Tecra M2: Can I replace laptops LCD screen SXGA +.

Anyone know if it is possible to change the standard XGA screen, I have in my Tecra M2 with a screen SXGA +. Do I need to change anything other than the LCD?

Thank you very much.
D

Hello

As far as I know, that laptops come with a different hardware configuration. The same series of laptop computer can be delivered with the screen XGA and SXGA screen +.

I think that you can replace your TFT screen to the other, but the display size should be the same.
I guess the Tecra M2 needs a 14.1 screen.

But why do you want to replace the laptop screen? First of all, you should know that the replacement of the screen isn't easy and it should be done by a technician or a person who has a good laptop experience. In addition, the new view is not cheap. You have to spend about $ 350 for a new game and I think that it s not worth.

But it's you choice buddy

  • Is this ok to turn off V-sync on your laptop / LCD screen

Is this ok to turn off V-sync on your laptop / LCD screen? I know they have a refresh rate of 60 Hz but it will happen if I turn off the V-Sync? good or bad? I know that nVIDIA recommends turning off V-sync to solve problems of stuttering with their current drivers until the next version of driver that is supposed to be in June, so that's why I want to have an answer of expertise regarding the V-sync on your laptop / LCD screen, how it)

    Hello berryracer,

The V-sync is the vertical sync.

I can't recommend V-Sync by in the game if possible, there not much difference from native or forced, other than forced takes slightly more resources.

In addition, on the Triple Buffering. The triple-buff forced Control Panel works on application based on OpenGL.

If a game has an anti aliasing, anisotropic filtering or any other option in the game its always best to use the set option instead of forcing by the graphics card Control Panel.

Usually turning off V-sync increases the FPS, you can check it out.

  • Satellite A100 - display balack after replacing the LCD screen

    Hello

So I'm trying to fix a LCD on a Satellite A100. The girl I am set as said she accidentally hit the screen with his hand and became black.

When you turn on the laptop I can here windows activate, nothing is on the LCD screen. It is not the backlight, because I don't see anything on the screen at all. So I bought a replacement LCD screen and that one does not work either. Same question

I think it is the inverter, any suggestions?

    Could be the sensor cover?

    Thank you! Kyle

    Hi Kyle,.

Did you buy this new LCD screen to a service provider authorized? I ask this question because it would be interesting to know if it s a Toshiba valid a party or 3rd party a spare.

Did you check the connection of the LCD cable? There may be a link to lose or the cable itself is touched.
Theoretically, it might be the FL inverter too, but I doubt that. Otherwise, you'd see something on the screen but very dark.

    Jawa

    Hi Jawa

In my opinion there is not a lot of options. You can order parts by authorized service partners or order it from some independent PC shop. Check if you can find a partner in your countries, or maybe someone else (they can send you everything you need to). Another way Google a little bit and I'm sure you'll find someone who can send you a new LCD screen for your laptop.

On the price I can't tell you much because we walked free and the price is different from one country to the other.

  • Tecra 9000 - no display on the LCD screen when you turn on

I recently got a Tecra 9000 for cheap on eBay. I am experienced with the construction and repair of computers, but not so with laptops.

The problem with this laptop, it's that do not display on the LCD screen when you turn on. It was just black, no backlight, nothing. I took the laptop all share, found no obvious problem. I had to turn it on and the screen lights up a few times trying to figure out the problem. Would it be a bad connection? Or something else?

After getting it to start work, I'll try to start to put it back together and it stopped working again. I haven't not been able to reduce it to know if it's a bad connection or a card problem.

Someone at - it suggestions? This is a problem for others here?

As you describe the issue, I think it is somehow a bad connection or a damaged cable, because it does not work once you have disassembled the screen.
Maybe you need to check all the cables, leading motherboard to the LCD and take a close look, maybe for a few scratches or strong curvature.

  • Resolution of the different native screen after replacing the LCD screen

I recently had my HP Pavilion DV7 laptop screen replaced after getting a crack in it. He was sent to HP for repair and she came back yesterday with a new brand, screen exactly like my old. While the screen looks the same as the old, when I started, it is a completely different resolution. On the old screen that broke the (maximum) native resolution was 1600 x 900. However, on the new, the (maximum) native resolution is 1920 x 1080. I'm still able to go back to 1600 x 900, but when I do the text becomes blurry. I suppose I could use the 1920 x 1080, but it would take a lot of time to get used to it, especially since I am using 1600 x 900 for two years. So my question is, why is there another native resolution and is it possible to fix the blur with 1600 x 900? I don't understand why all this is happening, because the screen looks exactly like my old, same size and all. I don't know of changes to software that took place or the other, all what has been messed with to my knowledge was the physical display.

    Thank you!

    Hello:

From the sound of it, HP has replaced your original screen with better resolution by mistake.

There is nothing you can do except to report it to the support of HP and ask to the screen to be replaced by one of the same characteristics as yours, or you will have to get used to the larger screen real estate and more small text and objects, or use a different resolution which may be more attractive to you.

  • technical question about the laptop LCD screen

    Hello

I see in youtube change that a laptop screen is quiet easy.

1 but is it dangerous to change the lamp or the laptop LCD converter when it is damaged?

    2. I know when the screen goes black and you can barely see an image in bright light you lost the lamp or the inverter, but how you can know if it is the inverter or the lamp?  because the inverter converts direct current to an electrical outlet which needs the lamp.

    Thank you

For assistance, contact the manufacturer of your laptop.  Thank you!

  • T510 with dock: can I use a LCD screen and a TV high definition?

I am setting up this configuration for my boss using Windows 7.   Basically, it is three monitors, an extended desktop.  The laptop screen is 1 monitor, Samsung LCD screen is 2 and I just connected (using the display port) a Panasonic HDTV.  So, he wants to use all three and be able to drag windows on all three.  All three show on display properties, but I can't seem to get the HDTV to work.   If I 'disconnect' Samsung LCD screen, I can get the HDTV to display an image.

If I use two LCD screens, I can make them work.  HDTV just won't work with an external LCD display.

Does anyone have this same configuration?

    Thank you

    Joe

If you duplicate the monitor then they must be on the same resolution.

  • First Elements 7 can be split 2 LCD screens?

    Hello

1 first Elements 7 workspace, etc. divide between 2 LCD screens?

2 East-GeForce GTS 250 or Quadro NVS or 1700, best or proper to PE7?

    Thank you.

You should have no problem splitting on two monitors, LCD or CRT display. PE4, there is a limitation, and I think it was the timeline. Don't know if this limitation still exists with PE7. I've shared between 2 21 "CRT (for PrPro), but not as my calendar to be broken by the two monitors, so never use this way. Steve Grisetti can tell you if PE7 still has this limitation with the timeline panel, but you can get everything on the second monitor afer 'disconnect you' them.

With respect to the GPU, unless you're doing more work NLE, like 3D, the Quadro will be exaggerated. I have one on my desktop and even with light 3D, it's more that I need. Good card, but I probably should have spent the extra of $ for another HARD drive (even if this machine has 6 already). Any card that is capable of double-head will work. Just be sure to check the connections and the specifications for each display. My Quadro will handle anything and everything I need were conversion adapters to drive my CRT.

I like my nVidia, but lately, there have been problems with Adobe products and new nVidia drivers. The time that Adobe and nVidia are associated, the drivers went south to Adobe products. Go figure? ATI has received good reviews on most of Adobe for one, and their drivers seem to work very well.

When I do NLE my computer work 17 "laptop, I travel everywhere in me, because I'm used to the double monitors on the floor.

    Good luck

  • Computer laptop LCD screen showing nothing.

I stop the laptop yesterday evening. Tempted to put on in the morning but the LCD display lights don't. Windows boots to the top, the fan runs, the DVD player shows an activity, I can hear the windows startup sound, but not display on screen.

On the search through the forums, I came across a few tests to isolate the problem.

    I tried:

    1. the BIST(Built in self test) LCD: Passes. All colors are displayed without distortion of any kind. Crystal clear display.

    2. connect the laptop to an external display: pass. I have connected to a VGA monitor. The screen lights up. I'm typing this message by using the form external infact.

As these two tests have been passed by the laptop. I don't know what the problem is. Is it the cable or something else? Please Guide.

    Thanks in advance.

    Vanjul.

    Hello

Thanks for the quick response. One thing I would like to add that I found the display was not Virgin but VERY dim as it was almost invisible.

I checked with a local technician. He changed the display cable, but the laptop screen has always had a very dark view.

The culprit remaining was the motherboard. I did check and found that some officials of the transistor brightness control has gone wrong. He replaces it and Voila!

The screen is back to normal. Thanks for the help of sir. Very much appreciated.

  • Satellite A300 Question on replacing the LCD screen

I had a minor accident with my A300, which ultimately ended in me the screen cracking.
(Yes, I know, what a fool. Believe me, it was a complete accident.)

In any case, the after-sales service is closed until January 5, but I was wondering if anyone might know how a replacement screen would be me back?

Will it cost me more than $80 just to have the 'thing' rated and side on, and I need to know about how I look, as I recently had my end of maternity payments, so we are a middle-income.

    Time to talk Abou...

Change the LCD is a little tricky. You have to remove a lot of and remove the screws much.

This is a forum user to Yes, so I think nobody with experience here's how. I think the best is you go in an ASP.
