  I hope it's an easy question. I was hoping to start the server DAC on a Windows Server 2003 64-bit OS as a service. When I run startserver.bat and log off, the DAC server died and I don't want to leave a user all the time so I would run DAC Server as a Windows Service.

  He shows me how to do that using javaservice command, which I am not entirely opposed to, however, is that the right way to do it? It is supported by Oracle?
  
  I couldn't find anything in the documentation indicating the correct way forward. Ironcially, it shows how to nohup on Unix/Linux, but it does not show the equivalent for windows. Are they just lazy?

  In most implementations of OBIEE/OLIVIER, I saw customers using javaservice to the OC4J & CAD server as a Windows service. I never heard any objections to Oracle, but used to allow the customer to know that it wasn't a part of the Oracle Documentation.

• Thumbnail option does not work in Terminal Server in Windows Server 2012 and server session

  This might be a stupid question.

  We have two Windows server 2012 R2 - TS and DC. The clients are connecting to TS and access the shared network drives present in DC. I always unchecked 'show icons, never thumbnails' and 'Show thumbnails in System Properties' enabled on DC and the two TS.

  No always thumbnail option.

  You will need to click on each image. Users have many files containing multiple images. It's annoying to click and view each image.

  Note: NO GPO is configured to block it. Checked.

  I can't find any object GPO to allow this option to be :)

  More info. For customers, anywhere, whether network shares or all folders in TS session. It does not work. Also tried painting and Windows Photo Viewer.

• Printing from a computer client NICU Terminal Server in windows Server 2003

  Client computers had already installed 2 printers that users need to be able to print, but when they access the Server 2003 and you want to change the default printer, they can not, only the administrator is able to change the default printer. I already have a group called users with power with the permissions: print, manage printers, and manage documents, but they are not inherited. • Print driver error with HP LaserJet M1212nf Professional on Terminal Server in Windows 2008 (32-bit)

  We got a lot of printers LaserJet m1212nf installed the SAME version of the driver on the server and desktop computers and nothing is printed using Easy Print. No errors, no message, but nothing is printed, only when a test page is printed the server will display a warning: "no test page cannot be printed.

  After that, we try to use the HP instead of the TS Easy Print driver, forcing group policy first use the Hp driver. But the terminal server server always use the easy print driver so we are in the same way.

  If we try something else... THE PILOT XPS... but it works on the desktop PC, we try to print a test page in office printer properties, but "no test page cannot be printed" is shown... my God!

  According to the title above, please help as I am not able to connect to the internet. I am posting this work...

  After I turn on my computer, I received this message:

  "Unable to connect to a windows service. Windows could not connect to the System Event Notification service. This problem prevents limited forest exploitation form used on the system. As long as administrator, you can go through the system event log to see why the service failed"

  From what I've read of other people with the same problem, I realized that they are able to have the connection to the internet.

  1. you remember of any change to your computer before the problem?

  I suggest that you follow these steps and check if the problem persists.

  Step 1:

  Check if the Service Notification of system events is running or not. To check the services

  a. click on start

  b. in the start search box, type Services

  c. click right on - RUN as ADMINISTRATOR

  Check if benefits described has City status and startup type.

  System Event Notification Service started automatically

  Step 2:

  Might as well not connect to Internet is concerned, you can follow these steps and check.

  I suggest that you connect the Ethernet cable and start your computer in safe mode with network and check if you are able to connect to the Internet.

  I have a network of small business running off an old server running Windows server 2003.  The workstations are 7 machines of Windows 7 and XP 3.  I would set up a group to easily share files not related to the common programme currently running on the server as well as share printers more easily, but have een advised by an "expert" do not do, as it network program (medical office) my will suffer. Including the old labels dymo and lexmark printer sharing is a pain though it might be easier thanks to the homegroup.  I should have updated the drivers on all computers by using the printers or only those connected via usb? If I need to change the workgroup name? I know that XP machines cannot participate in the home group, but we can work around this problem.

  The bottom line is that homegroup can be used with Windows 7 computers. You must set up a joint working group to share files/printers between the XP Win 7 machines. Insofar as the server running W2K3 domain?

  The features of Windows XP in my network places, be able to create a shortcut to a specific folder on a network resource, has been moved to the folder on the computer.

  Click computer in the Start Menu or click the computer in Windows Explorer.

  Right-click anywhere in the blank area in the right pane, and then choose "add a network location". On the 2nd screen, double-click Choose a location custom to open familiar dialog box to XP. Go to your network folder and add it.

  When finished, the new link will appear in the folder on the computer under network locations. It will no longer appear in the network folder, where it was in XP.
