Temporary profile problem
I have a Dell inspiron 15z ultrabook and it came by default with windows 8, I've had this laptop for a while now and he barely gave me no problem. But yesterday a free update to windows 8.1 came and I clicked on it and he started download while downloading my computer was turned off due to the fact that I had not plugged in and when I turned it on it went straight to a temporary account when I registered my account only there are only a few tiles on the startscreen of windows and are none of my icons on my desktop. How to bring back my stuff? Help, please

Common problem with temporary profiles being loaded
I have a recurring problem with temporary profiles being loaded. This problem appears more widespread when moving from one user to another. Usually it is a user with administrative privileges to a user with admin rights, but also occurs when switching between non-Admin users. Reboot allows profile to be loaded successfully. I saw posts on what it needs to be done with a single corrupt profile, but have not seen anything about this type of persistent problem.
Corruption of persistent profiles can be caused by 1) malware infection; (2) defective material. I would like to start by making a thorough analysis and then if the computer is clean, test the equipment. This last start by testing the RAM, then the hard drive.

Very strange problem occurred recently and I can't seem to find an answer for. The domain administrator account would sign on with a temporary profile between multiple clients. This problem has been resolved, had to do with the user directories. Now the question that came is the option restart is missing in the stop menu. Ive looked at the Group Policy settings and also check the admin account is in correct safety both locally and on the field. Now it is a new computer that was recently added to the domain, and it has Windows 7 Enterprise on this. The domain controller is windows server 2008 R2. Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem? Something I may have missed?
Thanks in advance!
A computer with your connected admin account, try to run Resultant Set of Policy RSOP. SMC and check the following settings:
User configuration > Admin Temp > Start Menu and taskbar >Remove and prevent access to shut it off, restart, sleep and hibernation
or
Computer config > Windows settings > political > local policies > user rights assignment >shut down the system
See if any of those appearing in RSOP, if they do they could limit your admin account according to which the GPO is applied. In the meantime try to run the Shutdown - r (for restart) and Shutdown-s (closure) orders and see if she will allow you to restart the system like that.
Let me know if it helps.

Hello
This is probably due to a corrupt user profile. Corruption could be simple damaged files or due to the partial failure of hard drive.
The first thing you can do is backup all data of the suspect profile to another device as memory stick, USB hard disk or enternal. It is where the hard drive is faulty and you need to protect your data against the possibility that it will fail completely.
Your data will be most likely contained in records under C:\Users\
, for example, if your login name is Sean, the issues will be C:\Users\Sean\Documents
C:\Users\Sean\Desktop
C:\Users\Sean\Favorites
etc.
Of course, there is nothing store you your data in non-standard places, with whom I can't help except to advise to search for him if you don't remember where are these places.
Once your data is safe, you should check the status of your hard drive, see...
- Click Start
- Click here to open the computer
- Right click on your C drive, and then click Properties
- Click on the Tools tab
- Click check now...
- Check both boxes, and then click Start
- When you receive a message "Windows cannot check the drive while it is in use", click schedule disk check
- Click OK
- Restart your PC
.. .the hard drive manufacturer will likely utilities perform drive diagnostics too.
Finally, if the disk hard drive remove OK, creates a new user and copies the data from your backup in the new profile, see...

- It could have been a recent update that ruined your account profile.
- You may accidentally set something in a browser - or a profile that has corrupted the configurations of your account.
- It could just be a corrupted file in your account that cannot be deleted.
The following can help, if there is not something IN the account which is the origin of corruption.

One of the things that you might consider for that and for any computer you have in your home network:
- Keep an additional account on the computer with administrator privileges.
- Do not use the account.
- Do not "add things" about the account, including additional browsers, the shortcuts that are not part of the standard operating system, and do not use the account for program facilities.
- Do NOT set the account with a fingerprint Reader.
- Do NOT set the account with any other additional security that the VERY GOOD password that you give the account when you create it.
- Don't create fancy settings in the account, do not change the "customization", or other settings that alter the fundamental nature of the account.
- Journal to the account on the occasion of being sure that have access to the account.
Why have the extra account?
It is insurance.

Why do I get a message temporary profile w / no access to my files, & how to fix it?
Whenever I try to open a session (for all users) I get a message that I am connected to a temporary profile and can't access or save all files. The suggestion to disconnect & try to connect later worked again (for about 100 connections later, anyway). I don't understand something in the event log (as was also suggested) & I have tried a system restore, but the first available for restore date was after the problems started. I fear that all my pictures and my music files are gone forever. BTW, I learned my lesson - everything will be saved on a USB in the future - but I need help now. Any suggestions?

This happens if you have a corrupt user profile. Windows detects this and log in with a temporary profile. Whatever you do, do not save all the data of your temporary profile as it will be deleted when you close. You will probably find all your files from your profile missing in the folder C:\Documents and Settings\Utilisateur\Mes Documents.
Recovery of a corrupted user profile is not too difficult. Follow the instructions in one of the following articles:

Today while I was in class, my computer has started very well and I was able to work on it as usual. When the class was done, I saved my job and turn the computer off. Not even 10-15 minutes later, I turn on my computer turn it on again to finish my job and it takes ages to start. When that finally happens, it connects me under a temporary profile. None of my school work, photos, music or whatever it is is nowhere to be found. I tried to do the repair option that is offered with the starting system normally and nothing. I also tried the system restore twice at an earlier date and its doesn't work simply do not. Recommendations on how to do, and if my files can be saved? The photos I mean a lot to me and I have midterms and all my work is saved on my profile = - /... Ouch!
To avoid problems of access to the file:
1. in safe mode, copy the files into the documents, pictures and music in C:\Users\Public folders.
2. Enter the new profile in normal mode and move public folders files in folders of your new profile. -
