. Maybe left speaker off ot the sound is set to the right speaker only. If nothing is done it is possible that left speaker is defective. Tecra 9000 is old enough for laptop and everything is possible.
