Tests of memory of blade

I noticed that the new update to 1.2 firmware has added a test of memory at startup evey blade upward. Is there a way to bypass this test? It takes forever to start a blade with 96 GB + of RAM.

In previous versions, the test of memory exist, however, it was not visible on the screen of the kvm. I spoke with our representative, and it seems that at the moment, there is no way to pass the test of mem.

Lets hope they change this in future versions...

  • Pavilion DV6 freezes but passes the Tests of memory and HARD drive

I have a dv6-3025dx that the POST is fine. It does not start after the screen 7 start, the recovery Partition loading bar or a Windows 7 recovery disk loading bar. The HP Vision diagnostic and a drive OEM 7 freeze as well. Start with a Ubuntu DVD displays icon on the keyboard at the bottom then nothing else than a cursor flashing at the top left of the screen. The HARD drive and memory in the BIOS Tests pass but the start-up Test, the Burn-in Test and the Test of memory in the partition the disk diagnostic all freeze immediately.

I reset BIOS, change the RAM with known working sticks and clone the HDD on a well known player and still get the same result. I had to clone the drive from a different machine, because Acronis True Image 2011 boot disk crashes after the splash screen. A 3rd party BACK base RAM and HDD tests pass with flying colors; including Windows, MemTest86 Memory Diagnostic + and video memory Stress test. Basically, I can't start any GUI environment. only of DOS or Linux command line. I'm guessing that maybe the video chip? Ideas or confirm my diagnosis?

    Thank you!

You make text based OSes seem to work well. This could mean that the video card is at fault with loads greater than the bare.

However, it could also be a SATA controller flaw that does not correctly handle the load. There is really no way to test this reliable I found.

No matter whether the video controller or the controller SATA, the result is the same and that is replace the motherboard. If it was office, a SATA PCI-based controller can be purchased cheap enough to exclude it. However, this is not an option here.

It really isn't too much other material in a notebook that is involved in the boot process and most of the material is soldered to the motherboard.

    I'm sorry.

I am new to the solution of the UCS and tried recently updated the BIOS via the host update utility and MMIC. There were a few warnings version that prevented the upgrade, but I was able to update the firmware of the NETWORK adapter.

CIMC is at version 1.0.2 and BIOS at C200.1.4.1.0.071320110702.

I'm not sure how to read the version of the BIOS however.

Host upgrade utility is not supported until version 1.2.

This may have been the cause of some of your upgrade issues.

  • Memory for blade PowerEdge M520

    Hello

We have a PowerEdge M520 with an E5-2470v2 and module memory four 32 GB (P/N: M386B4G70DM0-YK03). Now, we buy an extra processor kit so we would buy four modules of 32 GB for the additional processor.

Our dealer has 32 GB Dell modules P/N: M386B4G70DM0-YK04. It stands for the last digit, the specs are the same.

Could someone help us understand if this memory is compatible with our system, or if we buy exactly the P/N: M386B4G70DM0-YK03?

    Thanks in advance,
    Davide

    Hello

Yes, these DIMMs is interchangeable. We sell them under the same part number. They can be mixed without problem.

The two issues of Dell for the DIMMS are F1G9D and 7N0WM.

  • Memory test failed w / Kingston 4 GB

I have a HP G42 - 461LA Notebook PC, and I added a 4 GB Kingston Ram memory (KVR1333D3S9 / 4g). I started to notice my laptop has been slow and has decided to conduct a Test of memory of the HP Diagnostic tools (F2).

It fails with this failure ID: U3439W-5HW70M-XD002K-40HU03

When I removed the memory stick and tried again he passed successfully.

The strange thing is that when it is installed it is recognized and it seems like it should work, but it is slow at the opening in a few tabs in the browser (most audio glitches), and the test fails.

    Hello

ID failure indicates that there is a problem with a memory, and must be replaced. This should be the cause of the issue of the slow-running also.

I suppose that there are two locations of memory for your computer.

You can try a memory at once and run the test or check the performance of the computer with a memory. Then, you will be able to isolate the faulty memory.

Sometimes it might be also the memory slot... so try a memory at a time in each slot in interchanging the. That will help you know if there is a problem with one of the slot.

  • Memory test failed

    Hello

I use a laptop HP 1000. The default ram was 2GB but I added another 4 GB module in it. My laptop works quite normal, but it gives me the blue screen of death by practicing a particular game (League of Legends). I have no other than error, and it works fine. I decided to test my memory to the HP support (by pressing F2). I got the error of test with some ID of product failure.

So I ran Memtest86, there was no error proves Memtest86 in 1 pass. So I want to know that why HP test failed and Memtest86 gave me no errors.

    OPERATING SYSTEM: WINDOWS 7 64-BIT

    Thank you

    Concerning

I would say that confirms that the RAM module is defective.  This test is performed on the single 4 GB stick or the also installed 2GB stick?  If it was with the one 4 GB stick, then I would say that it is more than enough evidence to justify the Exchange store.  There is not much I can do from this end with a third of RAM.  You will need to contact the point of original purchase for an Exchange and explain tests memory failed (Memtest86 and HP).

    Let me know what happens.

  • T440 memory validation test

Lenovo will come out tomorrow to repair a T440 unit with bad memory (many BSODS, omitting most of the tests.) expanded memory, etc.

The representative on the phone seemed a little unsure of the configuration of the memory on these laptops. My understanding is that the 4 GB of RAM, our units have is soldered directly on the system board as a DIMM on the unit is not used.

It is safe to assume that the procedure is to replace the motherboard? The representative initially wanted to send us a 4 GB SODIMM, but I don't think that would do any good.

No complaints about the rep, he was very friendly, I want to just make sure we are setup so that everything is resolved tomorrow.

    Thank you!

A SODIMM is welded and this one is not.

To determine which one is faulty, remove the removable SODIMM, and then rerun the tests of memory. If she passes the test, then the removable SODIMM is defective, in which case the defective SODIMM should be replaced.

If you do not pass the test, then the motherboard should be replaced.

  • Pvailion g6 2126-sx: Memory test failure ID 94g95h-0007nq-mfpx1g-003j03... What it means?

    Hello

I ran a test of memory because I kept getting blue screens with different messages such as (failure-bad pool management header memory and other types). Once the test starts he returned with failure with this id 94g95h-0007nq-mfpx1g-003j03

Why is this? and what is the solution?

    Thank you

The HP test is not that, but if you can find a program called memtest86 and run it, you can get an indication module which is bad. You will have to take off anyway to replace and remove a module of memory is a trivial thing on most laptops... 30 seconds to do.

  • Memory test tool

Using my Vista 64-bit dvd recovery tools section I ran the test of memory. When the computer reboots, it went through the test, but at the end it starts just the test everywhere after the third time I restarted the pc, he went to the same point and started again the memory test, I checked the settings and the memory test is configured to only run two times but he wears only whenever he finnishes it again. Can someone tell me how to stop it?

    Hello

Have you successfully completed the diagnostic test memory over WinRE (Windows Recovery Environment)?
What was the result of the analysis?

Start the scan memory as an administrator.
    1. click on start, type memory diagnostics tool in the search for text box, right-click on it and click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.
    2. click on restart now and check for problems or check the problems the next time I start my computer.

Understand the results of the Diagnostic tool memory:
If memory diagnostics tool ends the first pass and no error, your RAM is working no doubt. You can still run the diagnostic tool memory several times using the same settings to ensure that the Diagnostic tool memory cannot find any errors with your RAM. If you want to test your RAM more completely, you can run the test suite expanded by pressing T during the Memory Diagnostic tool is running. You should run for several hours and then Memory Diagnostic tool. Also, if you change the sequence of tests or one of the parameters of the Memory Diagnostic tool, the current test pass restarts.

If the Memory Diagnostics tool detects errors that occur in your RAM, the screen is updated with information about the error. A "Fail" result for a test indicates this particular test has detected an error. If a test fails, your computer has for lack of material.

If the memory diagnostics tool detects errors in your hardware, you must correct the errors and rerun the Diagnostic tool memory until no errors are reported. Then, you try to run Windows again. If you do not, it may be that Windows does not work properly.

You can try to identify individuals without component of memory. However, if errors are found and that your computer is under warranty, we recommend that you contact the manufacturer for troubleshooting.

  • Memory ECC on 3.1 Mac Pro compatibility

Hi guys, I have a feeling that I already know the answer, but I have a question of compatibility memory re: my Mac Pro 2008 of 3.1.

    Specifications are:

    CPU - 2 x 2.8 Quad

    MEM - 8 GB (4 x 2 GB) DDR2 800 MHz

Graphics - ATI Radeon HD 5000 1024 MB

Boot disk - 240 GB SSD.

    Today, I bought a Mac Pro (2 x Dual 2.66) 2007 with 16 GB of ram, but it's ram DDR2 at 667 MHz.
I bought it mainly for the memory, but it is slower than my memory...

So, I have the following questions:

    1. I guess I can't use both the 667 and 800 in a computer memory sticks?

    2 - my MP (3.1 2008) would perform better with 8GB 800 MHz or 16GB 667 MHz?

Is there a noticeable difference in performance based on the speed of the memory?

    3. is there a recommended application to test the memory and cpu as well? I'd like also to know if my CPU is "in good health".

It would make the evaluation tests of memory?

    Thanks in advance

Hello, here is a link to a discussion on Macrumors mix different speed RAM on the 3.1, it's from 2013

but it must be relevant to this day. May be useful to some of your questions.

    http://forums.MacRumors.com/threads/800MHZ-and-667Mhz-RAM-not-compatible-Mac-Pro - 3 - 1.1653183.

You have gray original install disks for the 3.1, if you have the second drive should be the HardwareTest of the Apple.

Once in the optical Bay restart by pressing the command + D keys, I think it tells you about the disc, it should start after

a little time and then you will be able to run the tests.

  • Tecra 9100: Media Test failure - check cable then turns off

    Hello

I have a Tecra 9100 and I got it at low cost and hoping to make it work for my son to do his homework on but its got a problem.

First he came without a hard drive (on order) then when I turn it on I get + media test check the cable failure then it stops.
I ve disabled boot from LAN and set the default Bios and tried to boot from the CD drive that starts to install ok (I know he won t get far because I ve without HARD drive)

But he died just completely sometimes in the beginning, sometimes at half way.

One can shed some light on the subject.

    Thanks rob

Maybe its overheating? Search for dust in the radiator. You can blow the dust using a can of compressed air.

Also test the memory. You can get memtest www.memtest.org and put it on a floppy disk or a CD.

  • Does not start after change of memory.

    Laptop HP dv6 - 2173cl

    Win7-64 bit

I thought I had an easy task at hand... change my 2x2gb = 4 GB memory for 2 x 4 GB = 8 GB of memory.

Removed old - replaced by the new.  Old and new are pc3-10600 (1333).

When I got to the top of the laptop I had a screen with two options: enter the Startup Repair... or... start Windows normally.  I chose "repair startup'... only to be recycled to the screen option even.  Choose "Start Windows" gives me an error message and then sends me down to the option screen.

I went into the bios... it shows memory 8132.  I did a test of memory in the bios and it says everything is ok.  Now, I run a test of marketing... and it's an hour in a check for two hours.

I'm guessing that my new memory fights Win7... but I don't know why.

Will be this "hard reset" I read about the work?  I can give up the test at startup?  Is there a downside for the hard reset?

    Help please.

I found my answer over the weekend.

Apparently there are modules of different memory... beyond the difference in office / laptop and 1600 Mhz / 1333 Mhz 2 Gb / 4 Gb... I had all these correct.  I found there are "not so high density ' and 'high density' chipsets chipsets.

In the discussion of the chatbox says the seller of memory, "some systems will not use the high density of the smart parts J."

I have the new shipping modules.  If the adventure continues I'll post more.
