  I have my 2015 MacBook Air set up to send and receive text messages, that I enjoy and use frequently. However, I use my laptop when I'm on campus, so he'll go sometimes unused for a day or two. For this reason, whenever I log in my MacBook Air, I am bombarded with notifications of message, even though I have long read and answered on my iPhone.

  It's quite annoying to open my laptop Monday morning to twelve alerts by text message, to see to the reading of them who all last week and are now irrelevant and useless.

  Is their a way around that? Or maybe a setting of notification in El Cap that I might have forgotten? It seems strange for OS X to inform me of the things that I already recognized it on my other iDevices.

  You have not missed a framework because it is not a.

  The issue is that iMessages are pushed from the server until a device accepts them.

  iMessages are sent to each device that is registered.

  The 'Sync' is only 'on all display devices.  There is no other involvement between devices.

  Most large storage capacity and the ability to save the cats in the Messages of the Mac offers this possibility.

  Other than that it works the way they created it for (not that that's always how we hold).

• BlackBerry 10 text Message notification not being endangered

  Hello everyone

  Last night, I received a text message on my BlackBerry Z10. I opened it and read it completely.
  The notification disappeared to show that there is nothing new.

  This morning, I rebooted my machine and now there is a small notification message text showing every time I use the BlackBerry Peek. I tried to reboot again, but nothing helped.

  Can someone help me please on the resolution of this problem. It is embarrassing to see it every time and then there is no sms.

  I also tried, and it didn't work. But I found a solution.

  I just selected all my text messages in the hub and selected the option 'read prior brand '. Then I opened the last sms on the list and it closed and the notification was gone.
  I still don't understand why it worked, but I'm glad that this was the case.

  Hey there,

  so I updated my software the 10.2.1.3062 weekend and since then have not been getting informed when I get a text message. No sound or LED. I tried to pull the battery, restart several times and it doesn't seem to help. I have to go on the hub to see if I have new messages at random. very frustrating. any help would be great.

  OK, so after having spent 5 hours or more on the phone with technical supports. We were able to solve this problem.  First, make a full backup of your phone in the blackberry link, that was what I had to do a security wipe (wipe parameters, Secutiry and privacy, security). Once it was full, I did a full restore using this backup file that was created and taadaa it's all fixed. of course there is some Setup involved again. (for example, passwords for applications etc..) but my notifications are working again.

• BlackBerry Smartphones text Message Notification problem

  I received a SMS to say that I have a new voice message. I have read the text message and then deleted, but in my opinion, he said that I got a text from my voicemail number.

  If I now click on the text message in my view, it opens a window to compose a new Message with my voicemail phone number in the field. (The icon in my notification folder is now essentially a shortcut to send a text message to my voicemail).

  I can't delete this message or this 'shortcut' at all.

  Have you tried a battery pull? Remove the battery, wait 30 seconds then put again?

  How notifications behave depends on the State of your devices. In order to provide notifications to your attention as soon as possible:

  -If your iPhone is unlocked, you will receive notifications on your iPhone instead of on your watch.

  -If your iPhone is locked or mode and your watch is unlocked (regardless of the question of whether the screen saver is awake or asleep) and on your wrist, you will receive notifications on your watch.

  -If your watch is locked or allowed to do not disturb, notifications will be sent to your iPhone.

• The only text message notification bubble is not on the home screen.

  There was once a bubble showing the number of new texts that come out of the e-mail on the home screen icon, but it ceased to appear. Endurance mode is not on. Any ideas?

  Settings - Notifications - Messages - turn it off

  Force restart the phone

  Restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch - Apple Support

  Change it back and see if that helps

  Since the upgrade to OS version 10.2.0.429 I do not receive text message notifications! the only way that I know that I have a text msg must open a previous conversation and suddenly I see a few new texts! The preview in the hub is stuck on one of the oldest! And I think that I only get texts from numbers that I do not have a prior with conversation.
  I already tried to wipe security, reload the operating system by using the link to blackberry and of course pulling the battery, but none of them worked!

  I had the same trouble. Go into your settings > accounts > Facebook > turn off everything except 'notifications '. Restart your phone and try it. If the problem persists, disable all the options under Facebook and then restart.

• IPhone 5 upgraded to ios9.3.1 now lost all text messages, don't get any notification, stuck "send".

  I've recently upgraded to IOS9.3.1 (previously on the much earlier version but can not remember which) with the help of iphone 5.

  Several questions now all related messages

  (1) all messages have disappeared and brand-new only stay a few hours and then disappear voluntarily (set of parameters for keep forever)

  (2) no alert of working the front desk of all new messages (change the sounds, verified notifications are on)

  (3) when to send messages (imessage and text) state bar 1 mailing of... forever - never goes away until the message has disappeared from the list of messages.

  Before upgrading to IOS 9 I saved on the PC and I think than icloud

  I tried the following things most of them several times.

  turn off...

  verified notifications are on in the settings, messages, notifications,

  turned I message on

  Reset all settings (more then once)

  restored from backup of the computer just before the upgrade - don't know how to restore from an earlier backup if this is possible or to find out if I have a backup in icloud.

  Please help, I'm at my wits end resources, used to use e-mail all the time and now completely useless.  Please not jargon and clear instructions for any problems I'm not an Apple expert.

  I have exactly the same problems since I've updated the software on my iphone 5 c. 9 days since your post, you have a bit of luck to solve the problem?

  I tried something similar to yourself:

  (1) rebooted the phone (several times)

  (2) to reset all the settings of the phone a couple of times

  (3) enabled i-message and SMS messages and turn off many times.

  Everything else looks good, what about my contacts, applications, history calls, e-mail, etc. Just the text messaging application. I see my stock of the iphone that I have
  have 140 MB of messages somewhere, but do not appear to be visible.

  I was told by Apple via DM on Twitter Support to do a full backup and restore of my phone, to completely erase all the data and settings, effectively
  become a 'new' phone again with the factory settings. I hope to try to avoid this if possible option. Am due to an update of the phone, so think I might
  just get a new phone if I end up having to do a full restore in any way.

  I get a ton of emails, and rarely, if ever, require my immediate attention. Text, on the other hand, almost always require my immediate attention but only the figure about ~ 10 per day.

  I want to do is continue to get Visual notifications in the Notification area to the new texts and e-mails. But I want only the phone to play the Notification ringtone for text messages, no e-mail.

  Is it possible to disable or silence the Notification ringtone just for e-mail?

  Or what about different ringtones (with different volumes) to the texts and emails?

  You can select email, then menu > settings to change to a silent ringtone. You can then go to the e-mail settings and select any ringtone you like.

  Thank you for reaching out by Apple Support communities. From your post, I see that you want to stop your Messages to be accessible on the lock screen. I completely understand wanting to keep your conversations private and to prevent their access without your access code. I'd be happy to help you to know what options you have!

  For added convenience, app Notifications have a setting that allows them to be seen and interacted with on your lock screen. It is a setting entirely optional and can be disabled for individual applications under settings > Notifications. Tap the application that you want to adjust (in your case, Messages) and toggle the "Show on lock screen" switch in the off position. You can still receive alert sounds when a message arrives through to be notified, you have received one, but it will not appear on your lock screen. To view, unlock your iPhone and go directly to the Messages app.

  Hi, I recently got an iPhone SE. I got a droid. I installed the Verizon messaging app so I could keep my old text messages. However, imessage will not shut. It is off but is text, so I'm getting texts for both applications and it drives me crazy! I don't like that is the app that I use, so I have to uninstall imessaging or import messages from Verizon in imessaging. Help? Thanks, Fatna

  The app is Messages. iMessages is the Apple version of free text messaging that works over the Internet, rather than on cellular networks.

  When you have turned off iMessages, you only disabled this feature. The ordinary texts are always enabled.

  Messages is deeply integrated iOS and other applications, including Notifications. My advice would be to keep the Messages and stop using the exclusive application of Verizon.

• Do not disturb on a contact - I get message notifications

  This looks like a discussion already on here, but with some key differences.

  One of my contacts has basically become silent. I don't get any notification type when he sends me a text Message, there is a symbol of do not disturb next to his name in my message list (gray cresent Moon - which becomes blue 3/4 moon when I have an unread message from him).

  I first noticed this when he sent me a bunch of messages from his Apple Watch mine and I tried to answer (and failed). Since then, I have had no notification of him when he messages (on the phone).

  Any ideas on how to solve this problem would be greatly greeted :-)

  PS. In addition, my phone is not jailbroken.
