Tecra A8 BSOD - hardware malfunction

Hello world.

I have Tecra A8 and there is problem happened to me all the time.

Blue screen with this message:

Malfunction of the equipment; the system is shut down. Call your provider of support material

I changed the hard drive & RAM, but it doesn t work

One had this before

It does not seem good buddy.

It looks like a serious hardware problem. Maybe it s related to the motherboard.

I think you should do what is written in the message: call your hardware support of the seller.

So I recommend you to contact the local Toshiba authorized service provider.

Good luck

    Hello

Windows can display only basic error messages in case of malfunctioning of the equipment, troubleshooting can be difficult. Most Centre of problems of equipment around the motherboard, the RAM on a motherboard or on an adapter, or memory cache on a motherboard or adapter.
Well, it would be very interesting to know that you have changed material. In addition it is possible that you have improved the unit with the device is not compatible.

Last week, I change the battery but the problem is still on.

    Hello

According to this Microsoft article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/222973/en-us, there is a hardware problem. In my opinion, you will not be able to record only. Contact the service partner in your country and let check the device. If this continues with the new battery too, I presume that there is some problem with electronic power to the motherboard.

This message occurs only if the mobile PC is running on battery power, or in other cases too?

  • Tecra 9000 - BSOD after installing display driver

    Hello!

I installed WinXP new and now I have problems with my grafic, I think.
Make it just a blue screen with a warning "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" or sometimes a defect of a date called as something of my graphics card.
And sometimes my system just hangs.

    Someone at - it help?

    Hello

BSOD is the result of a serious software, issue or hardware malfunction.
You said that this BSOD appears after installation of the graphics driver.

First of all; have you installed the graphics driver on the right?
On the other hand; have you installed Win XP patches?

The Toshiba driver page provides a few Win XP drivers for this model of laptop
The drivers are placed in the Archives area because this laptop is an oldie
    Must check

If the BSOD still appears after updating Windows XP and after installation of the good driver then a hardware problem could be the reason of this problem
By hardware malfunction, I mean the number of graphic chip or module memory problem.

Do you get the BSOD during the BIOS update procedure?
Are you using the Windows operating system preinstalled Toshiba? or did you install your own system?

If you have installed your system, then you should check that the VAP is installed as well.

Also, I found this info about the update to the BIOS:

Hi, can someone tell me how to solve this problem? Initially, we thought that it was the computer that causes this, but after the day the computer test, this seems to be the problem with the computer.

I think it's the PCI and PXI card on the computer that is the cause. Does anyone know what I can do about it?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Krispiekream,

Look at this post and tell me if this helps solve your problem.  I noticed you have Vision with LV 2009, so it would be good to check that the solution of first before taking what anyone else.  In addition, I do not know the equipment you use, but if you have a 8221 OR with a NI 8171, see this knowledge base.  If they do not resolve that your problem made me know, thank you.

  • blue screen on the PXI-8106 module: hardware malfunction

    Hi all

I have a module, PXI-8106 (2 GB of RAM) - with a PXI-6254 and I was running trials with the attached screw (continuous acquisition of 16 I and 32 DI triggered by RTSI 4-5 kHz).

When I started this morning, I got a blue screen of death saying this:

    Hardware malfunction

Call your provider of support material

    NMI: Parity parity CheckMemory error

    The system stopped *.

Now, I restarted the PXI revived the VI and it works again.

Is there something I can do to ensure that this error will not be shown again?

Thanks in advance for any help

Meh... I know I'll be back on a fairly old post, but I found the solution.

For some reason any installation Vision Acquisition software 8.5.1 created the problem by defining itself as the default driver for the network card. Then, go to 'manage' by right clicking on the 'Bureau', go to the hardware section, network card and select the intel driver solved the problem.

  • Tecra S5 - BSOD on Vista

    Hello

For the last few weeks, I get more and more my Tecra S5 Vista Business 32 BSOD.

    It is normally:

IRQL_GT_ZERO_AT_SYSTEM_SERVICE with STOP: 0x000000004A and different offsets.

Any ideas where it comes from? As it happens after about 15 minutes I suspect the power management Service, the screen saver turns on after 10 and hibernation has been set at 15 minutes. Then I turned off the screen saver and leave display at 20 and sleep to 25 for the socket.

The quick shows only a massive amount of errors in the NDSTray. and BlueTooth.

    Thanks for the pointers.

    Hello!

If you get a BSOD something with your driver or property there.

It's not easy to tell how to solve the problem, perhaps will find you an article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base.

In your case I would reinstall the laptop with the recovery disk.
Maybe it s also the RAM or disk HARD, but after the recovery, you can make sure if it s a hardware or software problem.

  • Tecra A10 - BSOD with Port Replicator Port and external monitor

    Hello

I have a Tecra A10 PTSB0A 05C023 with XP SP3 on an Express Port Replicator, running to an external monitor (1280 x 1024) on VGA. Works fine for a while then seems BSOD spontaneously when not in service - possibly when screensaver or powersaver comes into play.

    BSOD is a STOP 0x0000007E in igxpmp32.sys

I downloaded and installed the latest video drivers intel from the Web from Toshiba - 6.14.10.4953 site

Any help or advice by eliminating the BSOD would be greatly appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Rhys.

    Hi mate,

I asked Google to igxpmp32.sys and this file belongs to the Intel display driver. In your case, I recommend the page Intel searching for the latest display drivers.

Also have a look on the Toshiba site for a BIOS update, or you have already installed the latest version of the BIOS?

In addition, it would be interesting to know what Port Replicator you use exactly. Can you post the model number?

  • Tecra M3 - BSOD if I install the graphics driver

I bought a Tecra M3 about 4 years ago. He has recently started to give the BSOD.

I started in safe mode, and it is fine. I uninstalled the graphics driver and rebooted and it works - just without the graphics driver. As soon as I reinstall the graphics driver it BSOD.

I'm sure that the GPU/VRAM has a problem of 99.9%. Sometimes as the priming of the laptop there is a random corruption on the screen (before xp load).

Of course, the GPU can be replaced without replacing the motherboard together. Replacement motherboard is 800AUD + 200AUD for install it.

In the google search; I found many people with the same problem. Perfect condition laptop Tecra with dead graphics.

The Qosmio is a reminder for the defective Nvidia GPU. The M3 has a Nvidia GPU. Why it can't be fixed too?

    Hello!

    BSOD code, you get exactly?
Maybe the problem is a driver or a software problem.

You try to install display drivers from Toshiba or Nvidia website?
Have you tried reinstalling the laptop using the Toshiba Recovery disk?

Sorry, but for the moment I can say more about it.

  • Tecra A2 - BSOD when installing Windows

    Hello

I have a Tecra A2, I have not used for some time. I decided to start again and he gave me the blue screen of death just after loading Windows XP (before selecting your user profile). He continues to do so after I restarted several times, so I decided to reformat the computer.

I have reformat the computer and Windows XP begins to resettle. After installing I go through all issues of installation such as name, country, time zone, recording etc.. After that's done, I get the blue screen of death again. I restart the computer and it tries to load Windows XP. Then he told me that "the system is not fully installed. Please run Setup again. "Then he gives me the blue screen of death.

Rereformating laptop computer does exactly the same thing as the first time. So I tried to boot the computer with the recovery discs, and that did not help. He finished just gives me the blue screen of death.

    Can someone help me?

    Steve

    Hello!

I agree with Akuma. You should post the BSOD code because there are many of them. If you have the BSOD code, you can search in the Mircorosft Knowledge Base. Often you can find an article on this issue.

In my view, it could be a HARD drive or RAM problem, but together you can check with special tools. Use Memtest86 for RAM and the aptitude Test drive to the HARD drive. The tools that you can find with Google.
