  I was unable to install the Toshiba Value added package (vap-vista-1011btn-en) or any version before it. I talked to technical support Tosh for many times and they always promise of customer support will respond to the request, they never do.

  Towards the end of the installation, start the process of "Computational space needs" an error dialog box that contains "ID_ERR_NOTINSTALLVALZ_MESSAGE". The only option available is 'ok' and when this field is selected the installation rolls back and the finishing screen says "The wizard was interrupted before that TOSHIBA Value Added Package can be installed completely".

  I'm, I'm sure you understand, VERY frustrated by this problem. I bought (the very expensive) Vista Ultimate as Toshiba, claim that this laptop is Vista ready and it is quite possible, but the drivers and software provided are not. I also have problems with:

  Bluetooth
  Free config utility
  WinBIOS updater
  Audio driver
  Graphics driver

  I will record these problems from another thread I want to deal with these problems one at a time.

  I m not very surprised that you are not able to install the Package Toshiba Vista added value.
  All the drivers, tools, and utilities are designed for the 32-bit version of Vista!

  To my knowledge the drivers 32 bit don t run on Vista 64-bit operating system!

  Regarding the error ID NOTINSTALLVALZ ERR MESSAGE.
  It seems that the BIOS update could solve this problem.

  I have Tecra A8 PTA83E lap top model. (Serial No.: X6100725H)
  When I check my audio system in the Control Panel, it is show the types of outputs for 5.1 suround sytem, even some more up to 7...

  I bought a 5.1 speaker system, now I want to connect with the laptop.
  It has two input pins normal for speakers and input microphone.

  When I check the laptop, it has two plugs for the audio output and others for the mic input.

  Could you please tell me this laptop will support, if so, where the decision-making support or what I by an adapter that allows two taken from a jack (laptop audio output)?

  As far as I know this will work with a digital output only sound. At your Tecra this optical port? I don t think so. I know that Toshiba multimedia notebooks have a.
  So I think that you cannot connect to 5.1 surround sound directly on your Tecra.

  Sound in the Panel options are standard options of Vista.

  Hmm... I'm not sure why this Tecra series is not listed on the page of the Australian driver Toshiba but same model Tecra A8E PTA83 is released in Europe also.

  I ve checked the page pilot European Toshiba and found everything to install the drivers successfully on the Tecra A8 PTA83 series...!

  All the XP drivers are available.
  I presume that check you didn t txt file of installation instructions that was placed on the driver page! Am I wrong?

  Please check this document! You must download and install all drivers and tools specified in the right order!
  The proper installation order is important!

  Now, the problem seems to be FIXED!

  This update to the original for model JDM K15 - K20 (= Tecra A8, Satellite Pro A120 in the other world), but my system does work no problem with that, of course, and the normal fan control returns! Beautifully defines the higher speed when I start a C compiler, and sets of speed in silence when I come wroting this forum :)

  What is the number and the model of your graphics card?

  Because your computer is Windows 7 installed, it wil have the latest DirectX version i.e DirectX 11 is installed by default. Here are two things, try.

   

  Step 1: Increase the screen resolution

  If the current driver supports the resolution higher than 1024 x 768, try it.

  Step 2: Update the graphic card drivers

  You can try with below steps if you want:

  Folder Temp light 1).

  (2) close all running Applications.

  (3) close webistes all opened browser.

  (4)disable the firewall temporarily.

  (5) open only Adobe Web site as it is safe and secure site free of all kind of threats.

  (6) then try to download CS 6 Design Standard and check.

  Note: Though the firewall is disabled. do not open applications, files or even other Web sites.

  Or if you think it is still very slow and would not turn off the firewall , you can try with 3' rd party like download managers: IInternet Download Manager , which is more efficient than the browser built in downloader.
