Tecra M4-sale points on the LCD

I recently bought the tecra m4 tablet pc and recently I found something like points Sales appeared on my screen. It's as if the screen protecting the cover was dirty. It shows in every program and at the same place. It feel / looks like scratch and not burnt pixels (you can see what is underneath if you look on the side), looks just like the dirt from the inside!
I tried to clean the screen with special cleaning fluid, but it did nothing.

What can I do to remove it, it is very annoying.

Hello

Are you sure it's dirt?
For me, this looks like a dead pixel.
See this forum on a dead pixel.

  • Tecra 9000 - no display on the LCD screen when you turn on

I recently got a Tecra 9000 for cheap on eBay. I am experienced with the construction and repair of computers, but not so with laptops.

The problem with this laptop, it's that do not display on the LCD screen when you turn on. It was just black, no backlight, nothing. I took the laptop all share, found no obvious problem. I had to turn it on and the screen lights up a few times trying to figure out the problem. Would it be a bad connection? Or something else?

After getting it to start work, I'll try to start to put it back together and it stopped working again. I haven't not been able to reduce it to know if it's a bad connection or a card problem.

Someone at - it suggestions? This is a problem for others here?

As you describe the issue, I think it is somehow a bad connection or a damaged cable, because it does not work once you have disassembled the screen.
Maybe you need to check all the cables, leading motherboard to the LCD and take a close look, maybe for a few scratches or strong curvature.

  • Tecra S1: Notebook generates noise when the LCD display is on

Tecra S1 is 4 years old and generates a high noise when the LCD is turned on (from last week). The noise comes most of the keyboard. Could this be a defunct ups?

Is there an easy way to fix it? It's not very loud, but in a quiet that is audible.

Hmmm I think this noise comes certainly from the FL inverter.
But I can't tell if the inverter is faulty or not because I noticed that her top on different laptops when the brightness of the display is placed on the lower floor.

But if you think that this problem was not present in the past, then you need to contact a technician who could help you replace the inverter FL.

  • Tecra A4: I need the LCD display ICC profile color

    Hello

I have a Tecra A4-SP619 and I need the color of ICC profile for the LCD.

Please, could you help get it?

    Thanks in advance.
    Sergio

    Hello

I put t know why you need this profile, but to my knowledge you n t need this option to use the laptop properly.
The Windows operating system and the graphics driver choose the right color management. You n t need to install anything.
But still, in my opinion this information you will find in the manual of the user of this laptop.

  • Tecra 9000: How to remove the inverter cables?

    Hello
I have a question. Maybe can someone help?
I'm trying to remove the inverter. The cables that go from the inverter to the main Board are easy to remove. (This is a connector). But I can't remove the cables that go to the LCD inverter. Is this also a connector? I should just shoot it? I guess it's a connector, as I see it for sale on eBay, the inverters are without cables, but I just can not remove it by shooting. Can someone give me some advice, please?

    Hello

Unfortunately I can't go into details but, as far as I know FL inverter is connected to the motherboard and it is connected to the connector or kind of jack. It should be just removed.

  • Tecra M7: new stops in the bios the scanner when the lid is closed.

It took me a while to find the problem: energy saving? striker wacom? lol some very stupid "Star" in the new bios of Toshiba.
quote from the toshiba download site:

    * Version 1.70 - 2006-10-24 *.
    * Requirements of Intel incorporated to improve stability.*
    * Because of the changes to make sure that the scanner is not activated when the LCD is ferme.* *.
    * Version 1.60 - 2006-09-21 *.
    * Changed the temperature parameters.*

I have no idea what they were thinking, but since when I move that I often close the lid, it is very, very annoying, because I need to reboot in order to get my Tablet works again. the latest features are not an issue, I'll keep xp pro.

now give me a download link for version 1.6 of the tecra M7 of the bios. Thank you in advance, I'm counting on you.

  • Tecra M2: Can I replace laptops LCD screen SXGA +.

Anyone know if it is possible to change the standard XGA screen, I have in my Tecra M2 with a screen SXGA +. Do I need to change anything other than the LCD?

    Thank you very much.
    D

    Hello

As far as I know, that laptops come with a different hardware configuration. The same series of laptop computer can be delivered with the screen XGA and SXGA screen +.

I think that you can replace your TFT screen to the other, but the display size should be the same.
    I guess the Tecra M2 needs a 14.1 screen.

But why do you want to replace the laptop screen? First of all, you should know that the replacement of the screen isn't easy and it should be done by a technician or a person who has a good laptop experience. In addition, the new view is not cheap. You have to spend about $ 350 for a new game and I think that it s not worth.

    But it's you choice buddy

  • Satellite 1800-100: moves the pointer of the Touchpad is

    Hello
I use my Toshiba Satellite S1800-100 with Accupoint II Touchpad.

But when I do not use the touchpad, the pointer moves itself. I use Windows XP Professional and tried to disable the option "Enhance pointer precision" in the properties of the mouse, but it still happens. I use the XP driver internal standard mouse PS/2.

I also contacted Toshiba support team,

    Any idea?

    Thanks from now.

    Hello

I had the same problem on my Tecra M1. First of all, I tried to remove the blue cover since the pointer of the mouse and remove dust. Unfortunately, it was not better and I made contact with the technicians. The result was changed to keyboard. The pointer of the mouse was defective. Now, I have no problem.

I recommend you to swap the keyboard.

  • Satellite A300 Question on replacing the LCD screen

I had a minor accident with my A300, which ultimately ended in me the screen cracking.
(Yes, I know, what a fool. Believe me, it was a complete accident.)

In any case, the after-sales service is closed until January 5, but I was wondering if anyone might know how a replacement screen would be me back?

Will it cost me more than $80 just to have the 'thing' rated and side on, and I need to know about how I look, as I recently had my end of maternity payments, so we are a middle-income.

    Time to talk Abou...

Change the LCD is a little tricky. You have to remove a lot of and remove the screws much.

This is a forum user to Yes, so I think nobody with experience here's how. I think the best is you go in an ASP.

  • Cannot take Photos using the LCD

I just bought a D60 and when I try to take a picture using the LCD screen and auto focus it won't take the picture.  It will however, when I get out of auto focus or when I use the viewfinder.  But not using the LCD and AV screen on.

Everyone knows about this problem?  If so, how to solve it?

I assume you mean that the 60 d (he was in fact a D60, but it is more than 10 years.)

Development of systems should has enough light and (b) an object with a certain contrast.

For example: she would have a hard time focusing on a wall of ordinary color in dim light.  But if you give him something with contrast, going to an easier time concentrating.

What kind of lighting you have and what kind of subject you want to photograph?

Have you tried to test the system under ideal circumstances (beautiful light bright and contrasting topics?)

Either way... using the camera through the viewfinder will still be faster to use liveview.  The camera actually uses different systems development depending on how you use it.

When you use the viewfinder, autofocus camera sensors use "phase detection".  These sensors are not on the image sensor.   The reflex mirror bounces low light these sensors.  The sensors are looking for contrasting edges.  Through a Prism-like efect, part of the image moves in one direction and in the other part (imagine use a pair of scissors to cut a picture into two halves and then slightly evil align the image along the cut).  The amount of the displacement varies according to the distance of focus on the subject.   The camera is capable of analyzing the pixels along the edge to determine how the two halves should adjust, and with this, it can determine how the focus needs to be adjusted in order to bring together the image.

There is an additional advantage to the phase system to detect.  The system is able to analyze all areas of focus at the same time.  The direction of movement tells the camera that he needs to focus closer or further away.  That means in a moment, the camaera knows _which _ AF point is on the nearest subject and he knows how and to what extent the development must settle before the picture comes to focus.  That means the phase detect AF systems is generally useless to "hunt" for focus... they know exactly which way to turn the update and how far to go to get a lock.

The phase detection system is very fast.

When the camera using the "live view" mode, the reflex mirror was swinging clear so that the light can strike the image sensor.  This means the tiny mirrors that bounce light in the development of phase-detect sensors are not in-game camera cannot use this system.

Instead, it analyzes the image on the sensor trying to achieve maximum contrast in the target areas.

The best example I can think of is to imagine a "UPC code" (bar code) and imagine what it looks like when it is 'in' focus 'out' of focus vs.  If it is, in short, you have a white background with rows of sharp, crisp, black.  But if you think that involved... colors each pixel is 'white' (background) or 'black' (scratches).  There is no pixel 'gray '.    Now, imagine this same barcode horribly blurred... you have a white background, but when you approach a black line, go you through a lot of "grey" get pixels gradually darker until you get to the black parts of the streak.   The camera knows that he emphasized when she reached the highest possible contrast between adjacent pixels.

Unlike the "detection phase" development, the system of 'contrast' doesn't know what direction to adjust to get the update.  It samples should be taken... (adjust and see if it is better or worse... If it gets worse, reverse the sense of the update and try again).  Not only the computer did not have to do further analysis to detect if the image is sharp... He must do more iterations because of the problem of hunting of accent.

Point & shoot cameras and 'live view' mode on cameras digital SLRS generally use this system of the development of "contrast detection.  The system is extremely accurate... but the drawback is that the computer has to analyze the image for contrast several times and it's not nearly as fast as the phase detect sensors (which are usually extremely fast).

Cameras struggle to concentrate when there are nothing to do with contrast high to base its analysis.  They struggle in low light because there is not much difference between the dark and light areas.

Canon has a new system called the "double pixel" AF.  They essentially combined the "phase detection" technology right on the sensor by creating micro-prismes on the surface of the imaging sensor itself.  The camera is actually capable of doing the "phase detection" style auto-focus directly on the surface of the sensor (never possible and Canon are the only company that got it.)

The new 70 d is the first DSLR (and currently only) to get the system.

If shoot you, you don't have the choice... the mirror must be upward in order to record videos so the camera can only use by contrast detection focus when shooting video *-with the exception of the D 70 because he can actually do "phase detection" focus directly on the sensor.

  • I lose the point of the mouse with a desktop in full screen with media center.

I am running windows 7 64 bit. I have a graphics card 9800GT running a monitor and a LCD TV. I have the video installation of screens as extended desktop so that media center can run on the TV while I still have access to other functions of windows on the PC monitor. What happens is that when the library is running full screen on the TV I do not get a pointer on the other TV. When I close the Media Center or move it to full screen, the mouse pointer is still visible on both screens. It's really annoying. Does anyone know how to solve?

I tried your suggestion and it did not work to retrieve the pointer of the mouse, BUT I don't have a partial solution. I bought a MCE remote and it allows me to control MCE well without the mouse. However, the downside is that I can't run other applications using the computer screen (the other view runs MCE) since I have no control of the mouse. Maybe you could help me out here. If I could remap a key on the remote control to switch in MCE mode while I run an app as I have everything that I need. Is there a key combination that will increase MCE from full screen to windowed mode?

However, you must put in a bug report as I see quite a few others see mouse problems MCE running in mode full screen display.

  • Help with pointing to the ATTRIBUTES - Calc Script

    Hi all

I have a question about pointing to the attributes in the calc script:

I want to calculate members (level 0) associated with the attribute 'A', but their parent attribute must be tied to the attribute 'B '.

So if my Sun structure looks like:

    LVL 1: mbr 1 (ATTR = 'B')

    LVL 0: mbr 2 (ATTR = 'A')

    0:MBR lvl 3 (ATTR = 'C')

    lvl1: mbr 4 (ATTR = "D")

    0:MBR lvl 5 (ATTR = 'A')

    0:MBR lvl 6 (ATTR = 'A')

According to the above example, the calculated member list should be: "mbr 2.

I don't know how to do in my script to the PARENT of the CURRMBR its attribute is equal to "B."

The problem is oriented to the PARENT attribute with the IF statement while you run level 0.

I also tried to FIX it, but it was not effective, you can not write FIX (@CHILDREN (@ATTRIBUTE ('B'))).

I'll be happy if someone could share their ideas,

    Thank you

Really?  Documentation (which I corrected not always, I admit) indicates that the parameter mbrList can be 'a comma-delimited list of members grouped together using @LIST or set function member (for example @DESCENDANTS) that returns a list of members.'.

I created an additional attribute of 'MarketSize' with 'GRL' and 'Sml' members in Sample.Basic, then labeled 'East' and 'Central' as "LRG" and found that it works very well:

    DIFFICULTY (@EXPAND ("@CHILDREN", @ATTRIBUTE ("Lrg")))

    "Sales" = 999;

    ENDFIX

  • Takes the Top 10 sales people in the reverse order.

    Hello

    I'm running on 11.1.1.6.0 on Database 11 g OBIEE 11 g.

    The current scenario is:

I have four columns that is to say: 'Sales Person', year, Dollars and RANK ($).
I sort descending first year then $.
I have this selection created on the output results:
Then, continue to only members of the 'Clients '. "' Sales Person ' for Top 10 based on 'SalesFacts '. «"$", For: year: "1998.00', ' 1999.00'»»

with the 3 points above. I am able to see the top of page 10 'Sales Person's for the year 1998, then the same "sales people" are listed in 1999, but with different classification.

The report now need to reach is that:

I need to have the top 10s 'Sales Person' for the year 1999, then same "sales people" should be included in 1998, but with different classification. Basicall a bit chronologically reverse what is be shown above.

    Thank you
    srik.

    Hi srik,.

I think that your condition could be achieved in this way

1 create a new measure YAGO-Dollars using the AGO() and the time hierarchy.

    2. in your report, include another column called "previous year rank" with the function as RANK("YAGO-DOLLARS").

The steps above would you get $ for the year 1998 for the same type of sale and you could put him too.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you

  • MessageBroker null in the LCDs samples?

Forgive me, but I'm having issues, obtain samples of LCDs to run under Tomcat 6.0.  I sent all the war 3 files included in the download (ds - console.war and lcds.war, LCDs - samples.war) and none of the examples applications seem to work.  It seems that the result of the call to MessageBroker.getMessageBroker (null); is always set to null, causing null pointer exceptions.  I was able to install and run the BlazeDS samples without error.  Is there something special I need to do to get the LCD screens running those?

    Hi Steve,.

Look at some of the errors it seems that you lack jta.jar. Can you put the logs in a ftp location that I can access?

I suggest you first try to use the turnkey Tomcat installation that comes with the installation of screens LCD and see if it work. If Yes, then I suggest that you copy the missing jars in your distribution of tomcat. The pots are part of your webapp as well as those that are part of the tomcat lib directory.

    Hope that helps.

    Rohit

Hi Rohit - I've never had this problem is resolved.  Above all, I wanted to run the samples so I could have an example of a job for the tests, I was put in place through our WebLogic Portal.  Since you kindly helped me solve, I had basically given up on samples.

I use a previously installed instance of Tomcat v6.  I downloaded the samples and deploy the lcds.war and LCDs - samples.war, ds - console.war into my existing installation archives.  I did the same thing with the BlazeDS samples and they worked fine, but not LCDs that don't work.  If it's an easy fix, I would still get the working samples because we also hope to be able to use the screens LCD data management services, and I need to understand the functioning of those.

    Hi Steve,.

Have you managed to solve the following problem (see below)? If so, what was the problem.

If this is not the case, this can be due to:

    (a) the data source is not configured correctly. If you can send the complete Tomcat console trace, I might be able to help.

    (b) I have observed in addition, you use a different port than what we set up in Tomcat embedded (8400). You use your own Tomcat or that comes with LCDs?
