Tecra M4: Windows MCE Installation files

Hello

I noticed a "C:\CMPNENTS\MEDIACTR" directory on my Tecra M4, and I was wondering if it is the installation of Windows Media Center Edition files?

If so, I can install these?

friend

Erik

Hello

I put t believe this could work because your camera has the Tablet PC operating system. But why you n t create a restore point in System Restore tool and try to install it. Do a little experiment. You can always restore the operating system to the previous time using created restore point.

Good bye

    Hi, Leon,

Always include computer make and model, please.  Thank you.

Research in the Bios (reboot and press F1 or F2 depending on your system, check that all usb options are enabled (for example, USB legacy or support for USB 2.0 devices).)

If there is a timeout parameter, set it to Max.

Then, find the boot device priority section

A USB flash drive, which is usually listed as USB - HDD, but may be listed as a removable device, will have a priority very low start.

Rearrange the boot device priority so that the flash drive has a higher priority than the hard drive.

Install Windows XP from USB key

    • Insert the USB key into the USB port on the computer.

    • Open the "I386" folder and find the file "Winnt.exe".

Double-click on the "Winnt.exe" to launch a command prompt BACK to an installation of Windows XP.

Type the path of the location of your "I386" folder in the DOS window. For example, if your USB is the letter "D" in your "My Computer" window, type "d:\i386" without the quotes and press the Enter"" key.

Let the installation program copy the Windows XP installation files on your computer.

Restart your computer to a command prompt. The Windows XP Setup will continue automatically.

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. The program will ask you your Windows XP product key in this process.

    Hello

Unfortunately, this path is not easy to say anything because, who know what did you do with OS and how is your personal configuration. If this problem occurs because some time roll back OS to an earlier time using System Restore tool.

Also check this page useful http://www.helpwithwindows.com/techfiles/explorer-crashes.html maybe you'll find some answers there.

    Hello

What installation media you are using?

    Method 1:

Error 0 x 80070017 translates "CRC error" which means that the files that are copied from the disc are not making it to the hard drive with the same structure, which means that the 'original' the disk files are modified/changed/corrupted while being copied to the location of the 'destination' on your disk during Setup.

This usually means a bad DVD, or an error reading on the DVD player.

I suggest you follow the link and check.

    Disable the anti-virus software

Error code 0 x 80070005 usually indicates that you don't have enough privileges or the operation is blocked. I know, some programs (Boot Camp on a Mac PC, etc.) is not compatible with Windows 7, if you have installed these programs on the computer, you may not be able to perform the upgrade.  You should uninstall these programs before upgrading. In addition, such a question may be related to UAC, I recommend you turn off UAC in Windows Vista, if you have installed security software, try uninstalling the security application as well.

  • Windows cannot copy files required for installation. The files may be damaged or missing. Error code: 0 x 80070241.

I had a lot of trouble trying to install the 64-bit version of windows 7 Home Premium on my 64-bit vista, and my question is multi-part. If it is relevant, it's my 2nd copy of windows 7 I have tried. Initially, I had the problem of not being able to run the installation on two copies with the error "'autorun.dll' could not be found or is damaged. Error code is [0x7E]. "However, I managed to get into with my 2nd copy installation after restarting my computer. Once in Setup, I got another error that stopped the installation that says "windows not could create an installation folder. Error code is 0 x 80070017. "Again, I rebooted my computer and started the installation again, this time following installation was decently through but stopped when I got the error"Windows cannot copy files required for installation. The files may be damaged or missing. Try to install the program using the original media, or contact your system administrator. "coupled with the error"the file 'autorun.dll' could not be loaded or is corrupt. I understand that my problem is very complex, but it seems to be built around a missing or damaged file. Thanks if you can tell what's wrong or what to do.
