    Hello

I have a Tecra S1 laptop. I accidentally 'ping' the key "N". I have now the key and three small plastic parts. None of them doesn't apperar to be broken, but I can't work out how to fix them all together and replace the key on the keyboard. Does anyone have a diagram key parts or advice.

    Thank you.

    Hello

If you are sure that the parts are not broken, carefully remove the other some but just the top button. On this way, you can see how everything is put together. This top is very easy to get back on the right position. Simply press the carefully plastic part on the right position.

  • Tecra A10 with wrong source IP address ping responses

    Hello!

I have problems with my network connection.

After installing Win7 pro answers tecra A10 ping on the lan with 192.168.0.239 port, but he 192.168.211.36 the DHCP server.
In Wireshark on tecra A10 I don't see demand for IGMP but no answer.

On the other PC the answer comes a false IP (and of course a wrong MAC).
If I disconnect the lan cable a stop responses.
If I boot in Linux, everything's fine.

So what software changes IP address?
I see no answer in wireshark, I think it might be something around the network card.
Internet is OK, but I can't do any remote.

Someone at - it an idea?

If your problem is the remote control only, right?

If I understand right you don t use original Toshiba recovery image so no one here Don t know exactly what have you installed and you do exactly.
If your LAN/WLAN card working properly and you can connect to your router, this proves that there is no hardware problem.

Have you tried the same thing with the original preinstalled recovery image?

  • Tecra M5: Can not access the internet pages, but can ping in cmd.exe

Hi all, this is confusing to me.

I've been happily connected to my WLAN for more than a year without any problems. I recently updated my drivers for the following on my Tecra M5:

    -Intel Pro Wireless adapt
    -Drivers audio Sigmatel
    -nVidia graphics card

Now, after facilities, everything was fine. However, a few days later, I turned on the laptop and went to IE7 and it cannot display the web page (my homepage is www.google.co.uk). I called my ISP to help and they reported problems on the service, and they gave me the www.google.co.uk ip address I got a response of in cmd.exe. It seems that I can get out on the internet but I can't access the Web pages - it could be a DNS issue?

I have disabled my A - V and firewall and tried but get the same question. I also tried to restore the PC back more than a month and it did not help either. I'd appreciate any help that anyone can give.

I also plugged the laptop directly into the router using an ethernet cable, so it's not only a wireless issue either.

I have installed any other software at all at the moment and the only other thing that got my attention, it's that, in the field of restoration, there a lot of system restore points, which I wasn't expecting to see in the last month. But it could be a Kipper.

    Thank you very much

    Hello

According to your message, you are not able to connect to internet via LAN and WLan. Is this good?

Well, in your case I would first check the router settings and re still.
In addition, you must reset the router.

Usually, the router assigns the IP address, and therefore you would just plug the laptop LAN cable and then should be able to connect to the internet.
Please note that the TCP/IP protocol settings must be set to automatic.

    Check everything first!

  • Tecra A3 - strange network problem

    Hello
    I have 3 new Tecra A3, all loaded with W2K sp4, all logging to a W2K domain.
If I try to ping from another pc (or server) on the network, everythings fine.
BUT if I try to map a drive to a different pc/server (go start - run - \\xxxx\c$), it fails.
However, if I plug a pcmcia (Greycell 2200) network card I can map a drive with no problems.
Naturally I loaded the latest drivers on the Toshiba site, but it is always a failure.
Then... .it seems there is a problem with the built-in LAN card (Marvell Yukon) as it's the same problem on 3 different Tecra A3.
FYI: we also Tecra A2, M2, M3 & computers Dell desktop, but none of them has the same problem.
    Help!

There are many problems with these cards not only in the Toshiba machines and Yukon. If you get the latest version of the driver it will solve the problem. Now the driver on the Web site is v 7.29.4.3 but there is a version 8, but is not the list on Tecra A3 but the Tecra M3 and also for XP, however these are he's conditioning set upward, combined, then work XP driver / will include the right parts for W2K. Otherwise all the Yukon view will be latest version.

Sure this will solve your problem

I have a Tecra 8200 running Windows 2000. I ran all the latest news from the BONE. I put the built in Wifi Lucent card and can communicate Ad Hoc with an another toshiba laptop with a wireless Belkin 54 g card. After a few minutes of inactivity, the Tecra 8200 can no longer access the remote computer. • Tecra A4 fluctuating wireless.

    I have a new Tecra A4 and a BT Voyager 2100 router.

I had the router for some time and never had a problem using it with any products before, I have other laptops that connect to it and can use it without any problem.

However my new A4 seems to have 'questions' to a clean boot, with no applications running, a ping to the router can fluctuate from 1 ms to expired and all points between. The speed of the network can also fluctuate from 54 Mbit/s to 1 Mbit/s and also often loses the connection.

As I say, other devices with the same network configuration do not have this problem and the distance between the router doesn't seem to be a factor either, as happens in the same way in any room of the House. I've removed the other sources of interference, I tried to change the network type / speed / channel and the problem persists. Im not sure what else to try, can someone point me in the right direction please?

    Hello

Is a wireless card disabled when you use Bluetooth? You can turn it off using the FN + F8 key combination. Disable the wireless connection while using Bluetooth. Maybe it helps.

  • Tecra 8200 freezes every few minutes with the XP Pro Retail version

I've updated a Tecra 8200 with a retail version of Windows XP Pro SP2 (256 MB RAM) it was a new installation after reformatting the drive. I think I've loaded all Microsoft Windows updates and drivers from the site Web of Toshiba.
The laptop freezes for about 30 seconds every few minutes, even when you try to open a session.
Also when starting for the first time there is a constant repetitive ping of the noise, which I assume is the hanging windows startup sound. Finally, it stops and it can be used for a few minutes.

    Can someone please?

    Hello

In my opinion, you should buy more RAM. As far as I know, this unit can manage with 512 MB max. You can use PC100 256 MB (PA3069U - 1 M 25). I'm sure the spirit more RAM there are much more likely to make it work.

I hope that all hardware components are recognized and installed correctly. You can also try to check which processes are active and I advise you to stop. On this way, the processor has more power for other applications.

  • Ping on ios

Hello everyone, I discovered that when I do a ping on my router (192.168.1.1) local, Ping is about 30 ms, which is very high, but when I'm with airplay, the same test give me a ping of 2 ms, which is normal. you have the same problem?

ON the picture you can see ping before and after the air game is activated

    Thanks for your replies.

I suspect the iPads wifi radio is in low power mode when no data is sent. This can have an overhead projector as the effects of the weather. iOS is not a 'performance raw BONES' is designed to save energy when it is possible to improve the user experience.

When you run radio Airplay is sending and receiving data constantly, so the ping is faster that the radio is not disabled and re-enabled. The schedule isn't too out of the ordinary for me, you have a problem or you're simply curious?

Try again when the download / streaming video or something that keeps the wifi connection active, it cannot be just Airplay making faster ping.

You should also know that the router is another part of this conversation - it allocates resources to the stream to devices too, it may be faster when not having does not respond intermittently to a device. It also directs clean power for radio, etc.

  • My email on my iPad (version 8.4.1) application froze on a white page. I tried to power down and restart. I know I get emails that I can hear the ping and see numbers on the app. It has been frozen for a day and I have no way to display

My email on my iPad 2 (IOS 8.4.1) froze last night on a blank page I was trying to send a few photos. • Internet slow (ping) on Macbook (mid-2012)

I a mid 2012 macbook pro (non-retine) and recently started having slower speeds of the internet. When you use the Ookla speed test, my ping is generally more than 200 (sometimes as high 700); my download speed is around 3 Mbps, when it is usually around 7. I thought it was the internet connection, but then I checked with an Ipad on the same connection, internet speed was 7mbps (ping was 40). When I try the speedtest on some sites powered by Ookla (like my Qwest or at the & t support site, it won't even run the speed test, saying that there is a latency error, or there is a firewall between my computer and the server).

What I tried that did not work:

Turn off the firewall in my security/privacy settings.

Removing a silverlight program I had downloaded recently play video on a local Web site, so I don't know if that would be a factor.

Remove the DivX program, based on what I've read in another similar post on the forum.

    * I did not run an uninstall on these programs, but just moved to the trash, then maybe it is needed?

Change my DNS openDNS numbers numbers. I've since changed my original numbers.

    Any suggestions?

Also, I tried to plug directly into my DSL cord and without wifi. The same problem.

  • Tecra Z40 - A - 16 c - indicator battery life problem

    Hello

    As from 2015, I own a Toshiba Tecra Z40 - A - 16 c.

I noticed a strange behavior regarding the battery life indicator. When the laptop is fully charged, the indicator shows 100% remaining. And when I use the laptop, the percentage drops slowly, as expected.
However, as soon as somewhere around 50%, the indicator is suddenly decreases and says he has only 5 or 4% left and I should switch it on immediately.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

    Kind regards
    Oliver

The battery may need calibration. Load and unload completely several times.

If it happens again, the battery needs replacing. You can check the level of wear using HWMonitor from cpuid.com.

After trying everything to solve this problem, maybe someone on the Forum Toshiba can help

My Tecra Z50-A-11-R does not identify the i-phone or i - pad. I get a message that he noticed that an i-phone has been connected, but that may not be correctly identified.
I tried different devices but keep getting the same message. When the devices to connect to other computers, they are identified. So the question must be with the laptop.
Has anyone else experienced the same thing and found a solution?
    Thanks in advance.

It works in one of the other USB ports?
Maybe it will work better in the black USB2 port.
