Tecra M4 tablet mode problem

I have a Tecra M4 which is about 4 weeks. All of a sudden (without changing any settings or install new software) it will not now go into tablet mode. When I turn the screen and click it down, it turns off and by connecting an external monitor, I discovered that he thinks that I closed the lid upright and it won't Hibernate.
I checked all the settings of the software that might. According to me, that must be a hardware fault in the switch is signalling a closing lid instead of an operation in tablet mode.
I called Technical Support, but the guy was not able to offer much help & I was told to try to first update the BIOS later and then restore to the software installed at the factory. It did nothing so far.

Has anyone else seen elsewhere? I guess it's back to Toshiba.

Hello

Well, it was a good decision to contact the ASP because if there is a hardware fault covered all replacements.
Hope that your machine will not work properly.

Good bye

  • Tecra M4 Tablet keys in Photoshop

    Hello
I have a problem with the Tecra M4 Tablet buttons in Photoshop in tablet mode.

In PS, you VERY often need special keys SHIFT, Alt, and Ctrl I tried to set these keys of tablet in the settings of the Tablet, but it doesn't work at all in Photoshop. Only of simple as keystrokes "Ctrl +" are detected. This is a major issue for me, because without the special key, the workflow in Photoshop is just awful (I use the keyboard of the screen currently) and it's not really fun to use in the other laptop great respect in tablet mode.

Furthermore, is it possible to change the settings of the tablet to the far left key? 3 keys and arrow 4 keys isn't that much, and I don't like to give up a key for a function that I don't need.

    Hello Phoenix

As far as I know if you want to change the actions of the tablet buttons it will work in the OS itself, but it is not designed to be set up in other applications. As you know on the marker of there are thousands of different programs or software packages and it is not possible to create a kind of universal parameters. Sorry, but I'm not sure that you will be able to define these buttons for PS

  • revolve 810 will not in tablet mode

I have a HP revolve 810 G1 which won't in tablet mode.   Someone at - it ideas why this would be or if it's just a setting that should be adjusted?

Thanks for your reply, but the problem seems to be updates BIOS F.47 day & 8.1 of Windows that have been installed.  I found some messages from users having the same problem and when I went down the BIOS to version F.44, when everything started to work.  I hope HP fixes this problem with the next update of the BIOS.

  • Portege M200 detects not in tablet mode

I just got my M200 return of warranty repair, where it had its motherboard replaced. He seems to have acquired the accelerometer utilities and functionality of motion detection, which either were not there or I wasn't aware of before (he had a clean rebuild several times, and I was never invited to calibrate this utility). However, it seems more to be able to detect its current mode of operation - that is, it is no longer the screen automatically rotates when I switch to Tablet mode, and when I put features such as Tablet Access Code to work in tablet mode, they don't work at all no matter what mode.

Also, I just checked the power settings, and nothing happens when the lid is closed, regardless of the setting here. The machine continues to operate, and I see that the backlight is always on, shining out of the closed case.

It seems to me as they neglected to connect the lid close button, which I guess would be she realizes how it went in tablet mode, as well as when to turn off the backlight etc. for a lid close. I tried pressing the cover independently close button and nothing happens. I suspect it's going to be an another money-back guarantee, but nobody knows what I might be missing?

    Can someone advise?

    Hello Tim

On your device, there are too many different problems, and it must be checked properly. I know that you may want to solve the easier way, but I believe that without service partner there is no much to do. Please contact them and ask for complete verification.

They should use the factory settings and test everything, especially compressed usage mode.

  • Portege M200: the screen is blank when you switch to Tablet mode

    Hello.

Have a problem with my Portege M200 and after hours of searching for a solution, I'm still at a complete loss as to how to fix it.

Essentially, when you attempt to switch to Tablet mode - or if I press the button cover closed 'sensor' on the far right, which is essentially the same thing: the screen goes black.

This means that I can not in tablet mode at all.

What happens across multiple operating systems and will happen even before that an operating system has started. Of course, I checked that when in Windows, the option "When I close the lid" is set to do nothing and I even checked for any cable setting in bios but saw nothing relevant.

As far as I know this has only started happening since I sent it for repair with toshiba a month or two back (motherboard has been replaced I think).

No way to control it via software or am I'm going to have to send it for repair again?

    > Like as far as I know that this has only started happening since I sent for repair with Toshiba a couple months back (motherboard has been replaced I think). Anyway to control this via software or am I'm going to have to send it for repair again?

You description, it looks more like a hardware problem as a problem of software because this happens before an operating system has started. That's why I would exclude a software problem.

In your case I would recommend you to contact the ASP again and explain the whole situation with your laptop.

    Good luck

  • M200 & Multidock II the external display orientaion is upside in tablet mode

With the Portege M200 and II Mutidock I wanted to log in and use an external monitor, so I could use the M200 to draw/write on Tablet mode everything glancing outside, but little matter I try in screen orientation, one of the screens is backwards is not usable.
It's a feature announced, so I expect there's a way to guide the tablet screen a way while still getting the external monitor to display vertical position?
    Thank you

    Hello

The resolution of this problem is actually very simple. Go to display properties. Then click on the last tab on the right, and then click Advanced. Change the settings for the "second monitor" to "extend my Windows desktop on this monitor. This should fix the problem of the display 2nd upside down. Have a great day.

  • Intermittent Bluetooth - Tecra M4 Tablet

My Tecra M4 Tablet is about 1 year ago. XP SP2 Tablet OS running. Last year, once a month my bluetooth mouse can not connect. My normal dose is to turn off bluetooth in the systray and re - activate. This is usually the case. However from time to time during the process of re - activate this does not work.

The symptom of signature is a quick triple beep when he tries to turn it back on. I also see that the address of the device numbers 00:00:00:00:00:00 under the bluetooth options window (use cases).

Today I tried to reinstall the last stack bluetooth from the Toshiba Web site (it was already installed several months ago, when I first encountered the problem) version 4.00.36 (T). This helped my bluetooth work for about 10 minutes. I rediscovered my mouse. After having turned off the computer for a while, after the reboot, back to the same problem.

Another symptom of the problem is that I get the message "bluetooth is not ready" when you try to find out the mouse.

I thought that this could be linked to the fact, my computer runs very hot at full power, or maybe it's related to my wireless at home and work, but it signals is not seam to be the problem - too inconsistent, given that I have no problem for a few weeks in the two environments.

Any help or suggestions are welcome

    Hello

Wireless LAN can be a VERY GOOD reason, why bluetooth fails, both work almost the same frequency (2.4 Ghz).
There are other factors like cell phones, mobile phones @ home, features electronic as the microwave ovens and etc and many other things that can disrupt your
    Bluetooth connection.

So if you can exclude any of these factors I you said above, then it would be better for you to bring your machine to a local ASP for verification of material.

    Welcome them

  • Cover for the keys in Tablet Mode

Is there a blanket I can buy or hack something to hide the keys in tablet mode? Thank you!

    Hey there,

I kind of solved the problem by picking up this sleeve Lenovo Yoga 500 that has stuff and port cutouts, I put the part inside keyboard when you use desktop mode - it leaves not the device fold all the way in tablet mode, but it's great for transport.

Try to find something similar to which is here.

  • ThinkPad Yoga S1 2nd Gen crashing in Tablet Mode

    Hi all.

I received a second generation Yoga Thinkpad S1 12 a few days ago. Everything works fine, except the Tablet mode. Sometimes when I'm browsing the web in tablet mode, the unit freezes. In addition, whenever I change direction, the device almost certainly crashes.

After going in the Task Manager, I discovered that the use of the disc going up to 100% for some reason any of several times in tablet mode, which is most likely the culprit. I'm pretty sure that the ISD_Tablet.exe driver is having a major memory leak that is the origin of overconsumption of disc.

I have already restarted, restored and updated through Windows Update Lenovo updated and several times, but no solution has been found.

Any of you guys have any ideas?

    Hey, it's me again.

Nevermind, I fixed the problem. I've updated the BIOS 1.10 of Lenovo update, and the problem disappeared.

  • Keyboard yoga 900 arise does not in Tablet Mode

I've had settings and devices and clicked on the box I was supposed to click on.

In TABLET mode, when I touch the Google to enter text inside bar, the keyboard does not appear, so I have to manually launch the keyboard then when I finished I have to manually close the keyboard because there is no button 'DONE' or 'GO' or 'ENTER' on the keyboard in tablet mode.

    Thank you for your suggestions.

I'm afraid that the resolution of this problem lies with Google. The Chrome browser does not trigger local keyboard in tablet mode. It is a desktop application that does not use the API of Windows 10 news for this feature. Personally, I doubt that Google will rush to remedy this.

As you have discovered, Microsoft Edge brings up the local keyboard in tablet mode. IE11 goes.

It is a problem with Word, rather than the 900 of Yoga, I think. I see the same thing on a Surface of 3 in tablet mode. You have two options to work around this problem:

    (a) turn off "Tablet Mode" to display the icon of the keyboard on the taskbar. Touch which will bring up the keyboard on the screen. Your physical keyboard should always be disabled when the 900 Yoga is bent in the Tablet configuration.

    (b) use the Word Mobile instead of the full word. It has all the features, but at least it will bring up the keyboard on the screen automatically in tablet mode.

  • 15-f233wm HP: Tablet Mode is one thing?

Im not-very-proud owner of the 15-f233wm 10 Windows laptop, however, two questions

    • Is it possible to change your 15-f233wm in a pill?
    • If so, how?

This is NOT official HP customer service and I, like most other people on this forum do not work for HP. It is a forum for users of peer-to-peer support for HP products. HP maintains no official presence on this forum and it is unlikely that HP will respond in an official capacity. Response of an employee of HP represents his own opinion and not that of HP.

Based on the HP laptop - 15-f233wm (ENERGY STAR) specifications, this model is a low end machine. In addition, it is a standard laptop with no opportunity to 'split' into a tablet. Tablet mode is used with laptops that have a screen that can be separated from the keyboard... SO No, it cannot be used in tablet form.

With regard to the fixing of everything you think is the problem with your computer... try official HP customer support.
