• Text field display [formatted] data date - different entry form.

  It is probubly simple but thanks for any help.  My client wants to text fields as they find tedious date drop-downs for its shape.  As a result, I formatted the field to display the date as he asked mmm / d.  Regardless of how the user inserts the date, it is displayed as well as the customer wants.

  The problem I am facing is that when I call data for the calculations it send information in the format it was entered rather then displayed.

  For example, a user can enter

  1-1 and it would show [Jan / 1] in the field, but returns a string value (1-1) with this.getField.  User can enter 01 jan, jan 1, jan - 1, 1-01, 01-01, ect. and it would all read correctly in the text formatted field.

  I wrote a simple script to convert the month in days but it won't work unless the information is returned in the same way, it is displayed.  Y at - it an easier way to convert a date text field into a variable [day of the year] regardless of how the data has been entered. (without drop downs).

  To get a date that you can use, use the util.scand method: http://livedocs.adobe.com/acrobat_sdk/11/Acrobat11_HTMLHelp/JS_API_AcroJS.89.1260.html

  With no information of the year, it will give the current year. You'll be able to get the day and the month as and use however desired. Note that Acrobat/Reader will not let you enter an invalid date (for example, February 30) when the field is formatted as a date, if it's not a matter of concern.

  My question is, when the user changes the display name (Jill Jack changes) and click Update, refreshes the page and the name text box is empty. How can I get the name put to date to display on the text field when the page is updated.
  
  I also tried to change the Source used to "Only when current state is zero", but it will show the old name (name: Jack) and not the updated name (name: Jill).

  I've corrected it. I added a new PL/SQL statement, called Test to transfer values from page 3 to 1. I also added some in your javascript, which makes a doSubmit ('Test')... don't know if this part was really necessary however, but it works anyway.

• How can can add text fields in the form automatically pdf document?

  I use Adobe Acrobat X (10.1.3) installed on Windows 7 to create pdf forms. My document is very similar to a "lined paper A4 notebook.

  I want to add the text field for each row of lined notebook, so people will be able to write what they want line by line.

  As my document has 20 lines in each page, and a total of 64 pages, I won't add these fields one by one. (drawing of rectangles with precision and aligning each other, assigning separate 'field name' to ensure solid mounting.)

  Property 'Set the Multiple field' within the right - click cause misalignment during 5-6 lines statement on the other.

  See Doc.addField. If there is a model for the positions lines on each page, then you can generate the positions in JavaScript and use Doc.addField to set the text fields.

  I'm trying to implement a requirement such that if the data entered in A text field then the field of text B is necessary. The research on the forum I did, I think I need to use the change event. But the only entries members I've seen involve drop downs or boxes option and I don't know how to translate in to whether or not data is entered in a text field. Thanks in advance!

  Darkness samll error you did. It must be xfa.event.newText. No xfa.eventnewText. If you see attention you missed the "dot /." between the event and newText. Try it and see what happens next.

  I created a drop down list which includes various regions.  When a region is selected it auto-renseigne another drop-down list with places.  I would like to automatically fill a text field with predetermined phone numbers when you have selected a location in the drop-down list of "places".  I want to integrate the phone numbers in the code, since the form will not access a database.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you, Ed.

• Import notes that in SOD - how to set the last-modified Date?

  We are still doing our Siebel users. We launched on-air, and therefore some users who were still using legacy systems while some worked far in Siebel. What I'm trying to do now is to take over from representatives in the old system and go to Siebel. I have the file created with the subject, external account id, note (description) and the date that the note was created in the old system. When I try to import the date cannot be set and is broken at the time of that creation of the acutal in Siebel note.
  
  It is a problem that I have 3 years of account history that should be loaded and if I import all of this now, it will push the notes in the system to bottom of the list who will be upset representatives began uisng Siebel in the first wave.
  
  My goal is simply to be ordered from oldest to newest on top, but I can't seem to find a way to do that using the tool of importation as a last modification Date is not an option for me to import.
  
  Is it possible to do? If not, anyone know of a work around to achieve the same goal?

  It wouldn't appear in the Notes section of the retail account. Currently, it is not possible to import the date as part of an import of Notes.

  Not really. At best, you could write a few lines of code that use the function getDate() JavaScript and hidden fields on other days, but some detective can access yet - they are always there and really not returned. The only safe method to do this would use a dynamic system, which is beyond Muse.

  Hello.  Is there a function of WebUtil that I can use to get the date of the last modification of the file of a windows client-side?  I need to show the user if a file named c:\pollst.txt has been updated if I want to show the date of last modification of the file on their PC.

  I think it's a feature stripped of d2kwutil to webutil.

  With d2kwutil, it was easy to get the two created and modified with the win_api_file package. Now with webutil_file you can just get file_size

  I searched this time there, but I gave up and had to lose the functionality of the migration of 6i.

  If you can not lose functionality, I think you can use one of these things in java, but you'll have to mess with another language.

  Please indicate if you find an easy way.

  Find the time / date of last modification of VI isn't so easy, if it's in a. BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN LAW.

  This is the only way I could find to do (is there a better way?):

  

  In "palette OpenG leader" you can get the VI "C:\Program Files (x 86) \National Instruments\LabVIEW 2014\vi.lib\Utility\libraryn.llb\Get Info.vi VI library file. This will give you the date of last modification in seconds.

• Put the Date of last changed on PDF

  Is there a way to put the date of last change on a PDF using Javascript? I'm putting together a folder of maps in PDF format, and the only way I can think to do is to print each card with its file name and last modified date (so we can go back to the folder and delete the duplicates and the very old).

  Wonderful wire print with Document PDF file name has helped find me a way to put the file name and the current date in each pdf as a footer, but when I tried to modify the code to get the last update, I get an error.

  I have to admit that I am a newbie when it comes to Javascript, so any suggestions would be extremely useful.

  Everything worked perfectly until I added the line var AcDate = document.lastModified

  Is there a simple solution, or is it a much more complicated problem?

  It failed because there is no such thing as document.lastModified

  Try this instead: this.info.ModDate

• Form of PDF text field label

  Hello everyone.  I was wondering if there was a way to make a visible label in normal mode for a form of PDF text field.  I do my PDF form with a text box to fill in.  Well, I would like the name of the box appears when someone opens the PDF, not only if they go only in the view of the edit form.  I hope I'm making sense.  So far, the only thing I can think of is to do a button with the label above the text box to fill out or make the text to a drop-down list in the box area.  However, with a drop-down list box, I can not change how the text will display when it is typed in.  At the present time, although, when someone opens the PDF file, normally, the highlighted text to fill Boxing see the but not the labels with them even though I have names entered the name and ToolTip.

  Any suggestions?

  One thing you can do is set up a script to custom size for a text field that is:

  Custom format for text field script

  If (! event.value) event.value = event.target.name;

  This will display the name of the field in the field when the field is empty. The problem with this approach is that it is easily opposed using all built-in formatting that you can use (number, POSTAL code, etc.). You can always, but it takes more than script.

• AppleScript: enter the "last modified" or other file dates

  Is it possible to enter the "last modified" a file, and then open the file and paste this date into a specific location?

  The issue is that in figures (v2 and v3) and Pages (v4 and v5).

  My hypothesis involved in the sequence above is that the date is applied to the file when it is saved, then the script would need to save the file, get the date, open the file and coller, paste to a location specified, then close the file (which would then a last modified date somewhat later than pasted.

  It is trivial to get the date of the change of a file:

  Set myFile to (Choose file)

  say application "System events" to get modification date of myFile

  Now you have a date object. Insert the data in the file, however, requires more details.

  For one, you will need to ensure that you are actually check a .numbers file. If you get that you can easily open the file:

  say application 'Numbers' to Open myFile

  where to add the data, but is another question - how do you know where you want to place the data?
