test transistor using labVIEW project

Hi all. I'm new in labview... pls guide me... Thank you...

I am a student and I have to do a project on labview, my project is: "DEVELOPMENT OF AUTOMATED TEST SYSTEM for TRANSISTOR USING LabVIEW.

I already installed labVIEW 8.5... can someone give me a tips to get started on my project?

I need to find a coding for CC, Osciloscope and Transistor power...

Thank you...

Start by writing a project plan.

What do you want the program to do?  What are the tests that you must run on this transistor?

What are their contributions, what are its results?

What are the series of steps you have to do to go from A to B?

What material did you use?  You mentioned a DC power supply and an oscilloscope, which brands and models?  You use data acquisition cards?

  • AutoStart VeriStand using LabView project

    Hi all
I want to manage through selection LabView and deployment of projects on my PXI system.

In order to know which project is running that only, I founded the solution to create an ad-hoc ALIAS that appears at the top of the list. Is there anyone who knows a smarter way?
    Attached is my example .VI
Thank you very much for your answers

You can watch the NI VeriStand - Get function System State.vi located in the NIVS palette. Notably, she returns the path to the definition file deployed where he is already running a (and you can use Connect to System.vi to run a definition instead of a project file). It is perhaps more convenient than your alias workaround solution!

  • Creating a LabVIEW project

    Hi all

I was in charge of the creation of a basic gas distribution system using labview. I know that I need to create an IO serial server, shared variables and a few VI (operator VI, maint VI etc.). Don't know what controls are required if and how start.

    Would appreciate any help.

    Thank you.

    Dave,

How to start any project (at least one project that will take more than 15 minutes) is through a deliberate and thorough design process.

Start by setting the specifications that must meet the program/system.  Define inputs, outputs, functions or processes, specific such as the calendar, regulatory limits, security issues and requirements that what (and who) determines the success. Then the design of the program.  To-do lists, flow wagons, diagrams of State and other documents can be very useful.

This is design from top to bottom.

Sometimes backward is also important.  Here you can make small test programs or part which can become subVIs to determine how things actually work in the real world, or to demonstrate certain features.  GUI of the trial is often useful if end users have not been exposed to programs like this before.

    Finally, write the program.

  • float to bytes conversion using labview

in the project of the University to number of float serialy using labview. I don't know how to convert his individual bytes actualy I want to encode float in its float bytes. kindly help me in this regard

Send "bytes" is usually done in the form of strings. Just use catalogued with the disconnected type entry (or use "flatten chain").

To get started, simple would be to use the finder example in LabVIEW and search for serial communications.

  • Is there a way to determine the equivalent ANSI C code of a Labview project?

I'm a complete newbie to Labview.  I have this quite complex Labview project that was used to create a DLL that matlab may call to order my card PCI-6534 without having to know NIDAQmx calls.

I am trying to find how to make these calls directly from Matlab NIDAQmx, but I do not get the same results when I call this DLL mentioned above, so I thought I would try to give a sense Labview projects live I begins to make sense of the general economy of the screw, but I would like to be able to run the project , step through it and perhaps see NIDAQmx orders (or something equivalent, so I can determine how to call NIDAQmx commands in Matlab).

    Is this possible to do?

    Thank you

    Jason

Yes. The toolbar allows you to turn on highlighting so that you can run the VI and see the content of the son. You can put sensors on the wires. You can single-step through the code. This is explained in the help of LabVIEW under Fundamantals-> running and debugging screw-> Concepts-> Debugging Techniques.

In what the question implied in the title of your message, don't you can directly convert LabVIEW C code in the development environment. Yes, there are tools to convert LabVIEW in C, but which is intended for microprocessors.

  • How to program using Labview to an accelerometer

    Hello:

I got an accelerometer which has digital I2C/SPI serial interface, so I bought a USB - I2C converter for data acquisition. I would like to know if I can use Labview to acquire data of com port and also program for the accelerometer to capture the data of the axis z. I have a box of white myDAQ NOR but SB. says that it is not an appropriate device to acquire before I2C/SPI signals. The datasheet of the accelerometer is in the accessory and the specification of the converter is this link: http://www.robot-electronics.co.uk/htm/usb_iss_tech.htm .

I hope someone can solve the problem for me. It is best to use the software labview for me because most of my project work is based on that.

    Best regards

    The f

Good and bad news.  You have an accelerometer that 'speaks' I2C or USB to I2C converter, so if you connect both of them, you can send 'orders' of your accelerometer easily of LabVIEW by using communication series live that's the good news.  The bad news is that it seems that you need to address your accelerometer using calls very low level, a work, I certainly don't want to face!  This crys on a 'pilot', a middle piece of equipment that does all the "hard work" to take a high level order ("Please tell me the acceleration") and he translates things your device includes (including the Setup program, records, calendar, packing and unpacking of the bits and bytes, etc.).

  • Thesis using Labview software

    Good Aftrnoon.

My thesis is based on software developed by using Labview.  Can anyone suggest the best way to write the main sections?

For example, how to describe the experimental flow? My ideas have been use explanatory, take the labview code print screens describing what each of the subVIs. Does anyone have experience in this field?  Or if you can share a thesis based on LabView program written, it would be ideal for reference. Thanks in advance

    Kiryl

If your project markers are not familiar with LabVIEW, then frankly they should not be monitored a LabVIEW project.

In the same way that you would not be supposed to literally print code of entire base of a project in a written language, you don't need to go into the same level of detail with a LabVIEW project.

You can document your code with system diagrams, annotate them extracts of interesting pieces of code, writing pseudocode to illustrate the feature.

  • Deal with failure when using LabVIEW 2011 and DSC MODBUS communication

I'm currently reading from operating records a PLC with MODBUS/TCP. I confirmed that the PLC will update the values and in response to a MODBUS communication correctly by using a third-party program called Modbus Poll. However, when I try to query the PLC using the LabVIEW shared variable engine, I am unable to read the values of the same addresses that I consult with Modbus Poll.

My installation is simply to a PC directly connected to the controller via Ethernet without a router between the two. I'm using LabVIEW 2011 SP1 with the DSC module.

I opened the Manager of distributed systems OR to display the State of all variables in the Modbus Library that I created, and I noticed that the ILO CommFail permanently the value 'true '. All other variables with a 'read' access mode signal "failure of process". I tried to restart the process and stop and start the local variable engine without success. I also restarted my computer several times to see if any services did not exist, but this does not appear to have solved the problem.

Finally, I resorted to listening to communications on the network card I have the PLC connected via Ethernet using Wireshark and found that while Modbus Poll communicates with PLC, number of MODBUS and TCP packet is sent and received. However, when using only LabVIEW or the DSM OR communicate with the controller, there don't seem to be any communication on the network card.

Something that may be interesting to note is that I could communicate with the PLC and to read values with the DSM just once, when I understood everything first what address I should be reading of. All of this has stopped working shortly after. Prior to this, 'CommFail' was not generally set to 'true' with my current setup. Thinking it was my firewall, I have since disabled my firewall, but this seems to have had no effect on the problem either.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

So, I thought about it. It turns out that the IP address of the server i/o MODBUS must be set to the address of the MODBUS slave, not the local computer. The address of the i/o MODBUS server is defined by the navigation in the Explorer window projects, expanding the variable engine shared library for MODBUS and right click on the server MODBUS (for example Modbus1) item and select Properties.

In addition, the addresses seem to be shifted by + 1.

    Thanks for the tip so.

  • There is a possibility to run Labview projects or to set them off from a batch file or if the exist and the ability to control labview or run it from an external application?

Hi, I m a bit new in LabVIEW and I'd like to ask a few questions...

-There is a possibility to run Labview projects or to set them off from a batch file or if the exist and the ability to control labview or run it from an external application?

-One API PI or raspberry beaglebone exists for LabVIEW?

-Power supply Wich can recommend you control with LabVIEW? (some chip solution witn 0 - 30v / 0 - 3A DC)

Thank you very much for your advice!

    Best regards

    Elena

    Elena,

I know raspberry, so no comment on that.

    For the rest:

-Do you want to create tools for developers? If so, we must look in the API of project VI and VI server. If this isn't the case, please compile your application LV as executable and call this one using a batch file.

-LV prefer specific supplies. LV is a programming language. There are several power supply providers (including OR) which provide directly the LV API for their power supplies. So, essentially, the approach is:

    1. choose food that serves your needs.

    2. check if the power supply has a standard interface for programming (such as Ethernet, GPIB, or if the power supply is PXI, is already providing a programming interface!)

    3. check if the LV API (so-called "instrument driver") is available for the device. In the case of a PXI system, get you a device driver (for example NI DCPower).

    4. check if the LV samples are available (for example in the Finder for example LV once you have installed the driver).

  • How to implement the wafer map using LabVIEW?

    Hello LabVIEW Masters!

I have a project which includes control and searching for information on a PROBER. One of the difficulties I have now is how to implement a WAFER card using LabVIEW. According to the requirements of my client, the element of pads varies between 6 k and 23 k. I guess that do everything (a = a ctl/indicator led) will be a hell of a task, especially on how to effectively manipulate each elements. Does anyone have a better idea on the way whose that?

Please, I seriously need your help...

    Thank you and best regards,

    Dennis DG

    Hi Dennis,

    This wafer GerdW post card appears to me as a sort of histogram (for example http://www.ni.com/white-paper/4158/en#toc3);

Altenbach post well this example that shows how to use a plot of intensity to create a 2d histogram:

    http://forums.NI.com/T5/LabVIEW/overlay-plots-as-intensity-graph/m-p/211222#M119248

Learn how it works and try to adapt it to your specific task.

  • Complete equipment of simulation using LabView, Multisim, and MAX (easy answer accepted!)

    Hello, all!

Sorry, I'm new, but I checked around for a definitive answer on this, but I'm not 100% sure.  I learn LabView for a physics of upper-division course.  We use hardware (DAQ - MX) and a mixture of laboratory equipment - mainly stuff such as voltmeters, oscilloscopes and test setup with simple components.  I also work with NIM instrumentation, but that's secondary to my needs here.  So, when I'm away from the school, is it possible to make a complete simulation of my classroom work using LabView, Multisim (for my model) and the measurement and Automation Explorer (for the acquisition of data-MX)?  I know I can create a circuit and drop it in Labview, but I'm not sure on the acquisition of data.  I hope for what is a "seamless" reconstruction of what I do in class.  I can't take a simple 'yes' or ""; as long as I know it's possible, I can find the solution.

    Thanks for the help!

I wrote 'sim' screws in many situations where I need to work away from the hardware store.  I think that MAX has a few features, but you may be limited in the types of signals, you can simulate.

For my sim screw, I make a copy of the original VI with ".sim" added file name.  I also change the icon in a characteristic way to identify the version of the sim card on the BD. In this way the two VI have the same connector pane and are interchangeable on the BD structure. disable the diagram can be your friend here. Inside of the VI of sim, I generate the signal in any form I want.  You can also add additional if necessary controls.

  • zedboard Xilinx Zync 7000 interface using labview

    Hello

I'm doing my thesis in Zedboard for the development of a test for DDR3 memory and verification. For this I need to set up a base of dedicated on NI Measurement Studio LabVIEW graphical user Interface.

Theme: Algorithmic Szudy of test set-up for DDR3 SDRAM with a Xilinx architecting.

Here, I made my algorithm Xilinx SDK. But I need to create a graphical interface using labview. To run these programs. Please let me know how I can do this.

1 or is it possible to directly access the SoC architecting using Labview. If yes how?

    2. or if I have to do the coding of Xilinx SDK and how do I run this code using Labview?

Please give me a detailed answer. As I am new to labview. I m not understanding how to start with. If you have any design example please share with me.

    Thank you best regards &,.

    Nithin Ponnarasseri

No you can not grow directly in LabVIEW and deploy this program to the Board of Directors Zync. NOR has their own material base platform Zync (cRIO and myRIO) but the tools to target these tips are specific to the hardware implementation OR and will not work with other hardware. Develop an interface for another hardware platform is a lot of work and must be adapted for each unique flavor to a new hardware platform. And NEITHER does not support this for other devices.

If your option will be to develop an application with the SDK Zync for Zync ARM controller and provide a form of communication interface (serial port, TCP/IP, or similar) to this application you can send commands to LabVIEW for your embedded application.

  • Is it possible to compare two PDFs using labview?

I was wondering if it was possible to use LabVIEW to compare two PDF files (that contain images as well as text) to another. I know that Bluebeam PDF viewer can do, so I was hoping there was a way to do it with LabVIEW.

Read each file as a simple string, and then compare the two strings for equality.

(You can also do a few tests before, for example just to see if the sizes are equal)

LVRT. DLL loads the address: 0x003EE000

    Can someone help me?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello everyone.

The problem is solved! The reason of my problem is that LabView RT 8.5.0 supports no more than 2 GB of RAM installed on the computer, as described in this document.
My RAM GB setting the things that were not possible before:
-to connect to the target in a LabView project and deploy the code.
-to activate the multiple core processor in the BIOS of the machine

I said that the withdrawal of the USB keyboard is useful. Indeed with my keyboard plugged in, when I install other software as server VISA for example, MAX do not recognize the target automatically, I have to add it manually by specifying the IP address and I can not connect to the target in a project of LV.
Unplug the USB keyboard (and other devices) to solve this problem.

    Good day...
