The arrow cursor guard flickering in Windows 7

I have a Sony Vaio laptop running Windows 7. Suddenly, just after the update of Firefox, the cursor started flickering. It's annoying as possible and I want him to stop. What should I do? I need a step by step solution this problem. I do not use Internet Explorer at all because it is simply too buggy and mess up too.

It seems obvious the problem that I have regarding this update.

I suggest you only install IE11.  It's really very good.

You can also have an infected computer.  The blinking cursor can tell you what the computer is very busy doing something that you do not want to happen.

  • Annoying hourglass constantly flashes along with the arrow cursor.

    Original title: annoying hourglass!

Since a deep cleaning with Tune Up Utilities, I find that an hourglass flashes constantly along with the arrow cursor.

I also think now that the buttons do not always to react when clicked, although they will be later.

Everyone out there find this and I hope to have an answer?

    davewilk5944

Dave has not been heard from in almost 3 years and since it's the XP community, and you have Windows 7, you can post your request in the community of Windows 7 which is here:

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/Windows_7?tab=threads

And the advice of this KB article for this is terrible advice:

After you have used the boot is a way to solve your problem, you can follow these steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

    1. Click Startand then click run.
    2. Type msconfig and click OK.
The System Configuration utility dialog box appears.
    3. Click the general tab, click Normal Startup - load all device drivers and services, and then click OK.
    4. When you are prompted, click restart to restart the computer.

If you do this, your system will be load and start own Service and component on your system, and it's very ulikely you want that to happen--unless you want your system to work not as yak squeeze.

Disabling Silverlight plugin restores the function of the mouse cursor, but disables display Silverlight content. Occurs with the latest versions of Firefox and IE. The PS2 and USB Wacom input Tablet mouse freeze. Keyboard PS2 remains active, except the "Mouse keys" used in the cursor. Must press 'Back' key to get the silverlight content web page up the function of mouse cursor. Update drivers Wacom and drivers MS Intellimouse Optical. Uninstalled and reinstalled the Silverlight 4. Problem remains.

I can't determine if it's a bug with Silverlight/Win 7 64 bit or a problem with my computer/hardware. I don't have problems with my mouse cursor otherwise. The research of this question gave no solution. Suggestions to solve this problem would be appreciated.

    Hi DelgadoFlash,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    2. the problem persists both 32 and 64 bit browser explore?

This can happen if you haveWacom Graphire Tablet input connected to the computer.

You must disable Tablet PC Input Service in the Service Manager and check if the problem persists.

    (a) click Start menu and type services.msc in the search box and press enter

    (b) later in the list of services, locate Tablet PC input service.

    (c) make a right click on it and click Properties, set the Startup Type to disabled and press the Stop button.

    (d) close the services window

After disabling the service above you won't be able to use the device.

As a work plug the appliance only when you need to use.

Rename an executable file calledWISPTIS.exe in the C:\Windows\syswow64 directory to something likeWISPTIS_old.exe.

WoW64 is synonymous with "Windows on Windows 64-bit", and it contains all the files of 32-bitbinary required for compatibility.

If the above step works, then you will need to contact Wacom to check if they have released an update on this issue.

  • How to edit text in Design view - that is to say get one I have instead of the arrow cursor

DW CS6 it is a very clear basis on the question of the concept. Normally, I work in code view and have no problem. Sometimes, there is a big block of text in a paragraph that is in a div.

I want to correct a simple typo or insert a text more directly from the view in design mode. However, almost all the time, when I click on-site I change, the cursor is an arrow and the whole div Gets a yellow border. I still have the selection arrow, not the vertical bar I have to edit.

Sometimes I seem to fall on the right set of clicks and get the Edit bar.

    Thanks for your suggestions.

Design mode can get quite cranky when your code contains errors.

Check the validator to http://validator.w3.org and make sure you are working with clean code before resorting to wiping preferences, or by reinstalling config files.

If your code is clean and it is still not allow to click your text in Design view, you may have a problem of indexing of z. I noticed on the pages that use a lot of positioning (APDivs) you can accidentally hide your text boxes with transparent/virgins areas of other elements and cause problems when trying to access this text at a later date.

It's all guesswork without however to see your actual page.

    2. D Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

It's my generic how updates of appropriate driver: (include reinstalling the drivers for the touchpad).

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver, description,.
version, product name, company that created the driver and more.

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - Device Manager - Display Adapter - note the brand and complete model of your
video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this
cannot do anything as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT
This will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party with their
own the software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restoration) and then of the manufacturer of the device
(Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for the BIOS, Chipset and software)
updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - tab drivers version you install actually shows up. This
because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a
pilot - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat if necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW on device at the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER - manually check by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

  • When I use the arrow keys in firefox to go forward and back, the cursor erases tiny pieces of letters.

Even within this field of text that I type, everything is normal, but a back using the arrow keys (and then spacing also forward using the arrow keys as I go back to typing) deletes chunks of the text. Once I have started typing again in this area, the components are deleted to normal. This effect can be captured in a screenshot. After inspection, it seems to be a second invisible cursor, a character to the right of the cursor visible. So when the back arrow back, the invisible cursor trails that visible, destroying the text behind. When the spacing before using the arrow keys, the text gets fact sinking in front of the cursor visible.
