• Pavilion g series: cannot access the recovery partition & disk do not work

• How can I reinstall XP if the original manufacture disks do not work?

  I just got the 'System' disc and 2-disc "RECOVERY" from Acer to reinstall the operating system. I installed the disk named 'SYSTEM' by following the instructions and loaded correctly. the on-screen instructions then say install "RECOVERY" disk 1 of 2. But when I did the drive ejected the CD almost immediately without loading anything. After an attempt BOOTMGR MISSING was displayed on the screen. What can I do to reinstall the operating system if the factory CD does not work? I've never had this problem with any other system. Any help would be so appreciated! I just bought this netbook (used) and need desperately looking for job.

  Are you using Acer laptop / desktop? Try to boot from the system cd. Start your laptop / desktop press F2 or del on the keyboard to enter the CMOS change the priority of boot on CD/DVD as first boot device. Keep the cd/dvd in the drive and reboot your system.
