Hello suncoastsrq,
Usually, when we see problems during shutdown, the cause is something that loads at startup.
To this end, I would recommend mode startup minimum troubleshooting as seen in the following articles:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/316434
Please note that after refine us the cause, it is important that we return to a normal startup and manually delete the startup program.
In addition, if we can get downloaded discharge, the community has access to them and will probably be able to determine the cause.
You can download the dump Auggy's previous suggestion?
Let us know.

Tecra A2 blue screen when you select the display settings tab
Hi, I have a Tecra A2 Windows XP SP2 (and all of the updates in automatic mode). Only two months. When I go to display properties and click on the tab settings of the machine crashes with a blue screen. Have tried to reinstall the driver provided on the CD with the machine but makes no difference. I tried downloading a more updated to Intel driver but it says that it cannot install it. Any suggestions from anyone, please?
Also (may be relevant but do not know) in device manager I have two default monitors list and two identical cards - which is how it should be?Hello
Yes, to you on time. In the device under Graphics Manager, two graphics controllers appear. But it's not a fault.
Also Toshiba recommend using the graphic drivers of Toshiba. In this case, you should visit Toshiba's pilot Web site, and you need to install the graphics driver from this site.

Have HP Pavilion laptop dv2500, p/n kn997ua #aba, does not illuminate. When you connect the power supply blinks blue.
Now you can take the laptop at best buy or Wal-Mart and get them to plug a power cord. This will give you an idea if you need to buy a power cord or not.
Again, you can always buy the power supply cord and if it does not return.

Blue screen when you perform the search for live TV in Windows Media Center on the new Lenovo A700
I just got my new Lenovo IdeaCenter A700 yesterday and have been busy setting up. The computer is equipped with a built-in TV Tuner and I tried to put in place the TV on it so I could watch TV on my computer. I have RCN for cable and a cable TV that gets first plugged into the decoder and then I plug the cable to the TV - so I just plugged this cable on my computer instead of the TV.
I used the following Web site to set up using Windows Media Center - http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/9166/learning-windows-7-setup-live-tv-in-windows-media-center/. After that I put in my zip code he sought the power of the signal or something and then I got a blue screen. To restart the computer the information below has been MS. error message This happened to me twice.
Anyone know how to fix this? Or otherwise, I just want to use my computer to watch TV on, and if I can do this other method other than Windows Media Center free I am happy to do.
Please let me know if you need more information.

C:\Windows\System32\en-US\erofflps.txtThis seems to be resolved now... it was maybe an update of windows, like when I rebooted my machine it updated automatically and after that he worked all of a sudden!
Anyway, now it shows a black screen and no sound for all channels, but that is a different problem... and I'll look in to that.

Tecra 9000 - blue screen when connected to the Internet via mobile phone
Hello
I have a problem with the blue screen that appears when you use IE and internal Internet by Motorola V547 via Bluetooth connection. BlueScreen begins to appear more and more often.
There is no special software installed for motorola, and I also use fresh Windows 2000 after using the restore CD.
What could be a problem?
Blue screen shows two kinds of errors:
1 * STOP: 0X0000001E<0x0000047,0x8042EDB1,0x81789468 ,0x818a6320="">

Blue screen when you insert the DVD - M40X
Hello
I have a new computer laptop toshiba satellite M40x-183. (with DVD super multi)
After ten days of buying it, I found a problem when playing some DVD and CD, when I insert the dvd I got a blue screen saying... There is an error and windows can stop harmful to your pc and I have to contact the support then start dumping from 100% to 0%...
I have tried the dvd in many other dvd players and it works perfectly. Team support here told me that this type of dvd player are unable to process this format how it happens so that older toshiba and other laptop brands can do!
Is there a solution to this?Hello
Well, as the support service team say that the DVD player is not able to read this format.
But I can't give you a good answer why it s not possible to play this DVD. It s a simple fact that there are many DVD and CD formats on the market and number of readers is not able to play some formats.
Have you tried to play burn DVDs? I recommend you to test the DVD from other manufacturers. I use TDKs and it works correctly.Good bye

Blue screen when you use the CD/DVD on Satellite L30-105 player
I have a Satellite L30-105. Recently when using the CD/DVD drive, it began to crash (blue screen) after playing a DVD-video or a music CD.
Either way, I seem to only get playback of DVD-video and not the main sound track. Does anyone have an idea what may cause these errors.Hello
To my knowledge, the blue screen starts if there is a serious software problem or if some of the equipment is malfunctioning.
I put t believe that this blue screen error message can be caused by a defective CD/DVD drive.Hmm, according to your message and you can not hear the main sound and cannot read music CDs, I think that this problem could be linked to the sound card.
In the first case I recommend updating the audio driver. If this does not help, try to recover the laptop with the supplied recovery CD and check if the same thing always happens on the new BONES recovered. (Don t install any 3rd party application).
Good luck

Satellite M55 goes out when you disconnect the power cable
Hello
to unplug my laptop the plug rather than switch to the battery, my laptop turns off often simply even if the battery is fully charged. Other time things work as it should.
I did some research and my problem seems similar to that detailed here in this post.
Maybe someone knows the solution for this problem?Thank you.
Hello Luke
As in the other topic described, you must communicate with the service and explain exactly what is happening. I fear that there may be something wrong with electronic power supply. We can just speculate on this.
I fear unfortunately there is nothing you can do alone.

Runtime for atibtmon.exe error when you disconnect the power cord
Whenever I disconnect my power cord Windows 8 displays an error dialog box:
Runtime error!Program: C:\WINDOWS\system32\atibtmon.exeThis application has requested the execution to terminate in an unusual way.For more information, contact the application support team.Anyone with the same problem?Any fix for this?Computer: DELL Studio XPS 16I encountered this problem with my Pavilion DV6 after upgrade to W8 64 bit as well and is more annoying than it should be. For what it's worth, I opened the AMD Vision Engine Control Center and disabled the "Vari-Bright" option on the power tab and which seemed difficult to get the error message every time my laptop is unplugged. Does not solve the underlying problem and will decrease my time unplugged a bit, but I can live with that.
Thanks for the steps, Amiarage. Looks like we will have to just wait for ATI to fix. -
