  If the product is activated it will give the option to disable under the Help menu. Also whenever you launch Acrobat it will bring activation window if it requires one.

  You only need the serial number of the previous version that qualifies you for the upgrade.  You don't need to have one of these previous versions installed on the new machine.

  Your serial number is only valid for the product that has been assigned.  Adobe doesn't sell older version of their software, so if you want to get a new license and the old version, you will need to find a third-party provider for it.  When it comes to the purchase of the questions, you are better to talk to Adobe directly than through these forums.

  When you go on creative cloud that you are given the characteristics of DC Acrobat pro and you can switch between that and Acrobat XI last of the Pro has a better description of the important and feature some of the similar feature in DC get little more than a mention of a single word.

  I feel that the interface is very different but all I really want to know will be I be losing functionality of upgrade or are present their just emphasis is placed on the Document and not on the print function, cloud prepress, interactivity and integration of JS are all very important in my workflow so the loss of the any of these feature would be a major upset.

  I hope that the few greater compatibility of interactive elements is available on a desktop pc and mobile versions

  Acrobat DC is an upgrade and when you install it, it will overwrite an Acrobat installation on your computer. The interface is indeed different (but easy to navigate, I think!), but you will not lose the upgrade feature.   You don't have any of your original disc. Just your serial number of version 8.

  If you install Acrobat XI upgrade on a computer with v.8 already installed v.8 should be detected by the installer to XI.

  If you install Acrobat XI upgrade on a computer with any installed Adobe software, then the installer will ask you a longer early eligible version serial number. You enter your serial number v.8 and the XI upgrade installation will continue.

  Although the installation of your V9 is an upgrade everything you need for your installation of the V8 is the serial number.  When you installed V9 on top it would have automatically selected to the top of your serial number no doubt, but also long as you wrote it down (and recorded for the future!) you'll be fine and a new facility would be better.

• Z400 disks with EFI partition not mounting after the Windows 7 Pro upgrade

  HP z400: after a repair/upgrade to sp1 of Windows 7 Pro (64), no matter what external disk with an EFI partition is not installed.  Player will be present in the BIOS and the management of drive, but without a letter. Cannot assign a drive letter.  All other discs mount correctly.  Disks with EFI partition will mount on other PCs.  All the drivers seem to be current and fuctional.

  I thought about it... after two weeks of puzzle, I finally found the cause.

  I run MacDrive 8 so I can play discs with HFS + formatting.  This program should be completely uninstalled and reinstalled after the upgrade.  I had turned it off before the upgrade, but it takes more than that.  Everything works now as expected.

  But wouldn't be INCE if Windows reads discs mac natively?
