The application in my dock icons are invisible

(MacBook Pro: retina, 15 inches, mi 2014)

Last night when I closed my computer for the night, I heard the sound when it starts. I opened it to see what was going on and had one * of a time trying to even turn on my computer.

When I was finally able to turn it on, it took me to the password reset screen, maybe because I kept trying to turn it on. Anyway, I'm able to get back on my computer and now half the icons on my doc are invisible. There is still a place on the side where they are, and I can fly to identify.

They still work very well, but what's past? I updated my computer to the last update after the restart of all that's happened, I tried several, and they are still missing.

One suggestion is to try a repair disk. I have found in El Capitan, first aid now. There might be a plist which is corrupt, but I don't know which.

You can also try to drag out the missing icons, since you mentioned flying over your mouse indicates what applications are. Then after removing the, drag the application icon to / applications on your Dock.

I can only guess that the issue you described, trying to turn on your Mac had something to do with your problem of Dock.

    Was fine when I went to bed last night. Computer did an automatic stop (no windows update). Started this morning and the notification area icons are invisible. The space of each icon is still there because I can mouseover a vacuum arises space and text for each icon.

    I tried the regedit fix, but that is really intended for people who cannot see their system icons. The icons of my clock, volume, network and battery are still visible, but no other icons are. Restarted several times, started in safe mode and windows theme switched from classic to vista. I can't find an answer to this problem.

    When I restart windows, first 2 or 3 icons will begin to show, but then after that, for some reason, they disappear and no other icons appear. As I said, however, the actual processes are still running and I can even access. Just the icons are not visible.

    Try a system restore to a Date before the problem began:

    In the meantime, follow the steps below.

    Step 1:

    There might be a possibility of a conflict of software of third party causing the problem to occur. Test/work around this problem, you can check if the problem persists in aclean boot State.

    Step 2:

    If the clean boot does not resolve the problem, perform the System Restore as Lorien has pointed out to the point where the .jpg files were not intoxicated.

  • Volume options and the speaker in Windows XP icons are not active

    The speaker in my taskbar icon disappeared and the solutions in contlol ane panel volume't available.
    original title: Volume

    No, not the thing to do.

    It is for the audio drivers missing or corrupt, not the mixing table, which in this case is probably corrupted (sndvol32.exe), it is a MS file!

    Follow these steps:

    Right click on my computer on your desktop > second option down - explore > in the menu bar, click Tools > Options > display > scroll down and check "Show hidden files etc" > Apply > OK > then, in the left pane, navigate to c:\windows\system32\dllcache > find and copy the sndvol32.exe file > paste said file in c:\windows\system32 > crush if requested.

    Re-boot

    You should now have your rear speaker icon.

    BTW, if you do not find the dllcache folder, then there is another more technical way to recharge the mixing table, so re-post and have your XP CD handy.

    See you soon,.

    Jerry

    Another BTW: If you really want to re - install the audio drivers and your PC/laptop is a 'make' (HP, gateway, etc.) then go to their Web site and get the drivers correspondents there. Install the drivers from the MB manufacturer only if you have built your PC yourself.

  • Help! windows 7 Windows media player: the album (with album art) icons are HUGE! How to make their small new

    HELP! Im not sure how it happened, but today, by using windows media player, I think that I leaned on my keyboard, by chance and somehow my icons have grown from small (such as 4 cm wide) to huge (as 9 cm wide). I put it on the "icons" option and always have. I tried to find out if there was a zoom button or something that would cause this happens on my keyboard, but there is not, it's just a standard keyboard. Then I tried switching modes, for "tile" of fashion, but they are huge in this point of view too, only 3 albums are now through my screen, when there used to be 6. I prefer them smaller, because it won't take long to scroll down threw them, I sense a tun of the music. I looked in the settings and can't seem to find a way to change their return. Please let me know if you have a solution for me! Thank you guys!

    HI Branika,

    Apology for a delayed response.

    You can try this procedure and check if it retains the size original album art information of the media file in Windows Media Player:

    • Open the media file in Windows Media Player. Click on the file and then press F4. Now the album art will not be displayed.
    • Press the F4 key from the keyboard. This will reset the size of the info from the album. This works very well for a specific file. You can also choose to support those who don't have the default size and use specific keys to reset.

    If this does not help, we will proceed with several troubleshooting steps ahead.

    We will restore the size of album art using the registry change and check if it helps. Check out the link and follow the suggestions that are marked as an answer:

    Note: Please make sure that you back up the registry files before you start the troubleshooting steps listed above.

  • the photos exported to a subfolder are invisible in the subfolder

    I use a Mac 27 32-bit inches. I have Lightroom 5.7.1. on the Mac, and something has changed since yesterday.

    When I develop the photos that I imported as dng and I'm trying to export them as JPEGs for the same folder (and you select to put them in a subfolder) Lightroom does not create a subfolder.

    The photos are exported as far as I see them in the specific folder in the Finder as a subfolder (Yes) in which they are developed in jpeg. If all goes well except that Lightroom does not create a subfolder in which I see them.

    I don't see the photos developed in Lightroom.

    Can someone help me?

    You expect the exported photos to be imported and appear in Lightroom?

    To do this, you must have a check mark in the box "add to catalogue".

  • Icons are white or invisible at the start of windows 7.

    We have just upgraded a laptop Sony Vaio running Vista 32-bit Windows 7 Home Premium. There were not problems by installing the software and Windows loads fine but once it does all the icons on the desktop and in the menu start are either a box white or completely gone. The icon shortcuts seem to work when you double-click. The same problem occurs in windows Explorer. For example, in the pictures folder, none of the thumbnails are viewable. It's the same thing with the white boxes. We have updated the drivers and it doesn't seem to help. I also reset the icon cache and who still doesn't seem to help. The interesting thing is that if I start the computer in safe mode icons ARE visible. Any ideas on what can be causing this and what can we do about it? Let me know if more information on the specifications of the computer is required and I can post it. Thanks in advance.

  • Any way to keep Dock icons to jump?

    I have sensory processing problems. Animation hurts. I know that the jump is supposed to indicate alerts, but the alerts were never important, let alone sufficiently important to justify the migraine pain and potential. Is it possible to stop the cursed jump?

    (and the cursed cursor flashing in applications that use the Apple text tools and pain in applications that use Apple leaves, etc.).

    Marja,

    You've been given the steps in 2014. to restrict the cursor blink in the selected applications. Is it now does not work in El Capitan for you, or he was confined to the scope of application?

    The following can disable Dock icons which rebounds in El Capitan, or it may not. It is a Terminal solution. Only copy and paste commands of blue text and follow each line with a return.

    # Disable Dock icons which rebounds (except Launchpad) for this account

    $ default write com.apple.dock non-rebond - bool True

    $ killall Dock

    # activate Dock icons which rebounds for this account

    $ default write com.apple.dock non-rebond - bool False

    $ killall Dock
