Tecra A4: The difference between the memory modules

Hello.

Could someone explain the difference between the modules of memory called PA3311U -1PA3311U and M25 -2M25?

And is it possible to use Tecra A4 with PA3311U - 1 M 25?

Thank you.

Hello

Tecra A4 supports these modules:

DDR2 400/533 256 MB (PA3389U - 1 M 25)
512 MB DDR2-400/533 (PA3412U - 1 M 51)
1 GB OF DDR2 400/533 (PA3411U-1M1G)

In addition, you can google a bit for cela other numbers of add-on memory and compare these parts. I m you will find a host of information

Good bye

    Hello

You can easily remove the memory modules.
I think that the Bay is placed at the bottom of the unit.
Remove the screw that is blocking the Bay, and you will have access to the module.

    Hello

It of not difficult to remove or Exchange the memory modules because you only check Chapter 8 and 9 of your owner's manual. In the user manual, you can find a detailed explanation how to do this with a few photos and what you need to the modules of RAM.

    Check this box!

    Hello

The fact is that if you use 2 different memory modules with different properties (of lower performance) so the laptop can run with lower performance. This means that the 256 memory module slows down you memory. The best way is to use the same modules having the same properties.

  • Satellite L50 - B - 1 HM - how to replace the memory module?

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite L50 B - 1 HM, product number: PSKTAE 072017CE. It has 8 GB of RAM but is expandable to 16 GB.

My question is, should I buy a 8 GB memory module? (and I would add up to 16 GB).
Or should I buy a 16 GB memory module to completely replace the memory of 8 GB?

Memory 8 GB Toshba module I've found is the following: P000577360

    Thanks in advance

    Kind regards

    Hello

Googling around, I found also specification for your model of laptop and if I understand it is just your machine can be upgraded up to 16 GB for you can use 2x8GB.

Compatible 8 GB of RAM for your machine has PA5104U-1M8G part number.

I n t have this model of laptop, so I put t know if there is coverage of RAM placed on the lower side of your laptop. If this isn't the case, RAM could be placed under the keyboard so RAM upgrade must be performed by the Toshiba service provider. Removal of material or to open the case of the laptop on your own is the warranty.

    Be careful about this.

  • NB520 - access to the memory Module

I want to upgrade the module memory to 2 GB, but I can't remove the back plate.
I loosened the 2 screws but the back plate still seems to be secure in the Center near the outlet.
As usual the manual is no help.
I need to drag or unclip it?

As much as I know there is no more screws that must be removed.
But this should be explained in the user manual.
It s usually preinstalled on your laptop but if you deleted the user manual, then you can download this from Toshiba Europe page

  • Satellite A210-18s - can I use the memory modules?

My laptop is an A210-18, PSAELE.
    It has 2 x 1 GB DDR2-PC5300 (667 Mhz) memory.

    Can I replace it with 2 x 2 GB PC6400 (800 Mhz)?

    Gr. + Thanx
    Willem

    Hello

I checked the specifications of Satellite A210-18 and it supports up to 4 GB of memory. This means that you can replace with 2x2gb modules.

But according to the specifications it supports only DDR PC5300 speed up to. PC6400 will work, but they only work with PC5300 speed. All that, but they work!

  • The memory module loses the functionality with the latest version of FFX

I just upgraded to Version 36, and now the add-on brief (RSS reader) has lost some features. Specifically, the list of all feeds, but when I click on an individual type power or a folder (for example, "computer") to limit the display, the display does not change to reflect my choice. Before Version 36, I could set up a limited vision, but now I can't. I tried to uninstall and reinstall in short, but there is no change in behavior. (I am running Windows 8.1 on a laptop Lenovo G700, if it's relevant.) I checked the list of changes for the next Version of 37, but that doesn't help me - I am not the developer, and I work with Version 36. Anyone have any suggestions on how to solve this problem of the end-user? Thank you.

Sorry, I only use the module myself.

There is a brief thread support and your comments here:

Also, the module based on the reviews of customers here - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/brief/reviews/ - it looks like this is broken in Firefox 36. You can try the channel at the bottom of this page - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/brief/ - development version and see if it works better.

  • Satellite A300D PSAH8A replace the memory module

    Hi, everyone, I have a satellite A300D *(PSAH8A-01K00H) has only 2 G of RAM.
I want to upgrade my RAM to 4 G, but not very well what RAM (I mean DDR2 or DDR3), how fast is compatible with the motherboard)

Someone can give me some advice or a website to find its material information, would be much appreciated thanks in advance.

    Lee

    Hi mate

Notebook´s RAM upgrade depends on the chipset.
Means that you should check the properties of the chipset.

But as far as I know the laptop must support 4 GB of RAM, and AFAIK you could use DDR2 modules RAM 800 MHz.

PS: this information must also be placed in the user's manual. Then maybe you should check this too ;)

    Welcome them

  • Satellite C50-B-13D - how do I access the memory module

    Hello

I can't find a guide around here and said Toshiba laptop support site can have maximum of 8 GB of memory, that I bought but can't see an access panel and don't really want to go unscrewing things without knowing the exact procedure!

    Thank you

    Hello

The Satellite C50 - * B * series doesn t contain more memory cache-location at the bottom of the device as C50 - A Satellite and others usually do.

So it's not possible to upgrade with the RAM without voiding the warranty.
From my point of view of the rare such upgrade must be performed by authorized engineers.

However, if you n t care about the warranty, you can see videos from youtube showing the instruction how to remove the bottom cover (search + Toshiba Satellite Pro C50 - B disassembly +)

  • Tecra A2 - what is the difference between the cooling modules Tecra A8?

    Hello

I have Tecra A2 and my fan is almost 'dead '. So I think to buy a new one.

    And here my question:
"What are the differences between Fans (P000401740) A2 and A8 (P000463770) for example?"

Because despite the construction of the "rotor" as well as details of construction of the case they seem to be exactly the same.
If I buy this A8, it would work with my laptop?

    Kind regards
    Christopher

    Hello

I m not very well what s the difference between these two modules of cooling but the fact is that the motherboards are just different and I doubt that a cooling module that was not designed specifically for the Tecra A2 series would correspond with A2 motherboard and case.

That's why I recommend buying a cooling module which has been designed especially for this series!
I think you can order the Toshiba ASP.

    Good bye

  • Tecra M4: the upgrade of ram, guaranteed

    Hello
I have Tecra M4. If I upgrade my memory would only be validade warranty or not? has obtained a guarantee of 3 years, would be a shame to lose.

    Hello

the memory upgrade will not affect your warranty. The memory is "user-extensible. It is because you do not have to remove half of the machine. It is enough to remove a small plate on the bottom of the laptop and insert the memory module.

    Good bye
