Memory test tool

Using my Vista 64-bit dvd recovery tools section I ran the test of memory. When the computer reboots, it went through the test, but at the end it starts just the test everywhere after the third time I restarted the pc, he went to the same point and started again the memory test, I checked the settings and the memory test is configured to only run two times but he wears only whenever he finnishes it again. Can someone tell me how to stop it?

Have you successfully completed the diagnostic test memory over WinRE (Windows Recovery Environment)?

Start the scan memory as an administrator.
1. click on start, type memory diagnostics tool in the search for text box, right-click on it and click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.
2. click on restart now and check for problems or check the problems the next time I start my computer.
 
Understand the results of the Diagnostic tool memory:
If memory diagnostics tool ends the first pass and no error, your RAM is working no doubt. You can still run the diagnostic tool memory several times using the same settings to ensure that the Diagnostic tool memory cannot find any errors with your RAM. If you want to test your RAM more completely, you can run the test suite expanded by pressing T during the Memory Diagnostic tool is running. You should run for several hours and then Memory Diagnostic tool. Also, if you change the sequence of tests or one of the parameters of the Memory Diagnostic tool, the current test pass restarts.
 
If the Memory Diagnostics tool detects errors that occur in your RAM, the screen is updated with information about the error. A "Fail" result for a test indicates this particular test has detected an error. If a test fails, your computer has for lack of material.
 
If the memory diagnostics tool detects errors in your hardware, you must correct the errors and rerun the Diagnostic tool memory until no errors are reported. Then, you try to run Windows again. If you do not, it may be that Windows does not work properly.
 
You can try to identify individuals without component of memory. However, if errors are found and that your computer is under warranty, we recommend that you contact the manufacturer for troubleshooting.

    Run Memtest86 +: your computer passes this test?

    Memtest86 + is running from a floppy or CD and should eliminate or confirm if your one or more of your sticks of memory are bad or the values of the SPD in the BIOS are correct.

    Let it run for as long as you can: 2,4,6,8 or several hours (at least 3 full passes), if no errors at that time then your ram is OK.

    Try the following.

    First, download the Memtest Image file (.) (ISO) on the following link.

    It is a zipped file, if you do not have an extraction utility installed, download and install 7-Zip.  Please note that If you have a 64-bit installation, download and install the Installer x 64 64-bit .msi on the link below.

    Then, right-click on the zipped file, select Extract 7 - Zip, select the files and then click Ok.  Open the newly extracted folder to find the Memtest Image.

    Now, you will need to use an application like ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly on a blank CD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write that an ISO on a disc is here.

    When you created the CD, shut down the laptop.  Tap the escape key when you rewind to enter the Boot Menu.  Insert the Memtest CD.  Select 'Options of Boot' (usually f9), use the arrow keys to select the CD/DVD drive and press ENTER to boot from the disc.

    At least 3-4 passes and see if errors are found.

    Replace the memory module.

    Contact HP with the failure code. They will do it for free if you are under warranty.

    If not, get a 4 GB key with exactly the same configuration, speed, etc. as shown in the manual. Crucial, Kingston are good brands that have their own online scanner, which contains the list guaranteed compatible sticks.

    Try the following.

    First of all, regarding the manual of maintenance on the link below--remove and reposition your bars of memory.

    If the above makes no difference, and you have more than one Module of memory installed, try the following - if you have only 1 Module installed, try in the other available slot.

    Again, regards to the manual on the link below, delete one of your modules from memory and then see if the computer will start.  If it doesn't, try the same module, but in another location.  If it is still won't start, try the other memory module in both slots, to see if any combination will allow the laptop to boot up normally.

    The procedure for withdrawal of these modules is detailed on Page 50 of your maintenance & Service Guide.

    If someone knows how to fix the memory issue?

    I get an error message when I run a memory test by using the program of development of the hp system. I can't be too sure how long I've had this problem because it is the first time that I tested the factory equipt 8 GB memory.

    That said, I have recently updated my Bios F.29 in an effort to tuneup the hp and hopefully reduce the boot by a little time. The installation went well but I now wonder if there could be some sort of conflict between memory and Bios firmware? Any thoughts?

    Hi Peter,.

    Try the following.

    Stop the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and remove the battery.

    Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds.

    Then remove and reposition your memory - the procedure is detailed on Page 72 of your & Maintenance Guide.

    Once completed, replace covers, etc..., reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

    Run the memory diagnostic again.

    Start diagnostics is buit to check if there is hardware with computer problems.  He has failed the test of memory which means that one of the memory on the computer module has failed and must be replaced.

    If the computer is under warranty, I suggest you come in contact with HP Service Center and solve this problem.

    Remove a RAM and run a test at the same time, if the test fails on both the RAM. You will need to replace both. If this is not the case, replace the one that fails the tests of RAM.
